"I only got a little bit of sleep, but I didn't need that much since I already healed and slept through most of the day". I thought to myself as I started to get up.
I looked around the gas station and nothing seemed off. Gaia and the little girl were still sleeping, so I decided to take a look outside to make sure there were no monsters around.
"There's nothing out here either that's good". I mumbled to myself while I looked outside.
I started to head back to my bag to get some breakfast. I only had a couple of cans of food that could last a bit and some vegetables. But I only had a couple of water bottles. I grabbed some beans that I grew and then I grabbed a tomato and a green pepper.
"I guess I can make something out of this. Damn I should have brought a pot". I thought to myself while looking around the gas station for something to cook with.
Well, I was looking around the gas station and I saw a little tea kettle. I started walking to the tea kettle to pick it up. It was laying on the ground under some rubbish, but it was still visible to where I could see it. I move the rubbish to the side and pick the tea kettle up and examine it for a bit to see if it was good.
"Hmm, yeah this should do it has no holes, I should be able to cook something in it". I talk to myself while looking at the tea kettle.
I started to walk back to the cherry blossom tree to cook under it. As I did, I picked up two small metal bars that fell off the building. then a few rocks that could hold it up. I placed the rocks in a small circle, and I put some leaves in the middle. Then I grabbed a lighter from my backpack and set the leaves on fire. Then I grabbed the two metal rods and placed them across the circle. Once they were laid down nicely, I put the tea kettle on top of them.
"They should work to heat the tea kettle". I thought to myself while looking at the little fireplace I made.
As the tea kettle was warming up, I summoned some water and put it in the tea kettle feeling it less than halfway up. Then I grabbed the beans and the tomato and the pepper. I made a little knife with leaves to cut up the tomato and peppers. Then I opened up the beans and put all the ingredients in the tea kettle. I let it cook there for a while as I did. I looked up at the tree watching the pink petals soar across the sky and then eventually land on the ground.
"This is a beautiful tree, right Alex". I thought to myself as I remembered exactly what happened here.
while the food was cooking, the little girl started to get up and so did Gaia. I looked at the little girl and I noticed that she had beautiful golden hair and bright blue eyes. She had dirt all over her from encountering that titan, but I could tell that she had some way of cleaning herself before.
"Hmm, the water has been out for a couple of days now so how would she be able to clean herself". I say to myself while looking at her.
"Grumbling". The little girl's stomach growled.
"You must be hungry; well breakfast is almost ready now so come on over I'll get you a bowl". I said to the girl as I made three wooden bowls come out of my hand.
"Thank you so much, sir". The little girl said to me while getting off the wooden bed and coming up by the tree.
Then the little girl starts walking up to the tree. I cut the top of the tea kettle off so I can pour the food into the bowls easier. I pour the food into the bowls, and I give one to Gaia and the other one to the little girl.
"Here you go little one eat up". I said while handing the bowl to the little girl.
"Thank you so much, sir". She said with a smile on her face.
We sat there for a while as we ate our food. As I finished eating, I got up and looked for some bottles. I found three empty water bottles on the ground, all the other ones around the head a crack in it. Then I walked back over to the cherry blossoms and picked them up off the ground. As I picked them off the ground, I squeezed them in my hand and as they turned liquid, I put them into the bottles.
"Now I have five healing bottles". I thought to myself while looking at the glowing pink liquid.
I put the bottles into the bag then I folded up the blanket and put that up too. As I was putting the stuff away the little girl finished her food. So, then I went to sit back down by the cherry tree.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, didn't I? My name is Kane. What is yours". I said to the little girl.
"Yes, my name is Aaliyah". Aaliyah said back to me.
"How old are you? You look too young to be out here by yourself". I asked Aaliyah in a serious tone.
"I am 8 years old, and I'm-". Aaliyah started to say but I cut her off before she could finish.
"You're 8 years old and you're out here by yourself. What are you doing out here by yourself". I said to her in a serious voice.
"I-m, I'm out here to get some of those pink petals. They let my sister get some rest". She stuttered a bit as she talked to me.
"Okay I understand you were just trying to help your sister, so I won't get mad at you then. But where exactly did you come from Aaliyah".
"I came from the school. There's a camp of people there". Aaliyah told me.
My eyes started to open wide and then I quickly stood up.
"There are more people out there"? I asked Aaliyah as I stood up.
"Yes, there's multiple we have a camp at the school, and we defend off the beast of monsters that come our way". Aaliyah told me.
My heart starts beating fast. I can feel my adrenaline pumping, not because I was scared but because I was happy about this news. I started to smile knowing that there are more people out there.
"Okay, then Aaliyah lest go back to your camp". I told her while getting the supplies ready to head out.
"But I need more of those pink pedals". she said to me concerned that she wouldn't get any.
"Don't worry I'm the one who made that tree so I can make it at the camp". I said to Aaliyah kindly.
"You made this, how"? Aaliyah asked me while staring up at the tree.
"It is my power that I was given by mother nature. Oh, that reminds me of how you got me into the gas station". I ask Aaliyah while standing up with the bag in my hand.
"It is my power. I can make things float once I touch them, but it can't be anything too heavy". She said to me as she looked at the tree.
"So, to make things float, can you make yourself float"? I asked Aaliyah.
" Yes, I can but it's just floating. I can't move in the sky only if I'm getting pulled". She said to me with a little bit of sadness in her voice.
"Well, that will help our trip a lot, we should start to head out". I said to Aaliyah while holding out my hand.
"How is my power going to help us". Aaliyah asked me with a confused look on her face.
"I'll show you how, so get on my back and make me float". As I said that to Aaliyah she started to hop on my back.
When Aaliyah got onto my back, she used her power to make me float. I started to get a little bit off the ground but not quite enough yet to give me up in the air. So, I shot my vines at a nearby building and I pulled on them using them as a slingshot. Making us go flying through the sky, then I shot another vine at a building using that to make us fly straight.
"AAAAA"! Aaliyah started the screen as we were flying in the air.
"It's okay, we're fine. But see I told you your power is going to come in handy". I said to her as we zip through the sky.
"Y-your right". Aaliyah said to me, holding tight onto my back.
I had the backpack dangling from my chest. I put Gaia in it just so she wouldn't fly off. As we were in the sky, I started to see the school. Usually, it would take me about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the school from there but this time I only took a few minutes. As I was looking at the school, I saw a huge titan coming at the school. It was just a lower class, but it was still going for the school.
"Shit, I need to hurry up". I say to myself as I made more vines to pull me forward.
But right as I said that a huge fireball shot at the titan, then what looks like to be a lightning bolt coming from the school shot through the titan's head.
"That was quick". I thought to myself as we were getting closer to the school.
"Kane we should go on foot from here, they might think we're a monster". Aaliyah told me.
"Oh yeah, that's a smart idea". I said back to her.
So I brought us down softly and then Aaliyah made me stop floating. Starting walking towards the school will probably be less than a minute out. As we were walking, I saw a lady with beautiful blonde flowy hair and bright blue eyes.
"That girl kind of looks like Aaliyah". I thought to myself.
As I was thinking that Aaliyah ran straightforwardly at her.
"Sis, sis". Aaliyah started running full speed at the girl with her arms wide Open.
"A-Aaliyah"? The lady said. As Aaliyah ranch straight to the woman hugging her tightly.
"Y-your alive, oh my gosh don't ever do that again you had me so worried". The lady said with tears coming down her face.
"I'm sorry sis I just wanted to get some of those pink petals". Aaliyah said while crying and hugging her sister tightly.
"B-but this man saved me. Right before the titan was going to kill me, he got me out of danger and used some of that pink liquid on me. Then he killed the titan". Aaliyah was telling her sister how I saved her.
Aaliyah's sister looked up at me, shocked and confused, probably wondering if I killed that titan myself. Even though she had a lot of questions she stood up and started coming my way.
"Thank you so much for saving my sister, I'm truly thankful". She thanked me and bowed.
"Oh no, it was no trouble I had to kill that titan someday". I said to the woman jokingly.
I started looking around the area and most of the buildings were destroyed. Then I started to take a closer look at Aaliyah's sister. I noticed a symbol on her face. The symbol was red with a cane and two snakes wrapped around with a set of wings behind it. It wasn't a big symbol, but it was noticeable it was on her cheek below her right eye. It looks like a sticker if you don't look at it carefully.
"Oh yeah, this guy's Kane and he can make the tree with the pink petals". Aaliyah said while grabbing hold of her sister's hand.
"Kane is it, well it's nice to meet you. My name is Lucy. WAIT KANE"! Lucy said to me.
"Yes, that is my name". I spoke to Lucy with a confused face.
"Your--". she started to say but somebody interrupted her.
Somebody came around the corner yelling at Lucy.
"LUCY, you're not supposed to be out here by yourself, what are you doing? A familiar voice said while walking around the corner the corner with five other people behind her.
