"What do we have here?" Ryker whispered, his eyes locked onto Vorgath's transformed form. "Vorgath's transformation... it's no joke. This might be a problem." Ryker's senses were on high alert as he clashed swords with Vorgath.
THWACK!! The sound of steel on steel echoed through the air, and Ryker's instincts screamed at him to beware. Vorgath's attacks were relentless, his speed and agility unmatched. Ryker parried and dodged the Vorgath's blows, his mind racing with strategies.
"Chi resonance," Ryker whispered to himself. "I need to tune into his frequency." But Ryker's mind was elsewhere, his thoughts consumed by the situation. "Vorgath's a Sukuna," Ryker whispered. "That amount of power... He's no ordinary Sukuna."
As Ryker fought, he analyzed Vorgath's movements, searching for any weakness in Vorgath's defenses. "But how far can he go?" Ryker wondered.
BAM!! SHRRKK!! Vorgath's attacks rained down on Ryker, each one more powerful than the last. Ryker defended himself, his movements fluid and precise. But despite his best efforts, Ryker found himself on the back foot, Vorgath's relentless assault pushing him to the limit.
Meanwhile, Meili was busy finding a way to stop the hybrids from regenerating. "Come on, Sifu," she whispered, "I have to deal with these things quickly!" She tried reaching out to Wraithbane for assistance, but his response was infuriating. "You call me out to help you like we're buddies. I want you to surrender your body and soul to me and I'll do all of the work for you." Meili's face twisted in anger as she denied Wraithbane's demand. Wraithbane's silence was deafening, and Meili knew she was on her own.
As Ryker fought on, he noticed something peculiar. Vorgath's attacks seemed to be... pulsating. Like his energy was fluctuating, ebbing and flowing like the tide. Ryker's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. "Lunar Pulse," Ryker whispered.
Vorgath had the upper hand, his power and speed unmatched. Ryker knew he had to be careful, or he would find himself on the losing end of this battle.
Vorgath's taunting words cut through the air, his voice dripping with disdain. "Is that all you've got, Ryker? I thought you were supposed to be one of the best warriors. This is... underwhelming. Seems Hibiki was all talk."
Ryker's face remained impassive, but his eyes narrowed slightly as he continued to defend himself against Vorgath's attacks. "Lunar Pulse," Ryker whispered to himself, "with his intense chi projection, he has the ability to create shockwaves and repel attacks, making it difficult to land a hit."
Vorgath chuckled, his laughter like a growl. "You are as bad as I thought you were, Ryker? Quit dodging and fight back." He spat the word, his tone dripping with contempt.
Ryker's grip on his sword tightened, his mind still racing with strategies. "You're not gonna use your Eightfold Echo," Vorgath sneered. "I'm starting to think you're not as confident as I thought. That's a bad sign for a Sifu, especially in front of your students...Ha ha"
Ryker's eyes flashed with anger, but he remained silent, his focus on the battle unwavering. He knew that Vorgath was trying to provoke him, and he wouldn't give him the satisfaction.
"What?? Even the eightfold!! Damn you, Hibiki. You just don't keep your mouth shut. Seems my stupid rival has gone and spilled out every one of my options to you. Which is why you think you got the upper hand in this battle," Ryker said, an annoyed look on his face.
He continued, his voice laced with confidence, "...But don't get the wrong idea, in this battle... You're still no match for me. Hibiki just knows how strong I am compared to you, which is why he spilled out all my beans to make it more of a challenge for me. He's a rival of mine... plus an idiot."
Vorgath paused for a moment, then laughed loudly, like he wasn't buying the bravado. "Where did this come from... You've done nothing but chicken out from my attacks so far, or you've got some other trump card that I might not know right... Then show me," he said, his voice defiant.
Ryker smiled, a hint of mischief in his eyes. "Don't mind if I do," he said, making a quick hand sign. "Bujutsu - Eightfold Echo..."
The Eightfold Echo was a movement technique born from Ryker's mastery of chi circulation, allowing him to momentarily distort his opponent's perception of time and distance, appearing to strike from multiple directions simultaneously.
Ryker's body began to glow with visible chi as he charged forward towards Vorgath. They clashed, swords meeting in a blur of steel and fury. But this time, Ryker wasn't just dodging – he was landing hits. Vorgath was taken aback by the sudden outburst, but his superior speed and strength allowed him to counterattack with devastating force.
"Alright, it's time I took over... First Resonance.." Ryker said, his voice low and even.
As he activated his First Resonance, Ryker's chi flow aligned to a perfect rhythm, making his physical state stable, his reflexes heightened, and his strikes unnervingly precise. In this state, he could sense nearby energy pulses – including people hiding their presence or channeling energy for an attack.
It was like he could predict Vorgath's next move. Ryker's dark red eyes anticipated every swing, every dodge, and every counterattack. He moved with a fluid precision, his sword flashing in the sunlight as he parried and ripped with deadly accuracy.
Vorgath's eyes widened as he realized he was being outmaneuvered. His attacks seemed to be landing on empty air, while Ryker's strikes found their mark with unnerving regularity. BAM!! SSSHRKK!!
RRGHH!! The werewolf's growls grew louder, his frustration and anger mounting as he struggled to keep up with Ryker's accelerated pace.
"Grrraaah! Stop... dancing around me!" Vorgath roared, his voice like thunder. "You think you can keep this up? I'll show you what real power looks like!"
Vorgath showed no signs of backing down. He kept lunging at Ryker, his claws swiping through the air with reckless abandon. Ryker was impressed by Vorgath's tenacity, but he knew he couldn't keep this up for much longer. He was losing chi energy rapidly, and he needed to end the battle soon.
"Time to settle this," Ryker muttered to himself. He upped his sword strike, the blade flashing with increased intensity as he launched a devastating combination of attacks.
"Die... DIE!" Vorgath screamed, his eyes blazing with fury. But Ryker's strikes were relentless, each one landing with precision and accuracy. Vorgath stumbled back, his defenses crumbling under the onslaught.
Meili's eyes darted across the battlefield, her focus on the hybrids swarming around her. She was holding her own, but it was getting tiring. Every time she took one down, another would take its place. She was starting to feel like she was just holding on, rather than making progress.
"Come on, come on... where's your weakness?" she muttered to herself, dodging a hybrid's clawk swipe.
As she fought, her gaze flicked to Ryker and Vorgath. A sign of comfort crossed her face as she saw Ryker demolishing Vorgath. "He's going to be fine," she thought to herself. "He's going to win this."
But her relief was short-lived. Her focus snapped back to the hybrids, and she redoubled her efforts. "I've been too slow," she thought. "I need to find a way to take these things down faster."
She glanced over at Kai and Haruto, who were fighting back-to-back, taking down hybrid after hybrid. And then she saw it - the remains of the hybrids they had already killed. There were so many of them, and they were all... dead.
"Wait... how are they doing that?" Meili thought, her eyes widening in surprise. She had been struggling to take down a single hybrid, and Kai and Haruto were destroying them with ease.
"Haruto, Kai... how are you guys doing it?" she called out, her voice carrying across the battlefield.
Haruto glanced over, a fierce grin on his face. "It's all about the head shots, Meili! At least for some. Destroy their central nervous system, and they're done for! But be careful, the funny part about it is that... the brain and the rest of it moves round the body, so concentrate."
Meili's eyes narrowed. She had been focusing on dismembering the hybrids, trying to slow them down. But Haruto was right - if she could destroy their central nervous system, she could take them down with a single blow. But the worry was, how to locate it since it moved around the body.
"Uh, cmon," she muttered, her mind racing.
Fuse, who had been fighting alongside them, nodded, ready to destroy the hybrids. Kai, meanwhile, appeared in front of Meili, ready to slaughter another hybrid.
Meili and Kai exchanged a fierce glance, their eyes locking in a moment of mutual understanding. They were both thinking the same thing - it was time to take these hybrids down.
With a shared determination, they sprang into action, their movements a blur as they slaughtered the hybrids with precision and speed. Haruto, who had been watching them, raised an eyebrow, wondering what had sparked their sudden intensity.
"Whoa, what was that about?" he muttered to himself, but he didn't let it distract him from the task at hand.
Meanwhile, Ryker had finally managed to take down Vorgath, his chi energy depleted from the intense battle. As the werewolf collapsed to the ground, Ryker stood over him, his chest heaving with exhaustion.
"Uhh, you put up a good fight for an old smelly wolf," Ryker said, his voice laced with a hint of respect. "I had to expend a lot of my energy on you, but I'm saving up for your boss. Now tell me, where can I find my comrades?"
Vorgath's laughter was like a crack of thunder, sending a shiver down Ryker's spine. "What impressive power, Ryker!! I love it... LET'S FIGHT SOME MORE."
"FEHRNATH'S DOMINION!" Vorgath roared, his voice like thunder.
BOOOM!!! A deafening explosion erupted from Vorgath's body, sending shockwaves rippling across the battlefield. Ryker stumbled back, his footing unsure as the ground trembled beneath him. The others were sent flying, their bodies tossed about like ragdolls.
The hybrids, already battered and bruised, were no match for the sheer force of the explosion. They were incinerated, reduced to nothing but smoky remnants.
As the dust settled, Vorgath's form began to transform. His fur turned a deep, foreboding black, and his aura flared crimson, like a fiery hell. His eyes glowed with an unnatural light, and his humanity faded, replaced by a feral, beastly intensity.
"Fenrath's Dominion?" Meili whispered, her voice trembling with fear. "He's now a different kind of beast."
In this ultimate form, Vorgath was a force to be reckoned with. He could absorb chi from fallen warriors, ally or foe, to extend his rampage. His howl could distort chi resonance fields, causing weaker warriors to lose synchronization with their energy flow.
The air was heavy with the stench of smoke and ozone, and Vorgath's presence seemed to grow, filling the space around him with an unspeakable power. Ryker's eyes locked onto the werewolf, his senses on high alert again.
Before Ryker could even process what was happening, Vorgath struck, his kick landing with lightning speed THACK!! Sending Ryker flying across the area. Meili's eyes widened in shock as she watched Ryker soar through the air, her mind struggling to keep up with the sudden turn of events.
Kai's instincts kicked in, and he took a step forward, ready to take on Vorgath. But Haruto was quick to react, grabbing his arm and holding him back. Kai's face twisted in annoyance, but Haruto's grip was firm.
"No, Kai, wait!" Haruto shouted, his voice urgent.
But it was too late. Vorgath was already gone, vanishing into thin air. Haruto's eyes scanned the surroundings, his senses on high alert, but it was no use. Vorgath reappeared beside him, his fist flying towards Haruto's face, CRACK!!
Haruto was sent flying, his body hurtling across the field like a ragdoll. Kai's eyes widened in shock, and he quickly took several steps back, creating a safe distance between himself and Vorgath.
Meili, Fuse, and the others were in a state of panic, their faces pale with fear. Meili felt like she was frozen to the floor, her legs refusing to move as Vorgath's crimson eyes seemed to bore into her soul.
"What's... what's happening?" she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Ha ha ha," Vorgath's laughter echoed through the battlefield, his voice like a cold wind on a winter's night.
