After less than five minutes, Ren singlehandedly defeated the four Lava Hounds.
He then approached Pamela, who had her eyes opened wide like a deer caught in the headlights while her mouth hung open.
"Cast [Cure] on me. I'm suffering from [Burn]."
Pamela's gaze drifted up toward Ren's hooded face, neck straining as if the angle might somehow reveal the mystery under his cloak. For a strange second, it felt like the first time she'd ever really looked at a man. The alluring lines of his forearms and veins were all she could process—lean muscle, clean movement, effortless power.
She made a small gurgling noise, then shook herself from the trance and stuttered, "R-right away!"
With shaky fingers and a flushed face, Pamela cast [Cure]. The [Burn] icon blinked over Ren's head and vanished.
The others finally snapped out of it too, and Rosie was the first to bounce toward Ren.
