Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 – Fiona Lennon Happily ever after.

[Fiona's POV]

'Why is Heath's Mom kidnapping me?' What kept running in my mind is one of those stay away from my son's tactics.

'If she offers a reasonable sum, I might consider,' I thought, but soon I remembered that the lady doesn't have a cent on her, making me more curious.

'Why is she kidnapping me?'

But the answers are soon answered when a familiar voice graces my ears when we arrive at the location.

"Did anyone see you?" Esther asks frantically.

"No, of course not," Heath's mother answers.

I am sure Heath is already at her tail, so it doesn't seem half as dangerous to be here. Matter of fact, I will be settling the score soon.

Esther kicks the bag I put in, "Finally, I have got you."

But they were in for a rude awakening; she had been quite fortunate that in all those other situations she used tactics, because this time she would be facing a woman who was raised by a military dad.

She opens the luggage, and I can finally breathe. We lock eyes before a punch lands on her face, and she falls back.

She will surely know who I am today. Former Mrs. Duncan was surely appalled. Her old *ss was screaming, hiding in a corner as Esther and I went at it.

"How dare you fight back? You stole my man, and now you are fighting back?" Esther yells.

But I wasn't here to have a conversation with a woman who almost killed me three times; I was here for my revenge.

"Fiona!" I hear Heath's voice echo.

They had brought me to the closest abandoned building near the airport, which is a stupid decision number one.

She had been doing so well lying low, but now she has surely ruined everything, because surely someone with the power Heath has will find them this soon.

"What? He is here?" Heath's mother exclaims, but I was too busy beating the living sh*t out of Esther to care.

She needed to feel the pain I felt when I was in that freezing sea, the pain this scar got me. She needed to feel every pain.

When Heath pulled me off her, she was already messed up. He hugged me tightly, "Are you okay?"

"Of course, did I defend myself?" I said.

Heath looks at the dead body of Esther as the police apprehend both her and her helper.

He takes my bruised-up face and kisses it, "I am sorry, my wife," he mutters.

And then it hits me, I am married, I am married to this man.

The few days were a daze, Esther and Heath's mother getting sentenced, and me avoiding a talk with my husband.

"You should really talk about this," Clover says.

"I know, but how do I even start the conversation? 'So, are you married?'"

"That would be a start," Selby mocks.

"I am sure he is more affected than I; we don't even have a prenup. What if I say I want half his wealth? Will he just bend over and give it to me like that?"

"Probably," Heath's voice rings, "I am sure you should be having this conversation with me, right, wife?"

Selby and Clover dispensed too quickly, leaving me in a mush.

"So, you are avoiding our talk?"

"You are not talking about it either, Heath," I fired back.

"Alright, you are right; we should both talk about this."

"What do you want to do?" I ask.

"I should be asking you that; you are the one who gets to decide our fate."

"Well, we can stay married, it is not like there is nothing wrong with being married," I truly shocked myself as well, to be honest.

But Heath's bright smile is a great reward. "Yes, let us stay married, let us plan another big wedding."

We had a longer conversation about life; we were already living together, so there was no need for that step.

I had decided to postpone getting to a big wedding because I had another step I needed to take.

A company of my own, after resigning from Gian's company, many thought I would join Heath as he was now officially my husband, but I decided to take a different path.

My own company focused on financial advice, and I had every support needed to start up: emotional, financial, and physical support.

It took years, but in three years, it was now taking big clients that were not working with us because of loyalty to Gian or Heath, but because of the quality of our work.

"Fiona Lennon, do you take Heath Duncan as your lawful wedded....?"

"I do."

Happily ever after, huh? I guess they do exist, because I finally met a man who cares for me and is willing to marry me twice. I hope mom and dad are watching, for I got my happily ever after.
