As the Queen laid out which poisons would be first. There will come a time when he would be faced with at least one of these, if not multiple of them at once at full concoction.
The Royal Knights all positioned themselves to be at different spots doing quick strikes and retreat. Rex had to cultivate and not break concentration during this time.
However, it would take some time before the poisons were ready. So the Shadow King could be taken to where he needed to be in the Ninth Realm.
So Rex and the Shadow King left heading for the town in the Ninth Realm. The Queen started making the poisons. Since the air had been full of the different poisons for almost an entire day before Rex returned.
Not only did the poisons make Rex have immediate results. During his cultivation, even the faintest of movement would cause him to break cultivation.
Meanwhile
"I figured Rex would have already came back. Unless he is getting romance with some of the Shadow People." Iris spoke.
This was not because of her normal intuition. It was because she had known that Rex could easily get into a romance if he ever needed to.
Even as the group were practicing their stances. The gnawing feeling that Rex was getting another woman right now was becoming stronger.
Then Rex just suddenly came around. This made them feel like something was wrong. It should have taken much longer to get the woman under his wing.
"How was getting the new woman?" Iris asked.
Rex blinked. The Shadow King felt his bones shake. The other women stared long and hard at Rex.
"Sorry. I was being poisoned because they wanted to see which poisons would cause me the most harm. I'm here now and that is all that matters." Rex told them.
They did not want to believe that. They also could not tell if Rex was truly trying to be truthful. The Shadow King told them about his wife and why she poisoned Rex.
The other women could believe that this was for love and/or birthing Rex another child. When the Shadow King heard that he could only shudder.
He did not want to believe that his loving wife would want to betray him. He could not help but also think of the other times where she tried using her intelligence to rob worlds of their rulers just to satisfy her need of growth.
As the day continued up here. Rex could not help but think that something was amiss with the Queen. Even his wives told him to stay away from her.
Rex had already promised to go back. This caused him to worry about his new relationship with the Queen. If it was simply just to be the man protecting the Nine Realms or if it was truly something deeper.
The night slowly came to. There was nothing that he could right now. He began to try and cultivate to calm himself so that he could sleep even just a tiny amount.
Every time he would cultivate, he would get flashbacks of the vision he saw. He had to control himself otherwise he would transform in the bed.
He kept his eyes shut and tried to maximum his cultivation. He began to transform into a demon at first. His skin darkened, his eyes turned black with red irises, he did not grow any horns, but he did start to get a pointed tail.
He tried to keep cultivating but he could not stop the visions from coming. Then he felt as if he had awoken up from a bad dream and completely transformed into his Demon King of Annihilation form.
His rage boiled, his mind on nothing but destruction, the Shadow King sensed the transformation but was already trying to set up his protection. Lilith came over to the bed and gently pulled Rex down hugging him.
Sensing that his Soul Mate was actually fine currently. He began to calm down. Until he started having the visions again. This time Lilith was able to fight back whereas the others were not.
This still caused his blood to boil. Amber was watching from the corner of the room. She too began to hug him. Rex could sense that she too was there.
The vision started to change slightly again. Whereas Lilith was able to fight back at first. Now the duo were fighting side by side and actually winning the fights.
Rex could still see the others not getting any help. No matter how hard he fought he could never get them to safety. His heart burned with a fury.
Suddenly the vision changed again. He could not tell why the vision changed. First it was Lilith, then Amber, and now Iris and Liz working together.
He could not help but be cheerful as his visions kept becoming better allowing him to actually sleep.
