After my training with Itachi, I went to my dad to learn my nature affinity.
"This is the Chakra Induction Paper, just put some chakra into it, and we will know what your affinity is," Jin said.
I simply nodded and started to put some chakra into the paper. The paper got damp, and then it split in half.
"Hmm, it seems you have both water and wind affinity, son. I just wish that you wouldn't neglect taijutsu training," Jin looked at me with a caring face.
"I know, Dad, I'm going to practice with Itachi, he's the top student," I said.
"Ohh, Itachi, I heard that he's the genius of the Uchihas," He said while teasing me.
Jin saw that I had no reaction and finally said, "Do you think you can defeat Itachi?"
I stopped my train of thought and looked up to Jin, "Do you want me to defeat him?"
"Well, we have a little rivalry with the Uchihas, as we are the only ones with a Dojutsu in Konoha," he said with some contempt.
"If you want, I can be the top student in my class, but I still want a favor from you if I accomplish it," I said while thinking.
"Hahaha, as long as you are the top student of your class, I'll do anything," Jin happily said.
"Okay," I said while smiling.
After a little talk, Jin gave me some scrolls containing some C-rank jutsus. There were 3 in total: Wind Release: Breakthrough, Water Release: Gunshot, and Water Release: Waterfall Basin.
We also began our training with the Byakugan.
The following day, I created a Shadow Clone and sent it to class, while I followed Itachi to the forest. We arrived at an open place and started practicing taijutsu and shuriken-throwing practice.

Like that, my days went off practicing with Itachi in the day and with my dad in the evening. I was improving by leaps and bounds, not only myself, but Itachi was keeping up with me.
And the training with my Dad also went without a hitch.
"You achieved the minimum to awaken the Byakugan some time ago," Jin said with a smile. "I just didn't want to run the risk of failure, so I delayed it until now that you are more skillful and the probability of success is much higher."
I nodded. I don't want anything wrong to happen either.
"We'll awaken your Byakugan in 3 days. I hope you can rest and be in your top form," Jin finally said.
"I will," I replied.
Although I felt confident in my awakening of the Byakugan, there was a probability of failing. The following day, I made a clone of myself and decided to practice more chakra control. At the end of the day, I made my clone release chakra through his eyes just like how I was supposed to do when I awakened my Byakugan.
After concentrating and doing the necessary steps to awaken the Byakugan, I started to do it with my clone. After a while, the temples of my clone started to show some veins. When I noticed that, I simply smiled.
I knew that we succeeded in awakening the Byakugan without a problem. After that, I erased my clone and got the memories. I revised the memories of the awakening and how it felt having the Byakugan activated.
Once I finished going through the memories, I made another clone and had him activate and deactivate the Byakugan over and over just to get used to it.
'Although I already achieved my goal of awakening the Byakugan, I still need to get used to using the 360-degree view. It's not easy going from cone view to an all-around one. I also want to get rid of the hand sign that's needed to activate the Byakugan.' I thought while heading to my room to sleep.
And like that, the moment of my awakening began. It was decided to do it in the training room, and my mom was also with us.
"Okay, son, it is time to awaken your Byakugan." My dad said solemnly. "This will be a great achievement in your life that will define your future."
After a few seconds of silence, my dad activated his Byakugan and focused on me, "You may begin when you're ready," he finally said.
Immediately after he said that, I began. We had to do some poses of tai chi to concentrate and control our chakras better. Once I finished the poses, I took a deep breath and started to do the hand signs.
I felt how nervous both of my parents were at this time. I slightly chuckled in my mind, but didn't show it on the outside. I already have experience awakening the Byakugan, so my nervousness went away.
Finally, I performed the last hand sign required to awaken the Byakugan, a Boar with nearly straightened fingers, and the Snake with the right index finger lifted.
After that, my parents let out a loud sigh. 'It seems that they were nervous,' I thought while having my Byakugan activated.
"You make me proud, son," Jin said at the end. After everything was over with we went back to the house and had a great feast waiting for us, courtesy of my mother.

"Hey, Itachi, I don't think I can keep on coming here anymore," I told Itachi after we finished practicing.
Itachi stopped when he heard me, "Why is that, Akira?" he simply replied. "I have a lot going on right now; I won't have a lot of time from now on."
Itachi just slightly nodded and kept on walking with me. "Take care, Akira. Hope to see you soon," Itachi said without stopping. "You too, take care, Itachi," I replied while heading home.
