Chelsea POV
"Is that really okay?". Jade asked carefully through the phone. Currently, I just recovered from listening to her freaking out when I broke the news about Tina who was going to take part in the play.
"Yeah, I think it's the best bet. That dense Tina is crazy over her secret alien crush by the way". I replied nonchalantly.
"You're right, I guess. Honestly, I pity Dash for having a crush on her for like.. years? How many years have it been?" I heard Jade sighed. That couldn't be helped. Tina obviously in love with her unknown alien, so of course anything about other boys didn't faze her.
"Four? Three maybe. I don't know. Hey, it's not me who's trying to woo Tina these past years. I do blame Tina for being absurdly oblivious but really, that stupid Sonic Dash need to make a bolder move". I blurted out of annoyance. It was pretty annoying when our family keep talking about getting engaged to each other for real.
Dash and I were childhood friends. This was like your usual family arranged marriage or friendship I guess. Our parents had been best friends since their high school years. Four of them to be exact.
Once, they joked about having their children marry each other so that they could be one big family. Later, it turned out they had me and Dash to be friends since our diaper days. That damn joke was slowly becoming their solid wish over the years. They tried to not be obvious about the arranged marriage but lately it was getting on my nerves.
Guess what. They planned a family dinner but turned out it was a 'romantic dinner' for just the two of us. Ugh. Don't get me started on how they tricked us to have that freaking dinner. I even reluctantly ditched my plan to go on a trip with Jade and Tina. We were looking forward for that trip for god sake.
But ugh it just went to waste. It was just so hard to find time to go on a trip together as we were very busy with our own schedule. I wanted to told them to go without me but I knew they would just cancel it anyway. Because for us, it wouldn't be fun with one of us left behind.
"That's true though", Jade let out a soft chuckle.
"But I just can't imagine when they end up together. Must be a really really cute couple. Awww I can't wait to see them flirting with their red cheeks". She squealed as if she's fangirling over a kpop idol whom she always adore.
To clear any misunderstandings, I'm NOT involved with this kpop thingy. But I respect Jade's crazy interest in them. Everyone have different preferences, aren't they? Wait, this is getting out of topic.
"I swear they will be shameless with their flirts and try to get out of my sight". Little did I know, I just jinxed my future with that sentence.
