Noah got up and stretched.
"Yawn."
Noah walked out his room to get ready. Looking around, there was no signs of his sister coming home while he was asleep.
"The portal she is in must be an abnormally big one for her to take this long."
After having breakfast Noah walked out of the house to a sunny day.
As portals go up in grade so does the size. A F-rank portal would be about the same size as a 10-story building. Portals slowly starts to increase more in size between levels the higher someone goes. An A rank is about the size of New York City, while a S rank is about ten times that.
And higher ranked portal hunters usually try desperately to rope in summoning hunters with rideable summons. Since summoning hunters are rare, those hunters usually hire lower ranked ones to be porters, even though at that level it is too dangerous to have a porter.
When Noah got there, he saw seven hunters. five were men and two were women.
"Hurry up porter! You're wasting our time." A tall man with a bulky body and blonde hair shouted out.
"Hurry up and hold our stuff. I want to finish this fast so I can level up and go to E rank portals," He demanded arrogantly.
Portals have varying strengths to them even in the same rank. The monsters in there can be stronger or there can be more king beast which are the rulers of the portal's area. Portals can also be bigger or smaller than what it usually is. Usually this reduces or increases the amount of monster. All this factors into whether a portal is F-, F+, or F.
Noah used inspect on the group of hunters finding out two are F and four are F- hunters.
Then he used his ability on Arrogant guy.

Noah raised an eyebrow at the ability rank.
'With an ability ranked like that he can definitely become an E- rank hunter. A pretty weak E-, but for someone with a F rank stat that great. Also, what does all these numbers in the parentheses mean?'
Normal inspect shows exactly what that hunter sees in their window, which is everything Noah sees except the numbers in the parentheses. An ability rank is usually determined when hunters use them. It is measured by past abilities and how it fairs in a portal.
'Wait what if these parentheses are the stat and level caps!'
Noah eyes widen after that thought. Hunters figure out what their stat cap are when they can't add points into a certain stat. Level cap is harder to know though. It is the same as stats where someone would only know when they can't add to it. So, the only time someone would know they reached their cap is after they spend a long time trying to lvl up and they don't lvl up.
Stat caps, level caps, ability rank, and stat rank determines a hunter's rank overall. Stat rank is still the thing that determines the rank because of reasons already stated and the fact that stat and level caps usually becomes higher the higher someone's stat rank is. There is still a chance a S rank hunter's level cap can be 30, which is very low for an S-rank. This is the worst thing can happen to a S-rank because as stats become higher, the amount of power gained when one stat point is adding increases. So, since they gain very little stats in total compared to the average S-rank they are considered as waste.
Noah pondered on his thoughts while grabbing all the hunter's object.
'I have to test this.' Noah them takes a deep breath.
"Mister, for you to be able to go into E rank portals after leveling you must have a pretty high stat and level cap. So, I can know your talent well, can you please tell me if you have any stats that have reached their limits," Noah says this with a smile and a admiring tone along with giving a tiny bow to please Arrogant guy.
Arrogant guy was flustered then immediately gave a smirk.
"This is how people of lower ranks are supposed to treat me," Arrogant guy says this while looking at his two F- and F hunter lackeys before turning to Noah.
"If you want to know what true talent my third priority stat is, agility, is capped at thirty. Pretty high compared to normal hunters," saying this like it suppose be good.
'That is not that high, you are just comparing yourself to F and F- hunters.' Noah gives Arrogant guy a bewildered look.

'All of my stats do not have a cap being shown and my level cap is not shown either. So is it either I don't have a cap, or my skill just doesn't show it.'
As Noah was walking, he was shoved by one of the only guys who is F rank and tumbled a good ten meters. Even though the guy's stats were sixty times as many as Noah that didn't mean he is sixty times as strong as him.
When Noah recovered, he saw Arrogant guy, the guys who pushed him (Push guy), and two of the F- ranked guys snickering or smiling at him condescendingly. The one non-lackey guy and the two women just ignored them because of this being normal for porters to be messed with. The F rank woman just huffed and motioned to remind everyone to start heading into the portals instead of wasting their time.
Noah just sighed, got up, and headed for the portal. The portal was violet world energy swirling around in an oval shape. Portal rank is easy to tell by the color that goes from violet(F) to red(A) in the order of the rainbow (ROYGBV). S rank portals are gold, SS rank is white, and SSS is black.
'When I get in, I need to find a way to sneak away from the group without being in danger so I can test this skill'
With that thought, Noah walked in the portal with the hunters.
When he passed through the portal, he was forced to close his eyes and felt a warm soothing feeling around himself before he felt like he was back in the real world. When he opened his eyes, he saw a forest untouched by human pollution. Fresh air and crystal-clear water were the first thing he noticed. Then it was the group of 20 black giant foxes surrounding them.
