In the middle of the night, Hugh Ronan flew back to find Wendy Wayne. Even with a heart of stone, Wendy could still faintly sense his care through his every move.
Past midnight, the two of them returned hand in hand to Hugh Ronan's villa.
This wasn't Wendy's first visit. Though called a villa, it was more like a small estate.
The green lawn stretched from the front gate to the villa, with an outdoor leisure area and horse farm in the backyard, showcasing Hugh Ronan's indulgence in luxury.
Wendy headed straight to the kitchen upon entering the house. After a few steps, her elbow was grabbed. "You don't need to cook; food will be delivered soon."
"You ordered takeout?"
Hugh Ronan leaned against the door cabinet, smiling brightly as he pulled Wendy into his arms. "We have so many servants at home; what takeout would I order? The kitchen will bring it soon; will you join me for some?"
The thought of showing off her culinary skills utterly dissipated.
