Hissssssssssssssssssssssss!
A very loud hiss came from the snake. Anyone who had heard this noise could tell that it was in pain and very angry.
I just glared at it and it returned the glare right back sparks seemed to pass between our eyes. It then coiled it self then launched at a very fast speed. I quickly flapped my wings but I put to much energy and flew high into a tree branch. My head struck the bottom of the tree branch and I could swear I heard a gong like a bell being struck. Tears started to form in my eyes but I endured the pain and kept my eyes on the Slytherin representing bastard who tried to kill me and eat my unhatched siblings.
I used my Thunder Crows lightning flame and shot out a tiny ember like pellets trying to hit it while trying to avoid as much damage to the tree as I could the last thing I wanted to do was to loose my home because of my carelessness. It serpentined across the branch avoiding most of my ember shots but one hit it in the back.
It hissed deeply as if trying to indure the pain but I knew better. I don't think it was hurt much my fire barely burned its scales and maybe the slight electric shock did something but no where near enough to elicit that response. Snakes were truly duplicitous bastards in any world.
I flew towards it in a dive bombing maneuver but it quickly coiled itself again and just as quickly uncoiled using the momentum to whip me on my body with its tail. It was obvious to anyone at this point this was a very skilled snake. I crashed into the trunk of the tree and in-between us was the nest.I didn't want my unborn hatchling siblings to be caught in the crossfire so I quickly flew straight at it in a reckless maneuver I tried it shoot at it with my Thunder Crow lightning flame as if I was a fighter jet. It jumped towards me and I turned my body so that I was parallel to it's body and used my talons to rip at it's underbelly. It was a very dangerous move but it paid off all I saw was blood and guts on the branch while I crashed onto the branch.
While I started to get up I saw the snakes maw on me as if it was trying to kill me in a last ditch effort knowing it was going to die.
I hear a Loud Caw and the tension in my heart is released the snake is lifted in the air before me and mother pecks at it till it's cut in half. Blood and guts rain all over me and suddenly the relief I felt is quickly converted into irritation as I give my mother a side glance. She didn't notice my irritation and was peacocking around happily having killed the snake.
You look happy mother I said in a dry tone.
"Of course my dear we have a delicious supper to eat tonight."she replied happily. She was definitely a gluttonous bird. I notice drool escaping my mother's beak.
In order to change the subject and hopefully regain my mother's sanity I had asked her about the materials for the nest. She responded to me as if I were an idiot." I had to drop them to save your life don't cha know." If you want them they're on the ground. Hurry up so we can eat.
I sighed internally my mother is quite the glutton. Even though I was beat up I still flew down to the ground and picked up some of the branches she had found. As I grasped the branches I noticed that they were a bit robust and had quite the heft. When I flew back to the nest I noticed mother eating the snake as if it was a delicacy. Here you are mother. I noticed that these branches are quite durable,where did you find these branches.
She quickly explained that she found them on the edge of the forest to the north where her sparrow friend was. Apparently these branches fell from a tree called the Sunset Great maple tree and it's leaves look like sunset.
"Here you go have something to eat." She said "You can't get stronger while not eating." I sighed and thanked my mother before eating the snake. I looked at the Branches I had and the leaves I left on the ground and decided to make my nest on the branch next to mother's on hopes that we could become good neighbors and look out for each other and also to not ruin my siblings chance of hatching with my cultivation technique. I took the branches and leaves and started construction of my nest.
