After staring daggers at them, he turned and started walking away. Dickson followed suit.
Once they were out of sight, Alex gasped for air and collapsed to the floor, Candy was beside him_ he glared at her, while Candy avoided his gaze, biting her lips nervously.
"Have you seen what you've caused? You can't even control your tongue! Haven't you heard about Raymond Monster?" Alex demanded, and Candy frowned.
"I never knew you hated me this much… How can you send me to someone as dangerous as that man? Imagine… his name is 'Monster' and he's actually one father!" She lamented, nearly in tears.
"I'm doing this for both of us. If I don't pay him his money_we're both done. And I know fully well he won't spare you_ Candy Pull yourself together and apologize to him the day he returns—because you're going to live with him whether you like it or not." Alex's voice was sharp as he stood.
"But… father—"
"There are no ifs or buts about this,I've made my final decision,Don't even think of doing anything stupid" Alex warned, turning his back and walking away.
"Father Wait!" Candy called after him but Alex didn't even glance back.
"Oh no… I'd rather die than apologize and live with that monster!" She ruffled her hair and sank onto a cushion, thinking frantically.
"How could Father do this to me? He always calls me his precious daughter… but now he's about to sell me off? Mother where are you?" Tears ran uncontrollably down her cheeks.
Her mother had passed away, leaving her father as her only guardian. She never imagined he would one day wake her up to sell her like this.
"What will happen to my dreams? What will become of me? No… I can't let this happen. I must find a way out" Determined, she ran to her room, locked the door and sank into her bed.
Meanwhile in Raymond's empire—a vast one—He returned home with Dickson.
"Who is the leader of the Eagle Clan?" he asked as he strode into his office and sank into his chair.
"Dragon," Dickson replied.
"That bastard… like he wants to bring his empire down How dare him meddle in Wolf's clan business?" He clenched his fist and opened a drawer, took out a lollipop, unserted it and scooped it into his mouth .That's Raymond he doesn't smoke,all he does is suck on lollipops, chew gum and drink tequila. He never jokes with his bubble gum especially.
"I heard he wants to make a deal with you, which is why he tampered with your goods to get your attention" Dickson informed him.
Raymond's eyes flicked up, Dickson just stood expressionless.
"Why is everyone trying to make a deal with me? Am I soft lately?" Raymond asked and thought of Candy and her father.
"What did that girl say again…? How dare she!" He slammed his fist on the desk. Dickson didn't flinch.
"Have you kept tabs on Alexander and his daughter?" he asked.
"Yes, boss," Dickson nodded.
"Put me through to Dragon. Let's hear what he has to say." He leaned back into his chair, lollipop in mouth "Also… tell Jose and Julie to prepare something for me to eat."
Dickson bowed and left.

"Give me that frying pan Jose!" Julie barked, tugging the pan from a resistant Jose. They were the cat-and-dog chefs of Raymond's household—constantly at each other's throats, but still capable of gossiping relentlessly.
"I'm the one cooking for the boss today Julie and you're meant to assist me," Jose grumbled, dragging her along.
"Never! Let's ask Dickson who the boss actually ordered to cook" Julie shot back dragging herself toward the door with the pan.
"Nooo!" Jose shouted and in the struggle, the pan flew out off their hands—landing squarely on someone's forehead.
Gasps filled the kitchen as eyes fell on the person.
"I'm sorry Dickson" they both apologised heads bowed, Dickson simply rubbed his head, glaredwalking but paused halfway out.
"If I return and the boss's food isn't ready… I will cook you both instead," he threatened. They sighed in relief and rushed to the counter, cooking—though gossiping never stopped.
"Julie," Jose called.
"Hmm?" she replied.
"I heard Stone is… with Rose" Jose whispered.
Julie rolled her eyes "Not true,Rose likes Stone, but because he's a stone—his heart is filled with rocks" she joked, and they both laughed.
"And Risky likes Diana, but she doesn't like him…" Julie continued More laughter erupted between them.
"What about us? Why can't I have a taste of you? I've got a very real big…," Jose winked.
Julie bonked him with a spoon
"Ouch!"
" You're not my type,I like Dickson"She rolled her eyes
"I heard Dickson doesn't… have a dick? He isn't into women" Jose said.
Before Julie could reply, the door flung open. Risky entered and they instantly froze.
"You both called Dickson Hay… I heard everything" he said leaning on the counter.
Julie whispered"The lousy mouth actually heard us"
Jose groaned "We're doomed"
"I will keep mute under one Condition" Risky said and smirked.
Julie and Jose exchanged suspicions glances"What?"
"When you're done preparing the boss's meal… you'll make mine too" They groaned in frustration.
