On top of the tiger, Rex, Iris, and Liz all sat comfortably. They knew that leading the townsfolk to the other village would be a daunting task but without this being done. More people could die in the War coming up. Rex already had killed thousands due to the Sect and a few belonging to Malam Bei. He did not want more if he could help it.
Thankfully, due to his Tamer Qi his dragon also came to him. This way the people were protected.
Knowing how powerful alliances would be in the upcoming days. This was a good time to start. Hopefully, Diablo also appeared and was helping with the reconstruction of the village.
If he was, this would bring both demons and humans together. Once word reaches the demi-humans who live in the outer reaches. They too could join in. It would be a stretch at first but at least it would bond the races.
Due to the nature of the Shadow People, Rex knew better than most that living close to open forests was a bad idea. Even the shadows around the villages, Sects, towns, capitals, heck even your own shadow could produce someone coming from the behind and slicing your throat open without much effort or annoyance.
From what Rex learned in the world with the Shadow People. They not only know how to meld with shadows upon birth but have to also be trained how to control the movement because it is too chaotic.
He also knew that this was because the current King was giving out the abilities without holding back. This was causing the wars across the Realms.
As the journey continued slowly. The villagers were exhausted because they had not had to work much these last few months and were worn out before moving just a few hours.
Rex told them to set up camp and to relax until the next morning. Once the sun was rising, they were moving until the sun was closer to sunset and to ensure that others could help move the children and elderly.
The night was quiet. No creature dared to get close because of the Demonic Qi flowing around the beasts. Although people felt uncomfortable during this. They knew better than most not to waste a good nights rest.
The next morning came and the group headed towards the village. The day went much better. Rex did not know if it was due to rest or the fact that they were supposedly heading to a better area.
He had to ensure that the village he wanted built up was being built. He talked to Lilith about it.
"Yes. Diablo sent almost three thousand demons under the Demon King's order to build up the village. Of course, they too were spending nights there working tirelessly. They even managed to split into four groups.
Two groups for the wall around the town a daytime and nighttime crew of five hundred apiece.
One group working on helping the farmers rebuild their fields and builds. I believe this is almost a thousand.
The last of the demons are working on building new houses. They will tear down eight to ten houses a day and build almost five houses.
The materials they are using are from the houses being torn down. This way, once the end of the supply is up. The nearby forests can be used then. By that time, the wall should be done and a building built to help prepare the wood." Lilith told them.
"Seems like a lot going on for such a small village. We also need to ensure that there is room for growth for new people coming into the town. I believe this town will be the key to the victory for the Ninth Realm as long as the demi-humans also join in." Rex replied.
"Got it. I will let those demons know because I did send Zeus under your orders." Lilith finished.
This made Rex a little upset in sending him but he was his right hand demon. He had hoped to have a better chance at the sending Zeus to get the demi-humans.
"What if we send Lady Bella to get the Demi-humans? At least that way, a young lady is leading them to a better place." Isabelle spoke from behind.
She was ashamed to speak of her daughter in a much higher standing. At least she was better than her currently.
"Who told you to speak without permission?" Lilith ordered.
Isabelle became afraid.
"Calm down Lilith. Although the idea is actually not bad. It could help in some ways." Rex spoke.
Lilith turned her attention back to Rex.
"How about instead of Bella we send you instead to lead them to where the others are working? This way we get much more done efficiently." Rex asked.
"Sweet talker. Alright, what do I get in return for doing this favor?" Lilith tried to be seductive when speaking.
"At least wait until we have our chance Lilith." Iris replied unhappy.
Liz found this amusing and replied, "What if you get to watch a couple nights with Rex during our ceremony?"
Lilith was not amused and Iris was fuming.
Seeing their faces, Liz could not help but laugh. Her laughing caused the other two to become angry and Rex to feel more headaches than what he should.
"If I had the chance to, I should have recorded your faces. They were priceless." Liz barely could speak through her laughing.
Iris hmphed her way out of the conversion and Lilith decided to just visit the Demi-humans and try to get them to the other town to secure their position there.
