Looking at her for a few more seconds, he closed the card door and went to the driver side.
Starting the car, he drove towards his condo.
After driving for 30 minutes, he entered the Lakeside Serenity compound.
Lakeside Serenity is situated on the east side of the city right on the bank of lake. All the condos are designed in a way that the backyard of every condo has the view of the lake.
There are only 6 condos in this neighbourhood. All of the condos are occupied by the wealthiest bachelors and newly weds. The privacy and security here is top notch. Zhao Jingyao has been looking to move here from the Zhao household for so long but even with so much influence, he cannot secure one unless one of the remaining residents vacates. and once his mum lets him leave the Zhao mansion.
Stopping the car infant of his condo, Yichan got up and went around to open the door for Yumi. Not once through the drive did she wake up or even stir. she was in very deep sleep. Hence, Yichan picked her up and walked into the condo.
As soon as he was infant of the door, the door was opened from the inside and Butler Chang. He is the one who takes care of Yichan. Yichan was against having anyone in his condo, but Mother Zhang was hell bent on sending Butler Chang, the cook and the 3 maids who reside here. Unable to fight over his mother, Yichan just shook his head and went ahead with it.
even though his condo is a duplex, Yichan made sure to build the staff their own quarters on the other side of the condo separating them from the main condo to give them and himself privacy.
only Butler Chang lives in the condo on the ground floor. While Yichan lives on top floor.
When Butler Chang saw Yichan carrying a woman in his arms, he was shocked. With wide eyes, he looked at Yichan and was about to say something, when Yichan shook his head indicating him to not say anything.
Carrying her up the stairs, he went in to his room and placed her on his bed. Bending down, he took off her heels. When he saw her feet all red from the heels, he sighed and rubbed her feet and massaged her calves.
Butler Chang who followed Yichan to his room saw this. He couldn't see who the lady was when yichan held her. Now that she is on the bed, her face was apparent and he recognised Yumi in a second. He knew his young master always had feelings for Yumi. Butler Chang is the one who delivers the chocolate Yumi's place every month.
But he never understood why his Young master never confessed his feelings for her. Yumi has been to this place a few times, but she was always accompanied by Li Jing and Zhao Jingyao. She never came alone.
But now, Yichan not only bought her home alone late at night but he bought her into his room and made her sleep on his bed and is massaging her feet.
These past few days his young master was very sad about Yumi's wedding. He only knew about it because Yichan asked him to deliver the chocolates to Xu Mansion from next month as she was getting married. he was shocked seeing all this. But he knows Yichan very well. Yichan is not someone who does things without thinking about consequences. Looking at Yichan one last time, he went and stood outside the door.
After massaging Yumi's feet for a while, yichan covered her with the quilt and walked out only to find Butler Chang waiting outside. Signalling him to follow, Yichan walked into his office room.
Entering the room, Butler Chang closed the door and looked at Yichan who was lighting a cigarette with his back turned towards him and asked, "Young Master, Is miss Yumi alright? She seemed very flushed."
Without turning back, Yichan replied, "She is fine, just had too much to drink. Ask the kitchen to give her the hangover soup as soon as she wakes up tomorrow. Also, Yumi is allergic to tree nuts and peanuts. Make sure the kitchen is free of these things from now on even slightest contact will be dangerous for her."
Butler Chang who was even more confused now asked, "Young master, When you say from now on, does that mean miss Yumi will live here for a few days?"
Looking at Butler Chang over his shoulder, Yichan said, "not for a few days, permanently."
When Butler Chang looked at him as if he grew an extra head, he turned towards him and pulled the marriage certificate from his inner pocket and showed him.
"Yumi and I got our marriage certificate today. So, watch how you address her from now on. She isn't miss Yumi anymore but your young madam. Tell the staff to treat her with utmost care."
By this time, Butler Chang eyes were wide as saucers. His young master got married? today? why did nobody tell him?
Blinking, he coughed into his fist, he has so many questions, but it's not his place to ask. So he simple put the marriage certificate back on the table and said, "Yes, young master. Congratulations on your marriage. I will let the staff know."
Saying this, Butler Chang was about to leave when Yichan said, "arrange the guest room on this floor for me and move my stuff from the main room to the guest room tomorrow without disturbing Yumi."
Now the number of questions on butler Chang's mind went higher. but he just nodded and left the room.
Standing outside the room, he looked at the office room and sighed. he wish he can take back the thing he said about his young master doing stuff without consequences. His young master has completely given up on consequences.
