As the countdown ended, my yawning finally stopped. I was leaning against the wall, waiting for the moment we would be pulled out of the dungeon. A breath later, we were standing on the grounds of the Seven-Tiered Abyss City; the first tier was finally over. It had only been half a day in total, but it felt like an entire year to me. Considering I had spent a considerable chunk of my life being exposed to the things inside that dungeon, my perception of time must have completely warped.
"Hey! Are you the Raiders?"
One of the guys in white uniforms who managed the city's affairs approached me and asked a completely unexpected question.
"Bro, do you live in a cave?"
"Big Brother Sukrucuk, is there anyone left around here who doesn't know us?"
And there was the absurdity of it all; the two street-smart boys of our party hit the exact right nerve and started running their mouths.
"You have a match in the Arena tonight!"
