Chapter 20: Unexpected
---Madara POV---
"What? Everyone from the Uzumaki Clan has arrived in Konoha?" asked Madara, his voice tense with disbelief.
"Yes. Apparently, they managed to reverse summon themselves into the land of the toads and are now taking refuge in Konoha," replied White Zetsu.
Madara breathed heavily, his chest rising and falling. His mind raced. His carefully laid Plan A had completely crumbled, and with it, the chance to gain a perfect host for Rinnegan had gone down the hill. Now, even his backup plan seemed impossible, but he need to know the report from white Zetsu first.
"Have you found any clan or individual who has the same high vitality and chakra reserves as the Uzumaki Clan?" he asked, struggling to keep his voice even.
"No, not one. Those with that kind of chakra reserve are either elite ninja who've trained for decades or loyal shinobi embedded deep within Konoha itself such as Senju Clan," said White Zetsu.
Madara clenched his jaw. He never anticipated they'd use a reverse summoning jutsu to escape. He is so stupid, wasn't Uzumaki Clan is an expert in Fuinjutsu? Why he only deals with barrier but not with reverse summong, it is because he never had a summoning pet and his last summoning pet is Nine Tails who had been forcefully listen to his order by using Mangekyou Sharingan
Now, he had to consider alternative plan, first is to kidnap an Uzumaki or finding someone capable of rejuvenating his body. But who in the world had the skills to reverse aging?
The Wheel Eyes, the eye of the Sage of Six Paths, required immense chakra—chakra that even a normal Uchiha couldn't handle without going to be squeezed out of chakra. He needed a vessel, a host, or a partner with chakra levels close to his own.
---Marriage Arrangement---
"Did you call me, Grandpa?" asked Mikoto, stepping into the room.
"Yes, Mikoto," replied Hikaku, his tone unusually serious. Normally, he welcomed her with warmth and laughter, but not today. "I have something important to discuss with you. I hope you won't resent me for it."
"You're my grandfather and the Uchiha Clan Leader. I trust your decisions," Mikoto answered calmly, though concern flickered in her eyes. She had grown up fast and mature, especially after losing her parents and since then she lives with her grandpa, watching him dealing with the clan, she understood how heavy the burden of leadership was in the Uchiha Clan.
"Have you heard about the Uzumaki Clan recently?" Hikaku asked.
"Yes, Grandpa. I heard they survived the attack from the other four villages," she said.
"This evening, their people came to us with a proposal for an alliance," Hikaku continued, watching her reaction closely.
"That sounds like a good thing," Mikoto nodded.
"It is. But they also asked us to seal the alliance through marriage," Hikaku added quietly.
Mikoto's breath hitched. Her gaze dropped, and for a brief moment, her calm composure broke.
"You want me to marry one of them?" she asked, her voice soft.
"I won't force you," said Hikaku. "You are my only blood relative. If you say no, I will not make you do this. Marry only if you choose to."
Tears welled up in Mikoto's eyes. Even as clan leader, her grandfather still chose her over politics. She stepped forward and embraced him.
"Grandpa, I am also an Uchiha. I'll marry whoever you choose," she whispered.
"Are you sure, Mikoto?" Hikaku asked again, gently placing a hand on her head.
"Yes. I am the granddaughter of the Uchiha Clan Leader. This is my duty," she said, her voice steady now.
She didn't have a lover. Her status made it difficult to find someone she could freely date, and no one dared approach her casually. If this marriage helped the clan and honored her family, she would accept it.
"Alright. Come tomorrow morning, and I'll introduce you to your fiancé," Hikaku said.
Mikoto nodded firmly.
---Accepted---
Raiken, Kenshiro, and Hiroki arrived again at the Uchiha compound after receiving an invitation.
"Thank you for inviting us," said Raiken, offering a rambutan fruit with a warm smile.
"Yes. I hope we're not disturbing your morning," added Hikaku while receiving the Rambutan.
"Not at all. It's an honor to be here," replied Raiken. "So, has the Uchiha Clan come to a decision about our proposal?"
"You're direct. I like that," Hikaku replied with a nod. "To answer your question—yes, we've agreed to the alliance. However, there are conditions that come with our acceptance."
Raiken raised an eyebrow. "What kind of conditions?"
"I want you to marry my granddaughter. She is of similar age 16 years old and a direct member of the Uchiha main family," Hikaku said plainly.
"Wait, what?!" Kenshiro blurted out, unable to stop himself. He quickly apologize. "I apologize, Clan Leader!"
"It's alright," Hikaku chuckled. "I expected some surprise. But an alliance must be built on trust and shared responsibility."
"I agree," said Raiken sincerely. "And I will accept this proposal."
"I'm glad to hear it," said Hikaku, standing. "Mikoto!"
The door slid open, and Raiken heart nearly stopped. A young Uchiha Mikoto entered—elegant, poised, with jet-black hair and eyes that gleamed with quiet strength.
Raiken, Kenshiro, and Hiroki all stared in awe. Their jaws dropped.
"This is my granddaughter. She will be your wife," said Hikaku.
Kenshiro and Hiroki exchanged envious glances. If they weren't already married, they might have fought Raiken.
"Hello, Raiken-sama," said Mikoto with a graceful smile.
Raiken blinked, then smiled. "Don't call me sama. I'm going to be your husband, just call me by name."
"Okay, Raiken-kun," she replied, her cheeks slightly flushed.
Raiken's heart pounded. He never imagined that Mikoto, the mother of Sasuke and wife of Fugaku in the original timeline—would stand before him like this. Now she would become his wife.
Hikaku observed quietly. As a grandfather, he recognized the look in Raiken eyes. The boy had accepted the proposal even before seeing Mikoto, and now, he was completely captivated. That said a lot about Raiken character.
Mikoto, too, was intrigued. The boy in front of her, with his vibrant red hair, defined features, good looking and calm demeanor was unlike anyone she'd ever met. She felt relief and a strange sense of excitement. Her grandfather had chosen well.

Hi guys, sorry it has been quite a while since the last update. As you know, I had an accident, yeah motorcycle accident and my bone is cracked.
My right hand still twitches badly whenever I type, which makes it difficult to type.
That's why I decided to take a short break. I went to the hospital and they scheduled my next appointment for next month.
Since waiting that long feels unreasonable, I've decided to start updating daily again despite the pain.
