Chapter 5 - 5: Rise of the Young Sovereign

England Era 317

Deep within the Ashbtoom Forest, where sunlight barely pierced through the thick canopy of blackwood trees, the air shimmered with ancient, sleeping magic. Few dared to enter this untamed wilderness. But on this day, a lone figure—small but determined—stepped deeper into the shadows.

Arslan, only 11 years old, bore the eyes of someone who had lived many lives. His cloak was patched but enchanted, a soft green trimmed in gold, and at his hip rested a short blade made from beastbone and starlight metal. He moved with grace and purpose.

"Alice," he whispered, voice calm but filled with quiet resolve, "Summon goddess Nico Robin."

System Alice: "Acknowledged. Creating Entity from host's imagination… Materialization initiated. Warning: Entity will arrive unbound and vulnerable. Prepare accordingly."

From the shimmering light in front of him, something magnificent formed. A woman—tall, elegant, and startlingly beautiful—emerged barefoot in the glade, eyes wide with innocence and ancient knowing. Her black hair flowed down her back like ink in water. She was naked, the system birth raw and pure.

Arslan blushed deeply, quickly averting his gaze.

"I'm sorry," he said, fumbling with his inventory. "I—I should've been more prepared. Here. This is yours."

He offered her a soft violet dress stitched with threads of moonlight and dew, a matching ribbon, and silver-laced sandals. She accepted them silently, her eyes—gentle, curious, intelligent—never leaving his.

"You may call me… Nico Robin," she finally said in a voice like a warm breeze.

He smiled. "Welcome to England."

✧ Six Months Later ✧

The newly-formed Nation of England was invisible to all, protected by powerful stealth enchantments and shields formed from 5,000 system points. Only those invited could step into its borders.

The land bloomed with unusual beauty—golden meadows, clean rivers, crystal skies. In the heart of the realm was Rosewood Palace, handbuilt with forest stone and vines that shimmered with light.

Arslan trained each day. He hunted with his blade. Meditated under the waterfall. Fought off wild beasts corrupted by old world curses. And all the while, Robin was with him—watching, learning, supporting.

She was a fast learner.

When Arslan showed her how to set traps, she invented three better ones. When he taught her how to parry, she corrected his footwork. Her skill and poise astounded him, and often, they laughed through sparring matches and shared quiet meals in the treetop hideout they'd built together.

Sometimes at night, by the glowing fireflies, she'd lean her head on his shoulder and whisper stories from the thoughts he seeded in her mind—of long-lost books, ruins of old libraries, and dreams she barely understood.

One night, as the stars sparkled above them, Robin hesitated and reached out, placing a hand over Arslan's chest. "Your heart," she said softly, "is too heavy for someone so young. Let me carry some of it for you."

He looked at her, surprised, then smiled.

"Then let's carry it together."

A soul-bond formed that night.

✧ The System Evolves ✧

The next day, he called out to Alice.

"Alice, show me my system points."

System Points: 10,000

He nodded, satisfied. "Use 5,000 points to upgrade my Literature Combat System. I want to unlock characters and powers."

He trained day and night, sparring with Robin using his new abilities. Her shadow clones sparred with his Shadow Step. When he used Dragonstrike, she would deflect it with walls of summoned roots. They laughed when he teleported too close and tripped over her feet.

"Your timing's still off," she teased, pressing an ice pack to his head after one particularly explosive Death Blossom accident.

"Was that a compliment?" he asked, grinning.

"No," she said, smiling.

As Arslan stood atop a cliff overlooking England's borders, the wind stirred around him with power—Divine Wind. It whispered to him, strengthening his body every day. It wasn't the system that made him stronger now—it was him.

"I get it now," he said aloud, as Robin stood beside him. "It's not just power. It's will. That's why I grow faster… it's my heart. My desire to protect, to build… to be something greater."

Robin nodded, proud. "Then what will you do next, my king?"

He smiled.

"I'll welcome our five goddesses."

He could already feel them approaching from their journey—champions he had summoned months ago. Each with their own power. Their own purpose.

But his heart belonged to the first.

And as the wind wrapped around them, Robin leaned her head against him once more.

"Next time," she whispered, "you owe me a dance. With music."

And he nodded. "Deal.
