With great speed, they both shot out of the water. Surprisingly, she could fly. Hao-Hao pulled a katana out of its sheath and sliced of one of the beast's tentacle.
It shrieked and swung a tentacle at Mei-Mei. She skillfully dodged it and decided to use her magic. She calmed down and turned both her palms at the monster. Shards of ice flew out of her plams.
"Not enough energy." She tried absorbing as much Mana as she could. "Dad, hold it off while I gain more energy." She sat on the deck in the lotus formation and closed her eyes.
"Sure sweetie."
He created multiple duplicates of himself, causing the beast to be confused.
It howled and attacked the illusions. He began shooting fireballs out of his hands whilst dodging the monster's attacks.
It use a tentacle to hit the ocean, splashing water all over his face. Since he couldn't see, it quickly smacked him into the deep ocean. He didn't want to kill it, it would be a huge lesson for her.
'Mana warmup complete.' Mei-Mei's system informed her.
"Finally."
She stood before the monster as she fired a large ball of ice at it. The sea monster's wrath was unfathomable, crashing against the hull with raging fury.
But she navigated the huge waves and treacherous waters, evading its crushing coils and snapping jaws. She took her father's sword and counter-attacked.
She thrust the sword into its core, destroying it in a flash of light. Tiny crystals dropped from the sky and the people picked them. She guessed that they were important so, she took out the ones that had fallen into the ocean. They were so many, of different colors.
She gathered the crystals in a corner and pulled her father out of the drowning waters.
"I am so proud of you, Mei-Mei." Hao-Hao hugged his daughter.
"Thanks dad."
'Congratulations.' Her system said.
'Second tail unlocked. Please check system tab.'
"Dad, please gather these crystals for me." She ran to her room. "You'll tell me about it when I get back."
