Snow Ball, meowing persistently in an attempt to attract attention, turned its head and happened to lock eyes with its owner in the kitchen, but the owner who used to gaze at it with nothing but adoration... now had a look that seemed like he was about to pick it up by the leg and toss it away?
Snow Ball's tail shot up in alarm.
Bo Tingshen came out and picked it up.
Ye Xian heard Snow Ball make a racket of squeals and, intrigued, stuck out her head only to see Bo Tingshen gently stroking the cat.
A hallucination?
Smart enough to recognize the situation, Snow Ball, having been smacked on the bottom, shut its mouth tight, afraid to set off its owner again.
An hour later, Ye Xian came out with a plate of sumptuous breakfast.
