I had another more private question, so I swallowed and gathered the courage to continue. I focused my eyes on Sister Rachel and paused, breathing deeply through my nostrils. She looked me in the eyes, and despite my apprehension, she trusted me. It was a question I'd pondered deeply since meeting her last night. My thoughts of her were often despite only knowing her briefly, but now I was ready to ask, even knowing the risk in doing so. With a firm, unwavering voice, I proceeded to nervously ask my question, "Are the sisters of the Holy State even allowed to have relationships?" I asked nervously.
Sister Rachael kept quiet momentarily as if she considered her response carefully. After a moment, she spoke in a soft, reassuring tone. "The sisters of the Holy State are encouraged to focus on their service to mankind and worship of the Almighty. We as sisters are not allowed to engage in any romantic relationships," she confirmed, her tone of voice suddenly growing cold and firm. "Our sole obligation is to serve the Faith and the people of the Holy State. We do not have the time or the reason to involve ourselves in the pursuit of such worldly joys. Allowing such distractions would hinder our work, and our commitment is to the Church and to the Faith."
Her expression grew more stern, and she slightly shook her head. "We do not choose our path for pleasure or selfish reasons, it is out of a devotion to God and those who seek His blessings." She paused and looked directly into my eyes. "Some sisters do choose to form romantic relationships, but it is not common and they must do so with discretion."
She cleared her throat and returned to speaking in a more ceremonial tone. "The main priority of the Holy Sisterhood is the glory of our Lord. Have you no thoughts of dedicating your life to the Faith?" She sighed deeply before continuing. "However, do not fret, for our Faith is what sustains us. When you live for God and for His people, you do not need earthly pleasures. Instead, you find all the love and joy you could ever need in the arms of the Almighty."
My gaze remained locked on Sister Rachel, unable to look away. At that moment, I was spellbound by her. But it was not just her physical beauty that drew me in. It was something more, something deeper. A connection I couldn't describe, at least not yet. But at a gut level, I knew she was special to me. I felt a strange mixture of joy and apprehension. There was a sense of joy in being in her presence and apprehension at not knowing what she thought about me. As my thoughts raced, I suddenly realized I was staring and looked away, embarrassed.
"Well, I'm going to marry you one day. You and Elara. Maybe even Sister Diane and Sister Faye! That's my goal in life!" I blurted.
I felt my face heat up once more as I realized I had done the same cringe-worthy thing all over again. It felt so surreal. I wanted to bang on my palm and scream. 'I had just blurted that out in front of one of the sisters?' I could feel the embarrassment fill up my entire body as I tried to make peace with the priestess. My mind had just been blown up into tiny little pieces.
Rachel's cheeks burned with embarrassment. She had revealed too much. Too soon. Suddenly realizing she had been staring at me for entirely too long, she looked away. I couldn't deny that Sister Rachael was the cutest girl I had ever met, especially in this little outfit of hers. The way the dress clung to her curves was just... wow. As she raised her eyebrows, they looked like two perfect arcs perched on top of her head, the delicate curves and sharp turns sending some very naughty thoughts in my direction. I tried my best not to stare, focusing on the task at hand, but I couldn't help but notice how her face had turned a bright and vibrant crimson.
I quickly tried to stifle my butterflies, shifting my focus to our conversation. "What's that look for, Sister Rachael? Have I done something to offend you?" I asked, not wanting to jump to conclusions but also not really knowing how else to interpret her flushed cheeks.
The longer she stared, the more I felt my cheeks burning up. But a part of me enjoyed the attention. I liked it when my body turned heads and made mouths drop. So I stood still as his gaze ran over my figure, not daring to budge. Suddenly, Sister Rachael cleared her throat, interrupting our little moment. She raised her eyebrows at me as if in shock. Her expression changed quickly as she turned a bright and vibrant crimson. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt at having caused a nun to blush.
"Oh, sorry," she muttered. "I, uh, well, anyway... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"It's okay," I replied, cutting in, his voice quiet and gentle. "I, um, appreciate your honesty."
Rachel's face turned an even brighter shade of red. "I-I mean-"
"My goodness," Sister Rachael said after a moment of shock, her face turning a bright and vibrant crimson, "I have never seen such lewd desire from such a young man!" she replied, gesturing frantically, unable to look away as her blushing continued.
"Your dress is... quite revealing, Sister Rachel. Your curves, your chest, your legs, all of it so perfectly shaped and molded. I would swear that God himself created you! If harems are allowed amongst the Holy Sisterhood, I would gladly pursue it if only to have a chance to be closer to you, Sister Rachel" I said, ogling over her beauty.
"A harem?" She stuttered, looking both confused and embarrassed. She steadied herself as she realized what I had confessed to her.
Her eyes avert mine and I could see her struggling to suppress the feeling that she was trying so hard to hide. Her soft eyes had turned a fierce scarlet, and she would avert her gaze whenever I looked. I could feel the tension in the air as I tried not to make things even more awkward.
"Did... did I hear you just right?" Sister Rachael asked, raising an eyebrow. "Are... are suggesting I join in on a harem or something?" the buxom nun said; her face was bright red with embarrassment, and the words hung on her tongue.
As I thought more about it, Elara, Diane, and Faye, I couldn't help but feel the heat rising to my face once more. Four beautiful wives who all loved each other was an alluring thought, and I could feel the blood rushing into my cheeks at the thought. I had to admit that I found all four of them to be incredibly attractive, but the idea of marrying all four was too much for me to process. I could picture them all together, the four of us, sharing a bed and making each other happy with our mutual love. The thought of them snuggling up in bed, their soft hair tickling my neck while they whispered sweet nothings in my ear, made my head spin with butterflies. The possibilities were endless. 'Was this what a harem was like? Was it as glorious as it was rumored to be?' Whatever the case, I knew that I desperately wanted a part of it, even if the rumors were nothing more than lies and fantasy.
They would be like goddesses in the flesh, with curves that beckoned the eye and smooth, silk skin calling for tender touches. The thought of having our own family, beautiful children with their features, was enticing too. I could only imagine what our lives would be like together, surrounded by love and warmth. But those were just fantasies, only a figment of my imagination. Suddenly, a thought popped into my head, one I couldn't help but blush at the very notion of. 'What if I married more than just the four of them? Would that be wrong?' I mean, the sisters already love each other. The very thought made my heart race, my cheeks turning red-hot.
It was then that I noticed Rachel staring at me with an alluring smile, her cheeks flushing. She looked away nervously as she cleared her throat. Her eyes then met mine once more, and there she stood, with a look of hunger on her face. I felt the color spread across my face, wondering how things had escalated to this point. I had never been attracted to another woman, but I couldn't deny how enticing Rachel looked at that moment. My eyes were fixed on her, taking in every feature of her feminine form from head to toe.
She continued trying to regain her composure and shook her head, now speaking in a stern but high-pitched tone. "I've never heard of such a thing in the Holy Sisterhood, not officially."
As I glanced over at Sister Rachael, I noticed how red her face had become. 'Was it simply out of embarrassment, or did she also share in my desire?'
"I-I want to marry... You and Elara, first and foremost. I even plan to marry Sister Diane and Sister Faye! My goal in life will be to dedicate my life to the four of you and the Holy State!" I said, trying to sound confident.
Sister Rachael quickly cleared her throat and shook her head as if to brush away the thoughts that had just been spoken. "You are mistaken, merely misguided young Adam." She replied sternly, trying to hide her embarrassment.
She took a deep breath and continued. "The sisters of the Holy Sisterhood follow a path of purity and devotion. Any relationship they form is in service of the Almighty."
She stood up straighter and looked at me with a compassionate look. "We must not allow ourselves to be tempted by the fleeting pleasures of the flesh. To be in a harem... I have never considered such a proposal in my life?"
"Oh, um, I apologize. I don't know what's wrong with me today. I guess I was just excited to see you. I'll try to maintain a more professional relationship from now on," I said, trying my best to salvage the conversation.
"Oh, dear Lord Good Sir, You must learn to calm yourself in such a situation or you risk revealing feelings you'd wish to keep private. However, I have never been approached in that way or even asked such a provocative question in my entire life. Not once have I heard of a request as bold and blazen as this. To ask me or my peers such a question would imply the lot of us could even satiate your carnal desires. Do you really think of me in that way Mr. von Yeager?" Sister Rachael retorted.
As the words passed Sister Rachael's lips, I felt a twinge of regret. I had never meant to offend her, let alone suggest something so improper. But the heat of the moment had gotten the better of me, and I had found myself blurting out my true feelings. Sister Rachel's eyes study myself and I wonder what her thoughts are as our intimate conversation continues.
