Ok, so I didn't post a chapter yesterday. I was busy, so I made this chapter twice as long. Enjoy!

After spending a few more hours flying back to Berk, Helga and Astrid landed in the cove where they dismounted Toothless.
"Are you seriously planning on telling your dad about all this?" Astrid asked in a slightly worried tone. "You know how much he hates dragons."
"I know that, but I also can't risk him finding the nest and getting himself and the entire village killed. That boreheaded man doesn't know danger when it's staring him in the face." She responded as he began climbing out of the cove.
Astrid only sighed before following after her.

Helga's POV
I decided I'd tell my dad about the nest in the morning. After getting some sleep from last night's venture, I started to feel a little nervous to confront him about it. I know how my father is. I highly doubt he'd even try to listen to reason. Walking downstairs, I see my dad making food before placing it on the table.
"Dad, there's something that I need to tell you." I began, but he interrupted.
"You can tell me after you eat! You've got a big day today, killing your first dragon and all! Haha!" he laughed as he pushed me toward the table.
"Yeah, that's great and all, Dad, but I really need to-"
"I've got to prepare the arena and dragon for you this morning. Everyone in the village is going to be there to watch you spill dragon's blood for the first time. I can already see it." He laughed more before walking towards the door.
"Dad!" I tried shouting to get his attention. "I really-" He was already out the door before I could say more.
Growling in frustration, I sat down at the table before eating the food in front of me. I'd just have to try again later. Maybe after dealing with the dragon, I can talk to him.

"Helga! Helga! Helga!" The crowd of people chanted my name, and honestly, it was invigorating to see.
They continued chanting, only to quiet down once my father stood up from his chair to make a speech.
"First things first, I want to congratulate my daughter on placing first in training. Ever since her mothers… passing at the hands of the dragons, I tried to protect her with everything I had. I never wanted her to fight dragons. I wanted to protect her, but she's proven me wrong." He said, pausing as he looked around the crowd of people.
It was unusual to have the village so quiet, and to hear my dad talk about my mother. I wasn't used to it. Snapping out of my thoughts, I hear my dad continuing.
"She's come so far in these short weeks of training. And not only as a chief, but as a father, I couldn't be more proud to have anyone but her as my daughter." He finished, causing the crowd to erupt in cheers once more.
Lifting his hand in the air, the people quieted once more.
"Having said all that, today is my daughter's day. Today, she becomes what she was always meant to be. Today, she becomes one of us! A Viking!" He roared as the crowd's cheers vibrated the entire arena.
With sword and shield in hand, I began to enter the arena. I walked toward Gobber, who was waiting at the gate, stopping beside him as he lifted it.
"Give'em hell." He told me before shutting the gate behind me.
Walking out, the crowd grew louder, applauding my arrival as I stepped into the center of the arena.
"I'm ready."
The crowd grew quieter as the gates to the cage that held the Monstrous Nightmare began to lift. As soon as the mechanism lifting the gates was up, the dragon burst through, its body covered head to toe in flames.
It crawled all over the arena, spewing flames in random directions, almost hitting a few bystanders before it finally spotted me.
Looking a bit closer, I realised it was the same Monstrous Nightmare that attacked me and Kaarik the night I shot down Toothless.
"Well, well, well. Isn't this a surprise? Remember me?" I asked, gripping my sword tighter.
The dragon growled before lunging at me. Quickly rolling to the side, I let the dragon rush past me as I stab my sword towards its side. Roaring in pain, it quickly whips its body around using its tail to smack me away.
Barely blocking the attack, I get up only to see the dragon rushing at me once again. I dodge its attack once again before quickly raising my shield to block a stream of fire from its mouth.
The game of cat and mouse goes on for a while. I land a few good hits only to get smacked away. I was exhausted, and I could see the dragon was starting to get tired of me getting away each time.
"I'm done." I said, throwing away my sword and shield. Seeing my actions, the dragon slowly began to approach me.
"What are you doing?" I heard my dad's question, but decided to ignore it.
Murmuring in the crowd grew as they watched me try to communicate with the dragon.
"I know, I know. I hurt you, but it doesn't have to be that way." The dragon stared at me in suspicion as it crept closer to me
Seeing this, my dad rose from his chair.
"Stop the fight."
"No! You all need to see this. There's something out there, Something that's unlike we've ever seen. These dragons… they're not like what we think they are." I said, stretching my hand toward the Monstrous Nightmare.
"I said, stop the fight!" Hearing my dad's furious roar, I turned to see him angrily slamming his hammer on the metal dome of the arena.
The sudden loud noise caused the dragon to snap out of the calm state it was in and to go on the attack again. Rearing its head, it roared at me before firing a blast of fire.
"Shit!" I yelled, scurrying away from the dragon as it began blasting more fire at me.
I tried running toward my shield, but the Monstrous Nightmare was faster.
"Toothless!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
Just as the dragon was closing in on me, a hammer flew by my head, striking the dragon in the snout.
"Hurry, Helga!" Dad yelled from the opening of the gate.
Immediately, I begin racing toward the gate, only for a blast of fire to be shot in front of me, cutting my exit off. Just as I dodged, the dragon took the opportunity to pounce on me.
Trapped beneath its foot, I had nowhere to go.
"Helga!" My dad yelled as he desperately rushed toward me.
Death was imminent, but before the dragon or anyone could do anything, a loud screech was heard, and the next thing everyone saw was a black dragon diving toward the arena's dome.
"Night Fury!" The crowd screamed right before Toothless blew a hole into the dome and attacked the Montrous Nightmare.
Smoke obscured everyone's view as the two dragons battled one another. Being the one in the midst of their fight, I saw the two clawing and biting at each other. Slapping the Monstrous Nightmare away, Toothless kept the dragon away from me, roaring until it finally backed down.
"Thanks, Toothless. Now come on, let's get you outta here." Before I could mount him, a hand grabbed me away, flinging me back.
It was my dad.
He tried to attack Toothless, only for him to get pounced on. Toothless stood on top of him, pinning him to the ground.
"Toothless, stop!" I yelled as Toothless began charging a plasma blast. "Stop! I SAID NO!" I screamed, finally getting him to back off before he turned toward her in confusion.
"Get him!" One Viking yelled as the rest followed suit, tackling Toothless and pinning him to the ground.
"Put it with the others." My dad said, getting up from the ground, and shaking himself off, as he stared at the dragon in anger.

Third Person POV
Now, in the Great Hall, Stoick tosses Helga inside before walking past her.
"How could you do this, Helga? After everything?"
"I don't understand."
"We had a deal!"
"I know we did. But that was before Kaarik disappeared! After I shot down Toothless and couldn't kill him!" Helga retorted as she followed behind him.
Stopping abruptly, he turned around before bombarding her with questions.
"So, all those times you vanished for hours at a time? You were, what? Spending time with your pet dragon?!" He yelled.
"Toothless is more than just a pet to me, Dad. He's the only way I can find Kaarik!" Helga yelled in return.
"Helga, I told you! We can't search for him right now! I sent search parties out, and yet none could find him. He could be dead for all we know!" He shouted.
"You don't know that! Toothless can help me find him!" Helga screamed.
"The dragon? What about the people you almost killed?!"
"What about the people you've killed?!" She shouted before realizing what she'd said.
"What did you say?"
"How many ships are you going to send out to find the dragon's nest, Dad? How many more of our people will have to die until you're satisfied?"
"Helga, they've killed hundreds of us!"
"That may be, but you can't beat the thing on their island."
"Their island?! So you've been to the nest?" Stoick asked as he got closer to his daughter.
"Yes." Helga said firmly.
"Where is it?" He demanded with an impatient tone.
"Only a dragon can find the island. But-" Helga tried to speak more, but Stoick tuned her out.
Realization spread across his face as he began walking toward the door. Realizing what her father was about to do, Helga desperately tried to stop him.
"Dad, no! You don't know what you're up against! We need more time! Damn it, for once in your life, would you please just listen to me!" She shouted as she tried to grab his arm.
Shoving her off him, Stoick turned toward her as he replied to her in a solemn tone. "You've thrown your lot in with them. You're not a Viking. You're not…" The word caught in his throat before he finally let it out. "You're not my daughter."
Helga stood there as she watched him leave. Anger, fear, and sadness all welling up inside her, and yet she could do nothing as she watched him go.
"Ready the ships!" Stoick yelled, slamming the door as he exited the Great Hall.
Staggered back, Stoick took a deep breath, realizing the decision that he had just made and the words that he now had to live with. Shaking his head, he continued moving away from the Great Hall and toward the docks.
