Re:Zero: The Path of Pride

Ethan Caldwell was a recent high school graduate with no real direction, just a steady loop of video games, sleep, and the occasional guilty study session as he waited for Summer to end, and the College grind to begin. It was supposed to be another lazy, uneventful day. Until the world ended beneath his seat and he found himself falling ass first into a dirty alleyway. Now in a foreign land, Ethan finds himself caught between fate and something far stranger. A mysterious black box marks him, whispers of Authority stir in the shadows, and his very existence catches the eye of knights, cultists, and monsters alike. He had complained of a boring existence, but was this what he wanted? Will Ethan rise above the madness that consumes this world, or will he drown beneath the weight of a pride not entirely his own? ~~~~Author Note!~~~~~ This is my first time writing anything that wasn't meant as a school assignment. I understand that I've made mistakes, and the entire purpose of this fanfic is to help me improve as a writer and for me to have fun. Major inspiration, and slight copy of abilities from: The King of Pride. Just a power. Not the story. OC, minor AU (this is for my fuck-ups and fun), and massively First Person Perspective. I've seen some people say they hate that, so just a heads-up. There's going to be slight romance in this, just cause I'm having fun. I'll try not to overdo it since I lack experience in writing in general, but meh. Also... (#NO-HAREM CLUB) p.s. I stole the image of the cover from Witch Cult Translations. If they want that taken down, I'm more than happy to. Just thought the image looked cool. Source: https://witchculttranslation.com/2019/02/21/arc-5-chapter-56-signing-of-a-divorce/

A Random in Re:Zero

What would happen if someone else took Subaru's place in the story? What would his path, his decisions, and his relationship with the characters be like? Would he have more power or intelligence than Subaru? Would he choose the same route, take an alternative path, or do exactly the same thing? Could he endure the HELL of being an RBD user without breaking his mind? At twenty-one years old, Leandro is summoned into the world of Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu. He knows the story because he watched the anime (and is in a Facebook group where novel spoilers are posted), but he doesn't know as much as he should. To add to his problems, his physical condition is poor-not terrible, but poor. He's chubby, and the little he knows about self-defense is what he learned from a boxing class he took as a teenager (he was the most one-handed in the group). He doesn't excel at anything, nor does he have any useful qualities, unless overthinking and speaking in synonyms no one uses fall into that category. Author's Note: This story is based on and inspired by the original novel by Tappei Nagatsuki, credits due to him. Author's Note x2: Priscilla best girl. Translation note: In case you're not familiar with this story, it's originally written in Spanish. This was primarily done using Google Translate, with some manual edits and corrections by me, as I have a moderate level of English. Please bear with me if there are many spelling and typos.

Re:Determination

Thousands of resets, and yet their boredom wasn't satiated. They’d done it all. Genocide. Pacifist. Neutral. Every route. Every secret. Every hidden flag. Every ending, true and otherwise. The Underground had become less of a world and more of a toy box for them, just a play to be manipulated, and lines of dialogue to be read. They were a survivor. A murderer. A saviour. A monster. A friend. A stranger. A god. A ghost. And none of it meant anything anymore. During a True Pacifist run, right at the end, standing beneath the sun with all of their "friends" gathered around, they turned away and opened their menu again. Curious about the door in Waterfall they had come across again, they reached for the reset button. However, the reset button displayed a question mark. An unusual phenomenon. But having already reached for it, they pressed it. Suddenly, the blackness of a void appeared, unlike the usual space between universes, they had destroyed with Chara. This void felt more alive, and it took them. The encounter barely lasted a millisecond. When they came to once again, they were no longer lying on a flowerbed, with a flower waiting in the next room. Instead, they were standing in a busy street filled with humans and... monsters? Raptors pulling carriages? Medieval buildings. No, they weren’t in the right universe anymore. They were in an entirely new one, completely uncharted to them. This time, it was their first neutral run, in the capital city of Lugunica. --- Warning - I portray Frisk as someone similar to Flowey. After many, many resets, their emotions are dulled, and they do things mainly for entertainment. um...? i think that's all. Oh, right, I portray Frisk as female at birth but non-binary by choice. They don’t really care what they’re called. If a character calls them a little girl or a little boy, they find it funny and don’t mind at all. If someone asks directly, they’ll try to be as confusing as possible. finding it all as a game. i hope you'll enjoy reading.
