Mr. Su Bai felt that Gyatso was becoming more of a clown; even mentioning "using eels" was just a deliberately disgusting move. If he wasn't just about to swallow the eel wrapped in a leaf that he was holding, Mr. Su Bai would indeed have to sigh lamentably about the deteriorating world and the loss of ancient virtues.
Even Foye had changed so much, Mr. Su Bai still remembered their first meeting in Tibet. Back then, Foye, bare-chested, was carrying a hatchet on his back, cold and taciturn, scarcely bothering with others, and had killed several people to clean house, starkly different from now.
However, Mr. Su Bai understood the concept that monks emphasize worldly practice. Monk had gone to a Tibetan Buddhism conference, and Gyatso now knew how to go for a walk and grab some late-night snacks; both were probably seeking an opportunity to break through that paper-thin barrier.
