Alex's group followed the archer group, while a little reluctant at first, they have no other choice but to follow them, they tried conversing with them, only to be answered with a glare and a 'shh' sign so they walked through the forest in silence.
Everyone is still on guard, the archers have an arrow loaded in their bow as they walk forward. Kristin and Elijah are ready to throw out their attacks as well.
They kept walking and walking until it was sunset. The archers jumped on the lowest branch, which is about 10 meters above the base of the tree, Alex's group watch the archers climb the tree skillfully
The others tried to climb the tree, but only Elijah and Charlotte were able to do so, and even when they were climbing, it's a huge struggle for them because there's almost nothing to placed their grip.
Alex didn't even think he could climb it because he's carrying an unconscious Joana, Kristin is trying her hardest but to no avail, Leslie didn't even think of climbing it because physically, she's the weakest, her strong suits are puzzles and tests.
The archers watch in embarrassment as they jump down again and carried the group up the trees, and once up on the trees, they saw huts built on the trees, with bridges linking them all. There are huts on the trees on different levels, some higher some lower on the trees.
The archers dropped Alex and the others on a platform made of 2 solid pieces of wood stacked together, they admire the huts and how it is built, the huts are only made of wood, vines and huge leaves as roofs but they look very sturdy.
The archers then signal for them to follow them once again, they lead Alex's group into a huts that's at the center of the tree houses. Inside is a barely light room with only 2 torches at the entrance, one could see a middle age looking man and a line of 6 old people, 3 men and 3 women.
The middle age man has a muscular physique and looked intimidating at first glance, but if one really look into it, his eyes were filled with wisdom and experience. Then behind him are what seems to be the elders of the this village.
"Datu," the girl that brought Alex and the others here finally spoke, but in a hush tone, her voice petite. She and her companions kowtowed at the man, it seems he's the chief or leader of this village, seeing the girl bowed down, Alex and the others did the same.
"Rise and tell me who are these young people you brought here," the Datu commanded in a hush but sturdy tone.
"They claim to be young travelers that had been lost their way in the forest," The girl sit upright and explained, still in the hush tone.
"Hmm... Mind telling us how you met this group of young people, Gale?" The Datu asked the girl who is apparently called Gale.
"We were scouting the forest for possible prey and while scouting near the river, we saw them trying out what seems to be magic of some sort," Gale summarized their encounter.
The Datu nodded and ordered for Gale to bring them to a house nearby and have her position guards just in case and would continue the questioning tomorrow .
Gale did as ordered and brought them to a small tree house, even though it seems small, it still has enough room to house all of them and still leave room for other stuff.
