Today Rex would return to the seal and attempt to gain more poison resistance. He was afraid of going out of control again. Especially since he was too powerful for the Royal Knights. Even against the former Shadow King, he was having to hold back considerably.
He remembered that the Shadow Queen had been looking very uneasy. He was not for sure but he figured it was because she had held onto him during the rampage.
If she had, then it would make sense as to why they were able to calm him down easier. It was still probably a lot to take in.
He focused on the Shadow King and seeing if he had moved or not. He wanted to know truly if she had used her body to shield the others or not.
He found the Shadow King within the shadows of the center most building. It made sense to Rex but at the same time it would also not be the center most in the future.
He casually walked his way to the building. People were oblivious to the fact that Rex was currently walking around. They were more focused on the jobs that had to be finished quickly rather than later.
Rex was glad that he got this chance to see the people more focused than trying to be respectful. This meant more to him than most others.
As he walked to the Shadow King. A clear sign that he was waiting for him was the darker than normal shadow beside the building.
Rex went over to him. The duo sat down. Rex did not know how to actually form the question without just stating it too plainly. Without hesitation, the Shadow King spoke first.
"Yes. My wife did more to help you than you realize. Yes. She did poison you but she was also the one to make sure she took the brunt of the punishment to help you calm down.
I doubt any other woman would have been so selfish and helpful at the same time. There in the midst of all of us. She nearly got killed because she was trying to right her wrong."
Rex felt the guilt of punishing her while in his Demon King of Annihilation form. Of course, he had not forgotten that he would secure them a place.
Since he now knew that she had protected the others. He would make sure that their area was not only protected but also at the best spot to see the sunrise every morning.
"Can you move now or are you stuck there until the protection is set up?" Rex asked.
"I am free to move currently. I have not gotten deep enough into the protection that it matters if I move or not."
The Shadow King moved into Rex's Shadow. This shadow felt more comfortable than any other shadow he had felt. It was like a child being wrapped up in a soft, comfortable blanket while being held by their loving parents together.
The Shadow King had once felt like this as a child. He would never forget the time he truly felt protected. Even while his wife did this occasionally, the feeling was different.
Rex knew that he needed to be on guard in case something major happens. No one even seemed to care that he was the one to make this village into a full blown town.
Granted the housing was not the greatest currently, the farms were being worked on, the wall that would protect them was done, the communities were at least working together. That was much worst of a talk.
As he had decided to make this the best town that he could make it. He wanted the best spot to go to the people who would forever protect this place.
He got to the other side of the village. He could imagine watching the sunrise from the roof and top floors. The sparkling lights of sunrise to the darkening of the night.
This would be the spot and there was nothing currently being built here. Rex started to mark off the area. This was to ensure that no one would build anything within the boundaries of this spot.
Of course, it would also help to have some other people around. Rex was going to tell the Demi-human's leaders that the area needed to be built in a palace style building at the spot.
Of course, he would grant them a palace style building too. That one had to be the biggest and grandest for the Shadow People who will be living here.
The demons could also get a palace style building here too. Of course, since he was the Demon King. It did not matter to him if it was built or not. He also decided to give the humans a palace style building as well. Of course, it had to be the same height as the demi-humans.
It would be poisonous to have a palace style building that would be bigger than others. Rex had already decided to ensure that it would be one that he personally is being asked to be built.
He would tell them that it would be a palace big enough for him to be the one to stay in there. He was getting some people to live in there in the future. If he did not tell them that it was for him. He was for sure that the others would get jealous.
Without wasting anytime, Rex went to meet the Demi-human leaders, the village's leaders, and of course Lilith who was overseeing the demons.
As the meeting took place about the palace. Even Lilith felt that it was oddly specific that he wanted the palace to be built at an area that was actually quite pleasant.
The other leaders all were worrying about having palaces themselves. Rex assured them that they too could build palaces. Since the one being built would be for him. It had to be the biggest one in the town. This town would become the capital of the Ninth Realm due to the three palaces being built inside of it.
