Chapter 12 - The Argument

That night came faster than we all expected. It was 9:55 pm and the boys and where already dressed up and ready for the night. Of course we got time to take a shower. Now the boys where hiding under our beds since this was the time Mrs. Margret normally came to check up on us. She didn't come and it was already 10: 55 pm.

"This is hopeless. " Adrien grumbled, crawling out from under Maya's bed. "Yeah, isn't she ever going to come in to check on us again. I feel like we fake for nothing." Maya sighed, rolling her eyes. Liam crawled out from under my bed and sat at the edge. "Yeah, you guys I'm seriously tired." I yawned.

"We have barely done anything today, how can you be tired?" Adrien scoffed. "Dude, you really don't have to do anything to be tired. You don't have to be rude about it." Liam groaned. I kind of felt hurt by what Adrien said. Did I do something wrong to him?

"Liam it's ok, he's right." I mumbled. I looked up at him and faintly smiled at Liam. He returned the smile with a bright one.

"Oh my god, can you guys stop!" Adrien exclaimed. We looked at him confused. "You guys are acting like everything is ok but it's not." He mumbled. I sighed and got off the bed and sat beside Adrien on the floor.

"Adrien, we know everything's not ok. Is there something your not telling us?" I asked, reaching a hand out to Adrien's hair and pet it.

"The leader of the monsters may be my dad..." Adrien sighed out, looking at me straight in the eye.

"WAIT, WHAT?!" Maya screeched. "Hm, shocker." Liam grumbled. "What with the fucking attitude, huh?" Adrien said, glaring at Liam.

"Well you SO happen to know everything we didn't know and now suddenly the leader of the monster must be your dad? That's bullshit." Liam groaned, folding his arms across his chest.

"Liam, what's gotten into you?" I asked. Why was he acting so defensive all of a sudden? I saw something in Liam's eye once we made eye contact. I just couldn't quite figure it out.

"Oh shut up Liam, the only thing you know about this monster thing is show you are too scared to face one." Adrien huffed, running his hand through his brown hair.

"Make me you intolerant shit." Liam grumbled, pushing himself off the bed. Adrien Also got up from the floor. The tension in the air was so thick that you could cut it with a knife. I looked at Maya with a worried look.

"Boys, please don't." Maya exclaimed with pleading eyes. They just ignored her. Then, there was a BOOM.

Oh no, Liam.

Liam blew a punch straight to Adrien's face. He didn't hesitate to punch Liam back. Soon enough the 2 boys where wrestling on the floor.

I immediately reacted and ran to them, pulling Liam away from Adrien while Maya did the same to him.

"Liam what has gotten into you?!" I yelled at him. I lost myself at that point. Liam snatched his hand out of mine. "I fucking hate you Adrien." Liam grumbled, stomping out of the room and slamming the door. There was pure silence in the room...

What happened to them?!

"What a bastard." Adrien groaned, slumping down beside my bed.

"I have to go after him. When I come back, you guys are gonna explain yourself." I explained, running to the door and and opening it. Liam was sitting on the cold stone floor near the door. I closed the door and sat next to him.

I laid my head on his shoulder, feeling the butterflies in my stomach but pushed it away because this wasn't the time for it.

"Liam, what was that in there? Why where you so angry at Aiden? What did he do? He's going through stuff, you can't do stuff like that." I mumbled. I felt Liam tense up and harshly remove my head from his shoulder. Did I do something wrong now.

I looked at him with tears in my eyes. I can't cry now, oh God.

After mentally deciding, I used one of my hands to cup Liam's cheeks and gently turn his head to look down at me. I'm not that much shorter than him. Just by a few inches.

"Liam, what's wrong? You can tell me." I sighed out. He just looked at me, dumb founded. "You won't get it." He grumbled.

"That's the exact thing I said this morning, you can't be sure." I said, smiling at him.

"Fine. He said that.....My parents killed themselves because of me." Liam finally said. Oh-

"Why would he..." I said, looking at Liam with concern. "Because I was saying that Sally wasn't that important and that we shouldn't really like keep her. We barely know her ok." Liam sighed, looking down at the floor.

"I get that I mean, but Sally has gotten close to him so you have to respect that ok Liam. But still, what he said wasn't alright. But you both where wrong in this matter. You have to apologize to each other." I said, trying to reason with him. He just nodded and looked straight into my eyes. Oh God, the butterflies are back. This time I didn't stop staring. We where just lost.

My eyes started fluttering closed as I felt our faces inch closer. I felt his hands grab my waste, pulling me in more.

"Guys, are you done yet?" Maya asked, sticking her head out the door. We quickly jumped apart, hoping she didn't see anything. "Oh uhm, yeah we are, I guess." Liam mumbled, clearing his throat then standing up and walking back into the room.

"Maya than looked at me with excitement in her eyes. I laughed a little and rolled my eyes. She closed the door quickly as I got up from the floor and she launched on me with so many questions but only one stood out.

"Did you guys kiss?!" She asked, impatiently. "What, no." I laughed out. Her smile turned into a pout. "Why not?" She whined. "Cause you came in. Now, let's go back inside." I laughed out. We walked back into the room, happy to see Liam and Adrien hugging it out.

"Well, are you guys going to sit there or are we going to the forest?" Maya asked. The boys just nodded. I walked over to my bag and swung it over my shoulder.

This is going to be a long night...
