Regret? he is over the moon that they got married. Smiling at her, he walked to his friends.
After 45 minutes,
Chen Yumi is already tipsy with the way Li Jing kept pouring her drink. every time she tried to stop her friend, she met with a pout and a lecture about how she didn't tell her about the marriage.
Having no choice, Yumi kept drinking and now she can't stop blabbering stuff to Li Jing.
Yichan was completely sober and Zhao Jingyao stopped drinking after Li Jing walked in.
while the crazy drunkard girls were busy gossiping and giggling among themselves , Zhao Jingyao and Yichan were having a full on serious discussion.
"So, How are you feeling after getting the girl of your dreams?" Zhao Jingyao asked yichan who was looking at Yumi with a small smile on his lips.
Looking at Zhao Jingyao, Yichan smiled without replying.
"everything aside, I am really happy for you yichan. But when I think about poor chengguo who went on a so called business trip, I feel kinda bad. I mean you could have just told him no, I am sure he would have declined to marry her but you had to go and attack the Fang enterprise?. Don't you think it's a bit too extreme?"
"Extreme? he should be happy I only did a small damage. if you hadn't known about the marriage or worst case, she already married him and signed a stupid contract, do you think right now I would be able to stand here talking to you like this?"
"A contract? seriously Fang chengguo had some guts to even think about trapping her that way. if he would have married her, I don 't even know what I would have done to hi and his company." - Yichan said gritting his teeth.
Nodding his head, "But have you thought about what happens when yumi gets to know that you are the reason chengguo couldn't make it to the bureau" - Zhao Jingyao asked.
Without replying Yichan looked outside of the office facing the city view. Jut when Zhao Jingyao thought he won't reply anymore, Yichan slowly said, "No matter what, I am not gonna let her get away this time Yao. it killed me when she dated Xu Hao. Now that she is my wife, I have no intention of losing her."
Smiling at his friend, Jingyao squeezed Yichan's shoulder " Congratulations brother. I can't believe you are married."
Suddenly remembering something he winced, "Oh shit, you got married, my parents will kill me now to get married too" - he held his forehead.
Yichan smiled at him and turned to yumi only to realise both the girls are crying now.
Rushing towards Yumi, he pushed Li Jing aside, knelt before her and asked, "yumi, what's wrong? why are you crying? Did Li Jing say something?"
chuckling at his friend, Jingyao went and helped discarded Li Jing up and made her sit on the opposite sofa.
Yumi who is intoxicated looked up at Yichan and cried harder. "Brother Yichan, I am married now. you know how many things I wanted to do before getting married? I wanted to go to college, go on a romantic trip, get proposed. I had everything detailed together with Jingjing. we even have a scrapbook about what kind of decoration I want for my wedding, what dress Li Jing has to wear to be my bridesmaid. But now everything I dreamed went sideways. I am married and it's not even real" - she cried.
Looking at her crying, Li Jing cried even harder. "Yumi, don't worry. my brother is a jerk who doesn't know how to propose. I will tell my aunt and ask her to teach him a lesson. don't cry"
Looking at his sister cursing and crying and his new wife crying, yichan didn't know how to deal with them.
Jingyao looked around, "oh shit, these two had 3 whole bottles of wine sitting here while we were talking."
Sighing, Yichan looked at him and said, "Can you get Li Jing home?"
"Yeah, yeah my driver is still around. you take care of yumi."
looking at yumi who was still mumbling, on the couch with her eyes closed, Yichan felt his heart was gripped by somebody really hard. her tears were never his favourite. he can tolerate anything when it comes to the outside world but not her being sad.
lifting her from the couch, "I am leaving. let's meet tomorrow for lunch."he said to Jingyao and left with yumi in his arms.
Yichan carried the drunk Yumi to the car. After putting her in the seat and buckled the seat belt on, he drew back and put his right hand on the car top and leaned in to look at her closely.
Yumi was sound asleep. but her cheeks and eyes were stained with tears. wiping the tears with the other hand, he smiled at her. he couldn't believe that his dream girl, his only love, only ever crush was now his wife. will he ever get bored of saying it?
"Silly girl, whatever you want its yours. college, trip, wedding, proposal everything. I am sorry I should have planned the marriage better. it's my fault for making you sad, but I have every intention of making all your dreams come true. Trust me this time." he said caressing her cheek with his thumb.
Looking at her closely, her face flushed from being drunk, her cheeks red, she looked like a goddess to him. there wasn't a single time he saw her, that his heart didn't skip beat. all he wants to do is kiss her but the first time he is gonna kiss her won't be when she is unconscious.
even though, she thinks this is a loveless marriage, it isn't one for him. All his life, there is only one thing he ever wanted, to love her and spent the rest of his life by her side loving her. and now that he got the chance, he can't wait to show her how right they are for each other.
