And remember to vote for which fanfic you'd like me to make in the last chapter! I'll decide after this week is over!

Anyway, thank you to all you loyal readers who have waited for my return. Enjoy the new chapter! More to come soon!

"Helga, run!" Astrid yelled as she grabbed her axe and jumped to her feet.

Toothless leapt into action and immediately began to charge her. He would have killed her if I hadn't stopped him.

"Toothless, no!" Snatching Astrid's axe, I tossed it to the ground. "It's ok, I'm ok. She's a friend. See? I'm not hurt."

Toothless continued to growl at Astrid while she recoiled at every motion he made towards her.

"Helga, what is… this?" Astrid questioned, her finger pointing as her eyes remained fixated on Toothless.

"My way of finding Kaarik." I firmly stated.

Now back at the village, I began packing.

"You can't seriously be thinking about doing this alone?" Astrid said as I gathered supplies for my journey.

"Yes, I am. Are you planning on stopping me?" I said, glaring at her.

"No, I'm coming with you." She sighed.

I raised my eyebrows slightly, conveying a bit of surprise at her sudden proposal.

"What? I don't want you getting yourself killed." She scoffed before she sauntered off to gather supplies as well.

Third Person POV

"Helga?" Astrid asked as they flew in silence.

"What is it, Astrid?" She replied.

"Do you even know where we're going?"

Ever since they'd left Berk, they had been flying straight in one direction for hours. Astrid took the liberty of leaving notes for both their parents, as Helga was too busy packing even to care.

For a few moments, Helga remained silent before responding to her question. "No, but I remember where the storm was last heading."

Astrid only sighed, looking out towards the open ocean.

"I don't think I'll ever get over how amazing this is." She said aloud.

"Agreed."

With nothing else to say, they continued to fly in silence.

The day gave way to night as the two girls continued flying on the back of Toothless. No words had been spoken between the two for most of the journey. It wasn't until a dense fog shrouded them that they said something.

"I don't like this fog, Helga." Astrid grunted.

"Neither do I." She agreed as she tightened her grip on Toothless' saddle.

The next thing both of them knew, Toothless dove down, forcing them deeper into the fog.

"Toothless?!" Helga grunts, only to quiet down upon seeing her dragon's ears twitching while he looks around frantically.

"What's wrong with him?"

"I don't know, it's like he's hearing something that we don't. And it's luring him in, just like these other dragons."

"What? How is that even—"

"Shh, Astrid. Do you hear that?" Helga interrupted.

The two listened in silence, not hearing a thing until the sounds of wing flapping and dragons growling were heard. Then the dragons began appearing one by one. They flew all around them, clutching different animals and sea life.

Trying not to gain the attention of the hundreds of dragons surrounding them, Helga and Astrid lowered their bodies closer to Toothless as if they were trying to merge with the dragon.

"What is happening?!" Astrid shouted in a whisper.

"I don't know!" Helga whispered back as they continued to fly in the crowd of beasts.

"We need to get out of here."

"Working on it. Toothless." Helga tried to guide Toothless, motioning him to head away from the frenzy of dragons, only for him to jerk her control away.

Toothless continued to fly with the dragons. They flew through sea stacks and jagged rocks until eventually they arrived at a large volcanic island.

Flying through a gap formed in the volcano, the two teens spotted all sorts of dragon nests, each belonging to a different species of dragon.

"What my dad wouldn't give to find this…" Helga grumbled as she scoured the inside of the volcano.

Helga motioned for Toothless to land on a pillar out of sight of the rest of the dragons and just big enough to fit his size before watching as every dragon with a dead animal dropped it down the center of the volcano.

"Nice to see all our food being wasted by being dumped into a giant pit of lava." Astrid scoffed sarcastically.

"Wait, did you see that?" Helga said, pointing at something moving beneath the molten liquid.

"What do you see?"

"I don't know, but it was something big."

After all the animals were dumped into the lava, there was only one dragon that remained that had yet to drop any food, a lone Gronckle. It flew wobbly, as if its wings didn't work. It looked as if it didn't even know where it was.

Then it began to gag before it spat up the smallest fish into the lava. It was then that a deep rumbling growl reverberated throughout the entire nest. The Gronckle snapped back into reality, the dragon's face registering panic before it attempted to flee.

Unfortunately for the dragon, it was not quick. A dragon bigger than anything Astrid or Helga had seen before burst from the lava. The Gronckle never had a chance. The behemoth dragon opened its jaw, and the next moment. Gone, swallowed whole by the titan.

"We need to leave. Now!" Helga shouted to Toothless, quickly instructing the dragon to fly up.

Spotting them attempting to fly away, the dragon launched its head towards them. Narrowly missing them, they begin to ascend towards the top of the volcano. It was then that chaos ensued in the dragon nest.

Every dragon scurried to escape becoming the titan's next meal as they all began to rise toward the volcano's opening. As they did, the beast took its chance to snatch dragons out of the air to become its nourishment.

"That thing's controlling them! How is it possible that a dragon like that exists?" Astrid shouted, deeply unsettled at what they had just witnessed.

"I don't know, Astrid, but the real question is, how do we get rid of it?" Helga replied.

"Are you crazy?!" Astrid yelled. "We just saw that thing control an army of dragons, not to mention the fact that the dragon itself was huge!"

"I know, but you saw it too, right? If it could fully control dragons, why was Toothless fully controlled?" She said, causing Astrid to pause for a long while.

"So what if you're right? What are we supposed to do about it? We're hours away from Berk, and we still have yet to find any clue about where Kaarik is." She said.

"I'll just tell my father. The quicker we get rid of this thing, the sooner the dragon raids stop and the sooner we can send out search parties to look for Kaarik with us."

"You're crazy, you know that, right?"

"So I've been told. Alright, Toothless, to Berk."
