Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Drawing Attention in Front of Him

Elara Don inexplicably felt a chill on her spine, as if the temperature in the air had dropped a few degrees.

Did someone turn the air conditioning down?

At this moment, amidst the employees watching the spectacle, someone suddenly exclaimed, "Mr. Hawke is here."

Elara Don's body stiffened, and her eyes blinked.

No wonder Victoria Don's expression changed; it turns out Damon Hawke has arrived!

What did she just say?

In her eyes, Damon Hawke is nothing?

Cough!

Although she spoke quite bluntly, perhaps it wasn't entirely wrong.

Damon Hawke's handsome face was enshrouded with a frosty glaze, his gaze icy as it swept across her, then fell upon Dominic Hawke.

"Come here."

Dominic Hawke glanced at Elara Don, his small hands tightly clutching her leg, unmoving.

This dependent gesture ignited a sense of heroic pride within Elara Don.

"Mr. Hawke, the child is still young, inevitably making mistakes at times. How can you casually reprimand and scold him? People like you aren't fit to be parents."

See how much the child resists them?

These two must treat him poorly!

"Is that so?"

Damon Hawke took light strides, slowly approaching Elara Don.

His striking features were cold as ice, intimidatingly chilling.

The words he uttered were full of sarcasm.

"Charlotte, your tricks sure are abundant! Now that throwing yourself at me hasn't worked, you've switched tactics to win over my son? You keep trying to catch my attention, is this how much you want me to notice you?"

Is she making herself known in front of him?

This man, still so narcissistic!

Elara Don laughed angrily, "Mr. Hawke, I've told you before, narcissism is a disease. Haven't you gone to the hospital yet? Didn't hear what I just said? In my eyes, you're nothing!"

The woman lifted her chin high, refusing to back down.

Her red lips parted slightly, exuding a trace of fragrance.

Damon Hawke's face turned frighteningly cold, deep black eyes harboring a dark whirlpool.

As if the next second, it could suck her into an abyss.

Dominic Hawke's small shoulders tightened, clearly sensing his father's overwhelming anger.

He quickly released Elara Don's leg, forcefully pushing Damon Hawke.

Not letting him direct his anger at Elara Don.

This brat actually helps her!

Damon Hawke lowered his eyes, looking at his little son, his expression growing more somber.

Opposite him, Elara Don's heart tightened, instinctively pulling the little guy into her embrace, watching Damon Hawke warily.

Aiming to prevent him from venting his anger on the child.

Their actions, one big and one small, perfectly illustrated the deep bond between mother and child.

Damon Hawke's brows furrowed coldly, feeling both angry and amused.

Their two pairs of similarly bright black eyes staring at him, fleetingly creating an uncanny resemblance.

How does it feel like they really have a mother-son vibe?

At this moment, a male voice sounded, "Mr. Hawke, am I late?"

It's Evan Miles' voice.

Damon Hawke lifted his gaze to see Evan Miles approaching, led by Rhun Quinn.

His elegant figure exuded grace.

Even if his walking was slightly awkward, it couldn't mask his gentlemanly charm.

Damon Hawke's gaze deepened, remaining silent.

"Elly."

As Evan Miles reached Elara Don, he asked with concern, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine."

Elara Don smiled slightly, "Here for a collaboration?"

"Yes."

Evan Miles responded, gazing at Elara Don with undisguised affection.

Beside them, Victoria Don saw it, her eyes flickering slightly.

"Evan, it's been a long time. So, have you and Elly been in contact all these years?"

Back then, due to her schemes, the two broke up.

In recent years, she heard Evan Miles' newlywed wife passed away, and he has been abroad managing his business.

Have the two rekindled their relationship abroad?

That's a good thing!

"Yes, Elly and I have lived abroad these past few years."

Evan Miles smiled at Victoria Don, casually responding.

The two of them have been living abroad!

Then they...

Victoria Don's face lit up with surprise, "Evan, does this mean you and my sister..."

"Dominic Hawke, come here!"

Damon Hawke, with a grim face, picked up his son and strode towards the office.

His towering figure exuded an icy aura, warning others to keep their distance.

"Mr. Miles, please wait for a moment in the meeting room."

Rhun Quinn quickly gestured for Evan Miles to go to the meeting room.

"Alright."

Evan Miles nodded slightly, looking at Elara Don, "Elly, I'll head over first, we'll talk later."

Elara Don nodded, watching the small figure leaning on Damon Hawke's shoulder, a bit distracted.

Such an adorable little guy!

She hadn't yet seen what he really looks like!

"Still watching? Elara Don, since you and Evan have reunited, don't try to climb another mountain. Damon Hawke is my fiancé, stay away from him and our son!"

Elara Don lifted her chin, warning sternly.

Elara Don frowned, "Victoria Don, Evan and I are just friends right now, but I also wouldn't covet someone else's fiancé. As for you, you'd better not casually scold the child. Otherwise, I really have to wonder, is this child really yours?"

"You!"

Unsettled, Victoria Don's face turned unpleasant.

She glared angrily at Elara Don, snorted coldly, and left swaying her hips.

Bumping Elara Don's shoulder in passing.

Suspicion indeed!

That child isn't her biological son after all.

Yet Elara Don can only watch her scold him!

In the office, Damon Hawke set his son down, his expression as icy as frost.

Dominic Hawke looked up at him without speaking.

Damon Hawke's anger welled up as he pulled off his son's mask.

"Did you complain to others? Do you want different parents?"

Dominic Hawke blinked, grabbing the mask from his hand, and muttering, "I like Aunt Charlotte."

He wants to replace mommy, is it possible?

Damon Hawke's face darkened, at a temporary loss for words.

Why doesn't this child like his biological mother?

"Damon."

Victoria Don's voice sounded at the door, pulling Damon Hawke back from his thoughts; he spoke coldly to the little guy, "Stay put and don't run off."

Dominic Hawke didn't speak, watching Damon Hawke leave the office, Victoria Don's smile vanished, lips pressed tight.

He doesn't like this mommy!

Not even a bit!

Victoria Don walked over in high heels, reaching for his little arm, "Dominic Hawke, you really like that woman?"

Dominic Hawke's small muscles tensed, nodding forcefully, his eyes defiant.

He just likes Aunt Charlotte!

"I'm your mommy! I forbid you to like her! Did you hear me?"

Victoria Don grabbed his arm firmly, her voice stern and harsh.

Pain permeated his arm, Dominic Hawke's eyes reddened, his lips pressed tightly, remaining silent.

Victoria Don glared at him, releasing him.

"Dominic Hawke, remember my words, I'm your mommy. If you dare get close to that woman again, I'll make sure to teach you a lesson!"

Damned brat, just as annoying as his biological mother!

But why hasn't this brat resisted today?

Has his temperament returned to its old ways?

Victoria Don glanced at the little guy, too lazy to think about it; she tidied her hair by her ear and sashayed out of the office.

She still had an endorsement contract to sign.
