He didn't see his parents schedule changing any time soon. So tinkering with his system he kept his mind busy, playing with his stats turned out to be very limited. after adding 1 point each to strength endurance dexterity and speed they all capped out either due to his level or his current physical state. Magic on the other hand he added 7 points and it showed he could keep going. But he liked the reserve he had going right now and figured he'd keep it for a little longer. He also noticed that for every point of strength he gets 1 HP for every point of endurance he gets 1 SP And for every point of magic he gets 2 MP. MP was interesting considering none of the spells he'd use so far consumed a single point. since he had the slots to open up possibly two more spells he decided to open up Mana Manipulation under the dark star for 3 slots and meditation under the white star for 2 slots.

*Meditation: increases one's perception of magic, increases mana regeneration one point per hour. More effective at higher levels.

Passive: increases mana pool three points per level. more effective at higher levels.

*Mana Manipulation: required for enchantment utilize your manna within and without, varying results and effects. More effective at higher levels.

Passive: higher levels will increase mana and mana regeneration.

By their description he felt these two should play hand in hand with one another. Although Meditation by itself at first didn't seem useful, until after he spent some time checking out Mana Manipulation. It only took a few minutes and he found himself with 0 MP. It was the first time he did something that didn't just take decimal points. And even though he felt exhausted he used meditation. after an hour he had two points of mana. So he took a nap. After 2 days of waiting for some sort of change in his parents schedule And after getting a couple of notifications for levels in mana manipulation and meditation he leveled up again.

*Meditation lvl 4 +1 spell slot gained

*Royce Shepherd level 3

*Strength +1, Endurance +1, Dexterity +1, Speed +1, Magic +2, Stat points +2, Spell slots +4.

*Inventory unlocked.

*storage: based off of level and spirit a personal inter-dimensional space is opened up to you to store and retrieve items at will. Current space available, 6000 cubic feet.

'In a game, getting to level 3 isn't anything to get excited about.' He thought while grinning ear to ear. any and all plans he had stewing over the last two days went right out the window at this point. He now had a small cargo hold of space to put whatever he wanted in. his mother was occupied with her tablet at the moment so he crawled over reached under his toy box and willed his tablet into his storage space and watched as it disappeared from under the toy box. 'And if summon prototype works the way I hope it does I can have this talk with my parents before I even contact the ship.' with this all he needed was for his mother to leave the room for a moment if summon prototype worked he could start figuring out what he'd say to his parents before his father got home.

The very opportunity he was waiting for came up moments later when a call came through on his mother's tablet She decided to get up and take it in the office He waited till the door was only cracked and positioned himself in the living room where she wouldn't be able to see him. He summoned his emergency battle armor prototype, And it worked. Something he personally built in his previous life. He only built the one and upgraded the hell out of it. luckily it was stored in a sitting position with its posterior on the ground and he gaged the amount of space it needed properly because the 12-ft tall suit of medieval looking techno armor, capable of flight, outer system travel, galactic communication, and pilot stasis, was now sitting directly in front of him. He placed his hand on it and willed it into his storage. That's when for the time being it became nothing more than words on an illusory screen. 'Fox noticed that thing disappearing for sure it'll make it easier to talk to him'

When his mother finally came out of her office she went straight to his room then returned to him with a new set of clothes and changed him. Her face was red her eyes were puffy she's definitely been crying. That call definitely wasn't a good one but now wasn't the time to ask about it. Holding him and a medium bag in one arm she slid her tablet into it using the other and exited their home. A conveyance pulled up and they got in and he started to get a lump in his throat when she told the driver and it choked up voice to take them to the hospital.

Outside the hospital things look normal as his mother carried him inside. When they got to the reception desk she asked for "Michael Shepherd" His father is here! The nurse told them they'd have to sit down and wait and someone would call them.

After waiting for over an hour and a half. his mother not realizing he was probably as close to his worry as she was He opened up his system and used his five remaining slots on the Cure spell. 'Not that I'm going to need it but I was probably going to get it anyway.' he thought. about an hour after that a doctor walked out of a set of doors and asked for "Mrs.Sheperd?" She immediately stood up holding him never having put down her bag. looking right at the doctor. "Right here."

The doctor held out his hand signaling them through the door he was holding open, his mother stepped through with him the doctor followed immediately after once they were a few steps from the door The doctor began conveying the situation to my mother. "whether he was being robbed or not that's for the police to go over with you. Whatever they shot him with was probably military grade burned a hole straight through his chest missed his heart seared a hole through one of his lungs and went very close to the spine. He's stable right now if he lives through the first surgery he has a good chance of surviving, recovering will be long and hard."

After going up an elevator we made a turn, went down a hall and the doctor opened the door for us, But didn't step out of the way, gesturing towards a nurse he said "You can leave him with the nurse I'm not sure you want him in here for this" But before she could even agree Royce used that moment to grab his mother's shirt and say very loudly and clearly "NO! MOMMY!" And tried his best to give the doctor a serious look.

His mother with only a little bit of shock on her face said "I guess he's coming in." And stepped past the doctor.

He knew his father's condition was serious based on the equipment present. He learned to use most of these things due to a previous... Endeavor. He could also tell by the bandaging that the hole in his father's chest was bigger than one of his legs were currently. The doctors were also most likely pushing optimism despite having previously admitted to the possibility of his father's demise.

*Diagnose level 2

After hitting his mom the doctor and the nurse he got diagnose to level up.

Diagnose:

Michael Shepard, condition: critical. No infection, HP 42/01.

'Just unwrapping him to start surgery will probably kill him. I can't let that happen.' having had no chance to save one father now in front of another father with a new power that could likely save him, he had to try. Grabbing a hold of his mother shirt and giving it a firm shake that he didn't realize was probably at the strength of a 5-year-old right now. "Mommy." He said looking into her eyes in a soft calm voice while reaching out his hand to his father and then said. "Daddy." and pointed.

Without hesitation his mother took the two steps forward and held out her son over his father. That was all he needed reaching out brushing fingers across his father's face while the other hand touched the bandages on his chest He willed the spell as intensely as he could 'Heal!' his eyes had closed and it was like a piece of the illusory screen was on the back of his eyelid he was watching his MP go down. not rapidly and he stopped feeling the pull of the power to the spell after a little more than 10 MP had been spent.

Diagnose:

Michael Shepard, condition: fatigued, sleeping, HP 42/42.

He then pulled back to his mother's arms, She pulled him in for a hug, tears streaming down her face believing she had just let her son say goodbye to his father for the last time. That's when he whispered into her ear "Daddy's fine Mommy, he's sleeping. Let's go home and wait for him." The reaction he got wasn't the one he was expecting. Her legs buckled and she fell to her knees, she held her son while sobbing loudly. Believing that she was hallucinating her son's comforting words. The next moment shocked her even more.

"Jane?" came his father's slightly muffled voice. But for this her eyes shot up. As she watched her husband sitting up in the hospital bed while a doctor and nurse Leaped forward to try and stop him. The doctor's hand's going to compress the wound front and back but finding as they touched the bandages there was no give where the wound should be. The doctor with his mouth agape and Michael knowing what the doctor was looking for pulled down the bandage on his chest to reveal smooth pink skin in a perfect circle on his chest.
