As Clay and Josh followed the light pellets guiding them, Khael, who was also following behind, quickly caught up with the two.
However, unsure of what to do or say, Khael simply lagged behind the duo awkwardly.
Sometimes reaching his hands out towards them but abruptly stopping, as if he was hesitant whether to call them out or get their attention.
Clay, having the ridiculous amount of stats he has, quickly noticed Khael.
He had a feeling that Josh also had noticed Khael following behind them, given that Josh was acting more silent than usual.
But seeing that Josh wasn't doing anything, Clay also decided not to say or do anything about Khael.
In the end, the duo continued walking towards their dorm rooms with a third wheel awkwardly trying to approach and get their attention but not fully committing in the end.
A while later and Clay could finally see the trail of lights stopping at the distance,
But what's strange is that Josh and Khael were still tagging along with him.
It was at this point that someone finally broke the silence.
"Uhh, hello, are the lights also leading you guys this way?" Khael finally mustered up the courage to speak.
Before Clay could speak, Josh had already beaten him to it.
"Yeah, at least for me it leads here, up ahead." Josh pointed towards an area that looked suspiciously in the trajectory of Clay's lights.
Having some hope that he and Josh would be roommates, Clay also pointed at where the lights ended for him.
"Mine's over there."
Both Josh and Khael turned towards Clay, surprise visible in their eyes.
Clay, Josh, and Khael looked on with hopeful eyes as the trio got closer to where their respective trails ended for them.
Both the three of them stopped in front of dorm room #M107.
And the three of them locked at each other at almost the same time.
Clay turned to Josh.
"Does your trail end right here?" Clay asked as he stood on a specific spot, the hope in his eyes getting brighter.
"Yeah, you are literally standing on it." Josh replied, a grin slowly forming on his face.
"Mine also ends right here." Khael also confirmed that this was where he was supposed to be.
"This.... This is such a huge coincidence..." Josh muttered in amazement.
"Whatever man, let's just check what our room looks like." Clay nudged Josh forward, eager to check out their room.
Josh opened the door, entering the room with Clay and Khael following after.
"Wow. This room is huge!"
What greeted Clay was a spectacular sight. Their room wasn't as small as he inspected from the outside, no, it was marginally bigger.
The room itself was plain white, at least 4000 cubic meters big, the ceiling was 10 meters high, much more taller than how it looked outside.
'Must be spacial magic again.'
Each side was roughly 20 meters long, more than enough space for 4 teenagers to live in without disturbing each other.
In fact, it was too much space, there weren't even enough furniture to fill everything up, there were only desks, chairs, and beds on each side of the wall, still leaving plenty of room for other miscellaneous things.
Clay also noticed that there were uniforms on top of their beds and that there were doors next to everyone's beds.
The three teenagers gulped at the same time.
"All this.... It's for us right? We're not like, in the wrong room or anything, yeah?" Khael questioned, unsure if they were actually in the right room.
"I sure do hope not, still, it does look too good to be true." Josh also began doubting a little.
This room was waaaaaaay too huge for 4 people to share.
"So, now, I guess everyone should pick a side?" Clay asked the other two to pick which side they wanted to claim.
"I call dibs on the right!" Clay said, immediately dashing towards the area he claimed his.
"Hey, no fair!" Josh reacted a second too late and was now running after Clay.
However his chase was futile as Clay poured out his 1000 Agility points on that dash, making him instantly arrive at the farthest end of the room, leaving Josh flabbergasted.
"How are you so fast!" Josh was shocked at Clay's sudden display of speed, he couldn't even blink before he was already at the other side. How was that even possible?
"I just did a little bit of leveling up." Clay smirked.
"Did you spend all your stat points on Agility?" Josh asked, concerned for Clay, because that would be a very stupid thing to do.
"No, what? Why would I do that." Clay denied, in fact, he hadn't been spending any stat points at all, he still had more than 500 free stat points to distribute in case of emergencies.
"Then how'd even you get so fast, dude?" Josh now was curious at how Clay could've gotten that fast.
"Uhh, I-I just did some quests here and there and leveled up every now and then as well haha..." Clay averted his gaze.
Well technically he did just that. He did complete some quests here and there, he also had leveled up every now and then.
But the rewards he gained from quests were astronomically greater than what other people would gain.
"Huh, alright." Josh quickly lost interest as he began deciding which side of the room to claim as his.
"How about you Khael, which side do you wanna pick?" Josh asked Khael.
"Uhh, if possible I would like to choose this side." Khael answered as he still stayed at the main door's side.
"Hmm, alright, then I'll pick the one opposite you, by the way, I'm Josh, Josh Daskt." Josh introduced himself.
"And he's my best friend, Clay Mapa." Josh pointed his thumb towards Clay.
"Yo, nice meeting you." Clay nodded at Khael.
"I'm Khael, though I think you guys already know, nice meeting you guys as well." Khael scratched the back of his head.
Josh nodded.
Clay turned back to the uniform on his bed, admiring its elegant design.
It looked very luxurious, unlike anything Clay has ever seen before.
The uniform was bright yellow, adorned with golden patterns at the side, and a single breast pocket with a badge attached to it that has the symbol of the Adurep Academy.
The slacks were dark green with bright yellow patterns extending downwards at the sides.
Clay could already imagine himself wearing the uniform, looking like an actual legit student of the elite Adurep Academy.
'I'm definitely putting this on right now.'
