Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

I picked my stuffs and entered the room. It was as big as compared to the rooms in the orphanage. It was more than specious for two people. Then is she having problem o share the room with me.

" Is it because my dress screams poverty for her? Well ....I guess no-one choses to be born and been abundant by family..."

Then I dropped my stuffs and left for my classes as I didn't want to miss my class.

**************End of flashback***************

I was bought back to my sences with a knock on my desk and a very familiar voice.

" Is the place next to you empty?"

I was shocked to listen to the voice as I knew whom it belongs. I looked up to meet the familiar eyes which starred back at mine with a straight face that she always has on her face.

Meet my best friend and my roommate Emily Lane. Legitimate daughter of Lane family. She has a very beautiful features. Her eyes are forest green which complemented her skin and cute ovel shape face with perfect lips . Sadly , she always has that straight face on her. I could count on my fingers the number of times I saw her smiling. Contrary to her expression she has a very kind heart which she hid from the world.

" Why are you here?"

" Should I report my every action to you?"

" Ofcourse....You are my best friend."

" Such a troublesome girl.", she replied and sat on the desk next to mine .

This is my last year. I wanted it to be better than last year. Last year was like hell for me even if Emily protected me in her own way. However the people still spoke I'll of me and despised me. Despite my good grades, they thought I wasn't worthy to be studying here. Not that I care for their opinion yet it still hurts sometimes.

This semester was quite peaceful as Emily's action publically announced that she cared for me. Thus no-one dared to offend her. Not even Grace bullied me. She still have that disgusting look everytime she saw me.

Emily belonged to a very powerful family and has been engaged to Xavier even before her birth by their family. So she was trained under strict rules and regulations. She wasn't the heir to her family yet she was very important to them as powerful families expanded their business and cooperation through marriage alliance. So her every decision were made my eldes of her family. She was always among top 6 students. She had been training different sports and fighting techniques since her childhood. However she was mostly interested in computer and tennis. No-one till date could surpass her in it. She was rich and powerful but wasn't happy or free. She had to pay for every decision she made by herself. So I guess what she paid to come to my class. I looked at her . I was thankful yet worried for her.

I thought rich people could do anything they wanted but only after I met Emily, I came to know how hard it is to be the children of rich and powerful family. Ofcourse not everyone was same. But everyone has their own story and suffering to tell which they block with an expressionless face or by bulling others.
