Uneri PoV
I glanced back at Gael as he walked off. He looked a bit dejected. It felt as if I had taken something from him by switching places with him.
"Relax, Une," Ore said, patting my back. "Gael will be fine. He's got his family supporting him." His eyes shifted towards Gael as Setsuka hugged him, her arms wrapping around him in a comforting embrace. I could see the tension in Gael's shoulders ease just a bit, and a small smile broke through his earlier frown.
I smiled and brandished my weapon. "Well, let's begin."
Great-grandpa Eijiro scoffed and nodded. "About time. Consider this a reprieve for you, Ore."
Orlin grumbled as he stretched. "Thanks, but you might regret that."
Eijiro chuckled. "Why would I? Even if were to end up tasting dirt, at least I can be proud of you great-grandson for having defeated me. Albeit, not a full powered me."
"Don't underestimate me," I said, raising my scimitar in front of me. "I've grown from that kid who would run off and hide."
