Chapter 396 - 19

The Rise Of a New Hero

The morning came quickly after the sleepover for Itsuka as she woke up and stretched her arms, though she did hear a little mumbling coming from beside her. when she looked, she saw Tetsu laying with his head on the ground causing the girl to frown as she grabbed his head and put it on his pillow, 'Good. I don't want him to have any type of neck pain. They're uncomfortable.'

The girl looked around and saw that a couple of her classmates have changed positions, particularly the ones with their bodies sensitive to heat and cold. She noticed that some of the girls in her classmate were now hugging some of the boys as they tried to avoid the wrath of the air conditioning that Momo put on full blast and forgot to turn the temperature down.

A shivering voice attracted her attention. She looked and saw Tsuyu from 1-A who said, "C-Could p-please t-turn d-down a little b-b-bit. I'm k-kinda freezing over here, r-ribbit." Kendo nodded her head quickly as she went and toned down the temperature that was affecting a couple of the students.

When she looked back, she noticed that Tsuyu was breathing easier. She looked at her and said, "Thank you for helping me. I don't think I could have lasted any longer or I might have gone into hibernation." The girl came out from under the blankets which also contained someone named Tokoyami, if she remembered correctly, who seemed still asleep.

Tsuyu had a blush on her face, "When the temperature got really cold, I kinda asked Tokoyami if I can sleep with him, and he accepted. I hope he doesn't see me as a pervert."

Itsuka smiled, "If he does see you as a pervert, he should also do the same with the others." She pointed to 3 of her classmates who were hugging boys while they slept together due to them having cold blood or being rather sensitive to cold weather. "Don't worry, Asui. I'm sure that he'll understand what happened."

The girl looked at her blankly, "Thank you," she went silent for a moment and added, "Call me, Tsu." Kendo blinked but nodded her head anyway seeing no harm in the request.

Suddenly, they heard an embarrassed squeak. They turned around and saw Momo with a very red face. The rich girl bowed to Asui, "I'm heard what happened, and I'm so sorry that I didn't take your biology into consideration, Tsuyu." The frog girl waved her off telling her that it was okay.

The rich girl then turned around to see Itsuka, "Good morning, Kendo. I hope you had a really happy time yesterday during the slumber party." The girl had a bouncy and happy aurora engulfing, causing the orange-haired girl to think, 'Momo is seriously one of the bubbliest people I ever encountered. And I don't that I'll ever come across someone like her again.' She then remembered Izuku when he started talking about heroes, 'Okay, maybe there is one more of her.'

Itsuka then heard a gasp that seemed like someone was about to die from embarrassment. She looked around her and saw Kinoko slowly moving away from Shihai who she 'bunked' with when the weather got too cold for her liking.

She looked at the others and said, "Not a word to Setsuna, or she might ruin my life."

Momo looked at her with an apologetic look as she pointed in a random direction, "Oh, sweetie, I think that you shouldn't worry too much about Setsuna, but these two." The mushroom girl gulped as she wondered what could be worse than Tokage and her gossip.

She turned and saw Mina and Toru bouncing happily as the latter held her phone while taking pictures of the various students who they thought would make good couples, though Toru seemed a little bit happier than Mina as she pointed at something.

Intrigued, the four girls turned around, and Kinoko's face was now adorned with a huge grin.

In the corner of the room, Izuku was sleeping, but he wasn't alone. From under the covers that he was using, another mop of green hair was flopping out. Setsuna was sleeping happily on his chest as he wrapped an arm around her. the girl was so deep in sleep that she was making lizard vocalizations.

Kinoko asked Momo, "Is this her way of sleep-talking?" the rich girl was thrown on a loop as she simply shrugged. She knew that Tokage had a minor mutation, but was it that extreme?

Kinoko, not wanting to miss a chance to get blackmail material on the lizard girl, picked up her phone and took photos as Itsuka said, "Right, I'm not sure if Tokage is the one we should be worried about regarding our relationships."

Kinoko shook her head, "I'm hurt, Itsuka. I'm only doing this to have some ammo against her in case she tried to try and tease me." Kendo blinked as she pulled out her phone and started to take pictures herself to have some ammo for herself since the lizard girl was on her and Tetsu's case lately, especially after the sports festival.

Momo looked and sweat-dropped as she said, "Is that really necess…" she heard the sound of a flash and looked to see Tsu taking pictures of her own, so she had to ask her, "Now, I can understand her classmates, but you, Tsu? What's your excuse?"

The frog girl shrugged, "insurance. Shippers are like a disease. I have to be ready for everything." Momo's sweat-drop intensified as she thought, 'If they took hero training this seriously, they'd be at the top of the class.'

Meanwhile, Izuku was beginning to wake up, though he couldn't help but feel a strange weight over his chest. The boy looked down, and his face looked quickly turned scarlet when he saw Setsuna sleeping on him peacefully. He knew that he was now in an awkward situation.

'What to do? Setchan is sleeping on me. Damn it, I knew that I should have lowered the A.C. yesterday before we slept, but we were far away from each other. Did she seek me out?' the boy's face turned red at the idea that a girl sought him to cuddle with him, 'I need to find a way to make her up or at least move, so others won't get the wrong idea.' He felt flashes as he looked and saw Itsuka, Kinoko, and the frog girl from 1-A taking pictures, 'Alright, so much for that plan. I guess I'm going to be the talk of the school.'

He looked down and saw how happy the girl seemed as she let out some lizard vocalizations making him wonder, 'Hmm… I wonder if she has a lizard mutation or at least something that isn't obvious, but I have to admit that those sounds are kinda cute… wha… no, no need to deny it, they are cute. Might as well get some sleep.' The boy said before closing his eyes and relaxing.

It took another half an hour till the others woke up. That's when Setsuna woke up to see an embarrassed Shiozaki apologizing to Awase for invading his privacy to which the boy told her that it was no problem and that it was nothing.

She couldn't but feel something strong under her and something strong around her waist. She looked up and saw Izuku sleeping peacefully. She calmly tried to remove herself from him, so she doesn't have to wake him up, but all her attempts went down the drain when the boy opened his eyes and looked at her. Both went red as they both jumped away from each other.

Izuku said, "I'm sorry about that. I feel that I invaded your privacy."

Setsuna chuckled, "No need to worry, Izuchan. I mean no harm was done and there's no need for you to apologize, but I have to admit that you do have a solid body under those loose clothes." The girl laughed a little when he blushed.

Momo entered the room with breakfast a while later. The rich girl said, "I hope you all like the breakfast." The teens dug into the food as they all began to shovel food down their throats as they cried out that they never tasted an egg that tasted so good.

Momo herself was smiling at her friends, "Oh, that's because it was brought from France, it was made inside a farm…" The girl carried on explaining where the eggs were from as the students had one thought, 'It's like she's slapping us in the face that she was born in a richer family than us, but doesn't know it.'

Outside the room, Momo's parents were happily watching their daughter interact with her friends her age, but her father couldn't help, but sweat-drop when the girl began to talk about their wealth, 'Note to self: tell my princess to stop doing that. she means good, but causally slapping people in the face that you're richer than them isn't good for their health or relationships in general.'

After breakfast was finished, students began to collect their stuff to leave, but Izuku needed to ask Mina to help him train. So he walked up to her and gathered enough courage to ask her, "Could you help me train?"

The girl blinked as she registered the request. She then gained a teasing smile, "Of course, but what kind of training do you have in mind, Midori?" the boy blushed at her statement.

"Dancing, I heard that you said that your dancing routine helps you stay limber, so I thought you could help me since I could use that flexibility since my moves are kinda clunky when I use them." The boy felt his soul leave his body as her smile grew even further.

The girl then put her hand out, "No problem, Midori. If you want, we can train this week. I like to dance a lot in my free time so we can set up a meeting time where I can teach you, and lucky for you, I'm already planning on helping our class's cinnamon roll to become a little bit more flexible." The boy was confused till she pointed to Ochako who blushed under the attention directed toward her.

Izuku then left as Mina smiled as she set her plans in motion to make Midoraka a thing, but Toru came and said, "You know you're setting Ochako to have her heart break right." The girl looked at her and frowned for a moment before telling her that she has everything under control. For some reason, Toru wasn't convinced by what Mina said to her.

Izuku and Setsuna walked together given that their homes were on the same path, so the girl asked, "What did you talk about with Mina?"

The boy replied, "Nothing really, but I heard her say that dancing helped her be more flexible so I asked her to teach me how to dance to make my movements much more graceful instead of that of a rusty old robot." The girl chuckled at the statement.

"You have to give yourself credit though," Setsuna interjected, "you had your quirk for such a small time, but you're already trying to master it as much as you can. I think you deserve a slap on the back for that. Most people would use being a late bloomer as an excuse to sit back and relax and laze off, but you didn't so feel proud of yourself."

The boy nodded his head, "Yeah, I think you have a point, but…" The girl silenced him by putting her finger on his lip and saying, "Shhhhh, now, no need to be negative. Now repeat after me: I've done good enough, so there's no need to overdo it and hurt myself."

The boy chuckled, "I've done good enough, so there's no need to overdo it and hurt myself." The boy then remembered something and asked, "What do you want for dinner today, Setchan?"

The girl blinked a little when she remembered that she was technically still crashing at Izuku's home making her blush a little bit.

"Sorry, Izuchan. I have to go home," the boy frowned but she carried on, "I know that you don't want me to be alone, but I can't sleep at your home for an entire week."

The boy sighed, "Alright, but feel free to come over, if you ever felt alone, okay?" the boy lifted his fist and the girl's fist bumped him nodding her head.

The girl said to Izuku as they reach her home, "Hey Izuchan, my sister is taking me to the national history museum. Do you want to tag along?" the boy looked at her with a small blush, "That's if you want to."

The boy knew that he could refuse, but the girl asked him and it seemed wrong to tell her 'no' given that she was his best friend, and that meant that they usually hang out with each other, so he nodded his head and said, "Alright, then I guess I'll see at the weekend."

The girl smiled as she approached him and hugged him before running into her home. the boy had a huge blush on his face, but he shook his head and walked away.

Inside the girl's house, Setsuna came face to face with her mom. The girl happily greeted her mother, "Hey mom, how's your day been?"

The woman replied, "Hmm, I guess I could say that it was awful given that I came yesterday and found my daughter missing from home. where have you been young lady?"

The girl blinked slowly, "But I told her that I was going to sleep over at my friend's house." The girl then fished out her phone opened the messages and showed her mother.

The woman was shocked as she checked her phone and indeed that her daughter did send her a message about this 3 days before the sports festival when she was busy with something with her father. "I guess I was the wrong one here, so let's let bygones be bygones."

"Okay, bye now." the girl walked away, but something grabbed her and lifted her in the air. The girl giggled a little as she looked at her father. Even though he wasn't there for her as much as he was when she was younger, she was still a daddy's princess. She still hated the fact that her parents were workaholics, but she loved them dearly.

"How is my little dino doing?" the snake man asked her. She smiled a little, "Fine Daddy."

The man asked her, "But who was that boy that I saw you hugging outside the house? He seemed that he was ready to pass out." the girl frowned a little as she could sense the anger in his voice. She knew that her father hated boys coming near her so she said, "He's my friend from school."

"He's a troublemaker. I think you should stop seeing him, Setsuna." Her mother said.

"And where did you get that impression from?" the girl said as she got out of her father's embrace. The man now looking between the two women not knowing what to do.

The woman replied, "Did you see his last fight with that boy? He brutalized him."

A vein could be seen throbbing over the girl's forehead, "Mom, with all due respect, what happened between them is deeper than it looks, so can please just leave my friend alone, and stop painting him like some kind of gang member, because he's really one of the nicest people that I ever met in my entire life."

Her father tries to defuse the situation, "Setty, you know we don't mean it like that, but we just don't want you to mingle with the wrong crowd. I mean what happened does put a few red flags on him. you don't know that whole nice thing could be just an act."

The girl shook her head and stomped away from them as her mother said, "He's a bad influence on her."

Her husband sighed as he looked at his wife with a tired look, "Could you try to be objective? I mean Setty is right. We built our impression on a fight that we don't know the whole story behind. I think we should give it some time and see what happens before we decide to intervene."

The woman looked at him, and said, "Didn't you hear what he did last time? He took your daughter to his home. God knows what he could've done to her."

The man replied, "And god knows what could have happened had she spent her night on the street. Look, while it's true that I don't trust teenage boys around my daughter, she's a grown-up and an upcoming hero who knows what she's doing, and don't forget as much as we hate to say it, we aren't as present as we wish we are in our daughter's life, so we can't say that we know her friends as she does. You know how much our daughter hates that we are always busy with work, that's why we decided to give her space while also looking out for her. Plus, I'll find a way to talk with the boy and grill him over." The father finished activating his protective dad mode.

The woman sighed as she slumped in her chair and let out an exasperated, "Fine" The man sweat-dropped how both women are so alike, yet so different.

The weekend came faster than the boy thought. he spent his week mostly training like he usually did, and spending time in Aichi with Mina and Ochako; the former helped him get limber while the latter was just getting to know him overall, though he found it weird that Mina was always talking to him or Ochako about how good the other one is.

The boy was now in his room readying himself for his outing with his friend. He wore a green T-shirt that said 'Museum' in kanji, and some dark green pants in addition to his famous red sneakers. His mother came by and said, "Have fun on your date, Izuku."

The boy groaned as she said, "For the love of… mom, this isn't a date."

The woman replied from the kitchen, "That's what I said when I first met your dad." she then added, "I entered a gym yesterday, so don't feel worried if you come and don't find me, okay sweetie?" the boy nodded his head and went out.

The two have agreed to meet at the train station where they would go together and move toward the museum. The plan was to spend about 5 hours in the national history museum, then go out for some ice cream, before both of them head home, and her sister will tag along.

The boy was standing in the train station looking at his clock when he felt someone jump on his back, "Guess who's here?" Izuku chuckled at Tokage's behavior as she slid off his back, and walked up to him saying, "Good morning, Izuchan."

The boy greeted her back, "Good morning, Setcahn. How are you today?" he looked around looking for someone, "And where is your sister? I thought she was coming wit…" Suddenly something grabbed him from behind causing him to shriek and jump toward Setsuna who caught him as she glared at the invisible person.

A person began to appear Izuku saw a girl who looked like an older version of his friend with draconic features standing right in front of him, "So, you're the famous Izuku Midoriya that my sister doesn't stop talking about when she comes home. I can see why though. She's right; you are cute." The girl was silenced as the green-haired girl began telling her to be quiet while Izuku was having a meltdown, 'Setchan thinks that I'm cute!' the boy didn't know why, but he had a warm feeling in his chest.

Hana told her sister, "Oh stop being a party pooper, I bet he thinks the same way about you." Setsuna looked at Izuku who blushed as he looked away making her blush in turn, 'He thinks that I'm cute.' The girl felt her heart beat faster, 'Why am I acting like this? This never happened before.'The girl shook her head as she walked to the train with the other two following her.

Setsuna bounced in her seat excited to see the museum, "I never knew that you were into history that much." Izuku stated from beside her as the girl looked at him with a huge sharp-toothed grin, "Not history, but I really like archeology. I like dinosaurs. I was originally planning to be a paleontologist, but I saw a hero saving a little girl and I was inspired to be a hero. I saw how happy she was, and I wanted to be there for people to make them feel happy and that they have someone to stand by their side."

Izuku nodded his head, "Why don't you do both? I mean when we become pros. We still have our high school education, so you can in essence enter college to have an major in paleontology. I mean I'm planning to study quirk science."

The girl looked at him shocked, "What? you thought that I was going to become a pro hero without a backup plan in case I was permanently injured." Izuku said with a confused look.

The girl chuckled, "I guess so. I mean that you seemed so focused on heroics that you didn't seem to have anything else. I mean you are a huge fanboy." Izuku blushed.

Hana smiled from the side, "That's really smart of you, Izuchan. But jokes aside, I think it's really responsible of you to have something in case your hero came to an abrupt end."

The boy was heavily blushing as he stiffly nodded his head, 'Now, I think I know where Setchan has her flirtatious attitude from.' The girl herself was glaring holes into her sister's head who was quietly laughing knowing that she was going to have a fun time messing with those two.

It was about half an hour till they reached the museum. The green-haired grabbed Izuku's hand as she was bouncing up and down happily, "Come on, Izuchan. There's a couple of new dinosaurs on display that were brought here from the USA."

The boy smiled softly at the girl's happy attitude as he allowed her to drag him around as she listed the various dinosaurs in the museum with a goofy expression on her face. The girl pointed to a skeleton, "This is a new one. Let's go see it." the girl read the label on it, "That's so cool. It's a new type of Plesiosaur. There are only two types, but this is a new discovery."

The girl grabbed the boy's hand and ran to the next display as she began to talk with him as her sister watched her with a happy smile. The girl followed them around making sure that the girl didn't try to steal a dinosaur bone to add it to the collection of bones that she had at home. how she had them, Hana didn't want to know.

The girl then dragged the boy inside a movie theater as she squealed, "They're going to put a documentary about the evolution line of dinosaurs."

Izuku was also now interested in what the documentary was about. He had to admit that the girl was really smart and knew her stuff when it came to paleontology. He was also interested in the movie; he wasn't the type of person to knock down a chance to get to learn more stuff.

The girl and the boy sat inside the movie theater alone as her sister declined to feel that she wanted to check other parts of the museum and that she has seen enough scaly monsters for one day.

The documentary went on for about three hours and Izuku took notes during it. the girl asked him if he was willing to share, so he gave her the notes and told her to give them to him when she feels like it.

After that, the trio went to the ice cream polar where Izuku learned that Tokage's favorite flavor is mint with chocolate chips. The girl herself learned that the boy liked blueberry-flavored ice cream.

After that, the 3 called it a day, and everyone began to make their way to their home.

As Setsuna and Hana we remaking their way to their home, the big sister asked, "Hey Set," the younger girl looked at her, "When are you going to make your move on him? he seems like a catch."

Tokage chuckled a little, "That's a good one, Hana. Seriously though, the joke is becoming old."

Her sister blinked a little asking her, "And whoever said that I was joking."

Tokage's laughing stopped as she said, "Then stop it for good. I'm not in love with him, alright?" the girl crossed her arms as she looked away from her sister, but the small blush was still visible, 'For someone who likes talking about people's love life, you sure hate talking about yours. Or you just like to act like you're in denial.' The older one thought.

Hana, "Are you sure you don't like him?" the younger one nodded her head, "Well, hate to break it for you, but your blush tells another story." The girl's cheeks flared even hotter as she looked at her sister throwing a comically betrayed look.

The older sighed as she stepped to her sister's level and said, "Look me in the eyes and tell me that you don't love him or at least that you're not interested in him in that way." The younger one averted her eyes making Hana chuckle, "Your silence is all I need."

"I said that I don't…" a hand was put on her mouth as Hana said, "Now, now, little Set, mom always told us not to lie. You told me that you don't like him, but that's a lie, and we both know it." the girl tried to move the hand away, but the older carried on, "Tell me, imagine yourself in the future with him by your side. He grabs you and holds you tight. He then brings his lip to yours and then you begin making out. Imagine sitting in a small house with him, a green-haired child comes calling out to you and…" Tokage's face was becoming hotter and hotter as she finally yelled, "Okay, I get it. I like him, okay. Stop doing that." the older started to laugh at her sister's misery, "Wouldn't that have been easier for both of us?"

Once the older one calmed down, she asked again, "Now, when are you going to make your move?"

The younger one rubbed her shoulder saying, "I don't know, but maybe when we graduate. Till then I guess that I'll just have to suppress my feeling…"

"no, most definitely not." Hana said while crossing her arms, "Suppressing your feelings will lead to a disaster, it could cause you to lose focus. And it might break your heart if someone else talked to him before you."

Setsuna bit her lip, "But it's better that way, I just feel that if I asked him out right now, I'd be distracting him from the hero course."

Hana shook her head, "Wrong, if he can't manage to balance his life while he's a student with no responsibility whatsoever, then he won't be able to balance it as a full-time hero."

"wow, you're shooting down my reasons faster than Mom shooting Dad when he's trying to raid the pantry at night when we were younger." Both girls chuckled at the memory, "But there are still our parents! They're absent, but tend to do that overprotective act of theirs pretending to care for us…" "Says daddy's princess." "…I know that they care, but the whole overbearing act is annoying. I mean how is that supposed to give me space if they scare my friends away? Anyway, Dad, I can handle him, but Mom seems to be having it out for him."

"Don't worry. This thing is still your choice at the end of the day, and Mom can't stop you." The older girl flexed her muscles, "And just because you're a hero in training doesn't mean I can't still protect you from dangers that we out of your league."

The younger nodded as her sister hugged her and said, "Remember that all I want is to see you happy, and so do Mom and Dad. Even for all their flaws, wrong way of doing things, and general absence, they want nothing but the best for you, although they can tone it down a little bit."

The younger chuckled, "Yeah, especially with the overprotective act." The older one kept laughing as she continued talking with her sister about how to attract the boy's attention.

The new week came by in a blink of an eye as school was in session, Izuku was on the train when someone asked him, "Are you Izuku Midoriya by any chance?" the boy looked at him and nodded as Tokage who was beside him groaned making the boy wonder why she did that.

In a mere moment, people were swarming both students with Tokage quietly threatening to bite anyone who dares and touch her. By some miracle, Izuku managed to pull himself and Tokage from the train as the girl said, "That's why you never confirm your identity on a full train." The boy rubbed his head in embarrassment as the girl rolled her eyes pinching his cheek.

They both walked to school and entered their classroom, although they heard some commotion from 1-A, but they mostly shrugged.

When they entered the classroom, their classmates were all talking about how people reacted to them as they saw them from the sports festival. they heard Bondo, the class's gentle giant, say, "People kept swarming me. it was honestly scary."

Manga replied, "Come on, big guy. You have to get used to it, but shouldn't you be used to it? I mean that you look interesting. Heck, I look interesting. By the way, people were really cool asking me for autographs."

Yui said, "They were too noisy." Reiko nodded her head adding, "And some of them were really touchy, but I hope the pain that they suffered in their life savings earned had helped them on a more righteous path." all the boys shivered at the implications of the girl's words.

Awase quietly muttered, "Your brutal, Yanagi." The girl shrugged as she continued her talk with Yui like she just hasn't broken the spirits of the boys in the class.

Pony trying to change the subject, "In other news, I got really good in my Japan… Sorry, I mean Japanese. I can now talk with you all freely." Everyone smiled at her and encouraged them to keep strengthening her language. "Also, people also noticed me from the sports festival. some kids even asked to pet me. it was a little bit embarrassing, but I couldn't say no to the kids."

Kamakiri yelled from the side, "Have some respect woman. We're humans not animals for all that's holy," the boy popped a blade and cut the incoming vine from Ibara while flipping her off, "Plus, you'll give them the idea that we're no better than animals." The boy noticed the sad look the girl had and said, "Look, I'm not mad, but the thing is mutant discrimination is a thing, and if people start seeing us getting petted, they'd call for us to be looked in cages. But still, I'm sorry for yelling I should've just given my opinion in a better way."

The horse girl regained her bubbly behavior as she said, "No problem, Kamakiri. Plus, I get your point. Even in the USA, mutant discrimination is really bad, but showing people that we're nice will prove to them that we're just like them. Sometimes a good deed will kill a lot of hatred."

The boy looked at her and quietly mumbled, "I'm sorry. I never thought of it that way."

The boy then noticed everyone looking at him weirdly as he said, "What's with the looks?"

Itsuka said, "Well, we never thought you for the guy who would apologize."

The boy began to foam at the mouth, "For the last fucking time, I can perfectly apologize." Everyone laughed at him as he slumped in his chair mumbling about how everyone had the wrong idea about him.

Izuku chuckled, "Calm down, Kamakiri. I'm sure everyone's just joking, and that they don't mean anything."

Kamakiri looked at him before looking away and saying, "Speak for yourself, and by the way, I never said this when I saw you in the infirmary," Izuku looked at him, "Nice job kicking blondie's ass. You really knocked him down a peg or two. He needed that reality check, but since we're on the topic of fighting…" the boy was looking at him and it felt like he pierced his soul, "I still want that match between us. Mark my words, I will crush you." Izuku nodded his head. While the words seemed harsh and threatening, there was no heat to them like when Bakugo used to say him. the green-haired boy wondered, 'Is Kamakiri my rival now? it doesn't seem like a bad idea.'

Izuku grinned as he said, "Well then, I'll be waiting for you." The other boy scoffed with an amused smile looking at him.

Itsuka said, "Wow, it seems that you're fired up today." The boy shrugged as Tetsu slid into the room saying, "Safe, I made it just on time and with three minutes to spare. The fans were a lot. I couldn't walk since there were so many of them."

Kendo rubbed her ponytail, "Tell me about it. Even though I didn't make it far in the sports festival, people were still asking for my autograph…" The girl's fists enlarged a little bit as she said, "It was a little embarrassing." She covered her face with her hands.

Kinoko actually shrugged, "I don't have a problem with the fans. I mean I going to be an idol hero so might as well get used to it, but you're right that it can be embarrassing." The brown-haired girl said with red cheeks.

They all continued to chat with each other as Vlad entered the room quietly. He waited for a couple of minutes before finally yelling, "SHUT THE HELL UP MAGGOTS! I'VE BEEN HERE FOR 4 MINUTES ALREADY, AND YOU'RE STILL CHATTING AWAY. WHAT HAPPENED TO SITUATIONAL AWARENESS? DO I HAVE TO BRING GRAN TARINO IN TO INCREASE IT FOR YOU?"

The entire class paled as they all jumped into their seats while saying, "We're sorry, Vlad-sensei. We promise that it won't happen again." The man nodded his head as he set some papers he was holding and said, "Now let's move to more important matters."

Vlad then made a projector and said, "As you were told a week before all of you will receive internship offers. The offers show what heroes have an interest in you. These offers will allow you to go work with heroes on the field for the next week. This week will have you train learn skills, and much more, but be careful, that these offers could be revoked from those heroes once they lost interest in you."

The hero then used a projector to display the offers, "Look, these are the number of offers that everyone received. Those who didn't receive don't fret, because the school has 40 agencies from which you can go during this week and train at their agencies." The results were then presented, "Usually, the results are much more evened out, but this year, the results were much closer to the top 4." Everyone looked at the results and was shocked at the amount the top 3 in their class had:

Izuku Midoriya: 5800 offers

Everyone yelled, "Wow, you have a lot of offers, Midoriya." The boy himself blushed as he looked away with his friends praising him for having such a huge amount.

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu: 3000 offers

The boy himself smiled as he said, "That's awesome. This is the greatest thing ever."

Togaru Kamakiri: 2143 offers

The hero student smiled. he really wished that he managed to fight in the finals, but he got a really good number of offers. The hero student wondered who might want him.

Ibara Shiozaki: 1100 offers

The girl clasped her hands together as she said, "Thank you lord for this opportunity that has shined upon thou soul. I promise that I would work to my utmost limits and improve my abilities in my fight on the righteous path." she was accompanied by a light as Manga said, "Yeah, I'm not going to ask where it comes from, but I'm gonna need your blood, Shiozaki. I need to take it to the lab to make sure that you have one quirk." The girl blinked a little before glaring at the cartoon boy who raised his hands in a sign of surrender.

Itsuka Kendo: 300 offers

The girl deflated a little since she really wanted more offers, but she was happy that she got one to begin with given that she didn't make it far in the sports festival. She wondered who should she go with. Of course, one of the obvious choices, if he sent an offer, would be Gunhead since he's a martial artist which fits well with her theme given that she's also a martial artist. Others such as Death Arms, and any hero with fist-related quirks would be good choices for her. The girl smiled as she swore to herself to become a better hero.

Setsuna Tokage: 250 offers

The girl smiled to herself. She wouldn't admit it, but she wasn't happy with her performance at the sports festival. Bakugo was able to discover how her quirk works, and while not every villain she will come across will be as smart as him... it's better to be safe than sorry. She knew that she needed someone who can help her increase her time for the separation of her body, and also reduce the cooldown of her quirk.

Kinoko Komori: 34 offers

The girl brightened up as she said, "That's really great." She then turned to Midoriya and said, "Please Izuku, can you please help pick the right internship? You are a hero expert after all."

Izuku gave her a thumbs-up as he said, "Of course, I will do my best to help you to pick the right agency to increase the strength of your quirk." The girl smiled at him, but she could tell that others were now eying him like a cat eying the cream. Yeah, Kinoko knew that opened all gates of hell on him right now, but he seemed happy.

Vlad then coughed, "Well, those are the people who received internships, but like I said there are agencies for those who hadn't received offers, so don't worry about the internships."

The hero added, "Listen, kids, now that we have finished the internship offers, we have to move for something more pressing which is…" The hero took a deep breath and yelled, "Hero Names." The class cheered with happiness as they all waited for this to happen at the beginning of the year. "Calm down students, I know that you're excited, but this isn't as simple as you believe it to be. A hero's name is your essence. It basically represents who you are to the public, so you need to be careful what you pick or else it will…"

"…be a pain in the ass further down the line. What's up, little listeners?" Present Mic said as he strolled inside the room with a huge grin on his face. The students greeted him as he explained, "Today, I'll be helping choose your hero names for the internships, so choose wisely because the name I deem… well inappropriate or doesn't match my expectations will be shot down quickly. You dig?" the hero finished as the students all nodded their heads. The hero then passed on sheets as the students all began to brainstorm what they wanted their hero names to be.

Izuku looked at his sheet as he thought about what to write, 'I technically have no ideas what to write for a hero name. All I have is the old ones which are a little embarrassing given that they're a spin on All Might's hero name.' the boy looked at his friends and some of them seemed to have finished writing their names, 'My hero name has to be something that holds a deep meaning. At one point, I considered using Deku as a spin on Dekriu, but no; I refuse to be called useless as a hero name…' The boy was deep in thought so he didn't notice the first person to walk up to the stage to present their hero name.

Yui walked first as she presented her hero name causing many blushes to erupt on the students' faces. They knew that the girl wasn't perverted, but was very blunt, but this was too much. Mic agreed, "I think you should keep it PG 13 for the folks out there."

The girl blinked nodding her head as she erased the old one and simply put 'The size hero: Rule', the hero gave her a thumbs up as she went back to her seat.

The second person to present their hero name was surprisingly the shy Bondo who went by 'Plamo' which was approved by present Mic quickly given that the name was related to his quirk.

After that, Awase came up and said, "My hero name is the welding hero: Welder." The name was met by silence and Mic who said, "Can you try something… I don't know… more exciting."

The boy frowned as the name was related to his quirk, but he had to admit that it was lackluster. Izuku saw this, and said, "How about the forge hero: Hephaestus? I mean you do sometimes use your quirk to forge weapons to defend yourself with."

The boy shrugged as he looked at Mic and pointed at Izuku, "What he said." The hero sweat-dropped but accepted it given that the name was awesome in his books. he vaguely remembered how he came up with Eraserhead's name.

Following that, others came up such as Juzo who went by 'Mudman', Reiko who picked 'Emily' but changed it to 'le Liorona' at Izuku's suggestion, Shishida who used the name of an ancient beast that used to terrorize France 'Gevaudan', 'Comicman' for Manga, 'Vantablack' for Shihai, 'Maria' for Ibara after Mic refused the name 'Vine' telling her to be more creative, 'Bubbler' for Kosei, 'Rockettii' for Pony, 'Double Tap' for Shoda, 'Dragon Shroud' for Rin, and 'Rotate' for Sen.

Kamakiri came up next and said, "My hero name is the 'slashing hero: Jack Mantis'." He was booed by Present Mic who said, "Weren't you angry when I compared you to the infamous serial killer?" the boy looked away as he said, "Well, I don't have anything else."

Izuku said, "How about the 'blade hero: Mars'? I think the war god in Roman mythology suits you completely." The bug boy thought about it for a moment before nodding his head, and Present Mic approved of it.

Kamakiri looked at Izuku, "I guess you aren't half bad after all. who knew that you had different information other than heroes?"

Following him came up Tetsu who said, "I have had this name ever since I was a little boy. I'm the 'Metal Hero: Real Steel'." he then looked at Mic who nodded his head.

Kinoko came up next as she presented her name, "I'm the 'Witch Hero: Shemage'," She looked at the voice hero and asked, "Is it good?" the man gave her two thumbs up.

Setsuna followed her and said, "I'm Lizardy, and no, I'm not changing it. I wanted it since I was a little girl." The voice hero shrugged as the girl skipped to her seat followed by Kendo who at first used something simple but decided to ask Izuku and she wrote, 'Battle Hero: Athena'; the voice hero approved of it given that it reflected the girl well.

Izuku was last the one to go up to the stand as he held the card tightly, "My entire life I was always knocked out by everyone around me for having my own dreams, but I never gave up. I kept hoping even though it hurt me so much back then, I kept believing that I'm going to make it no matter what," the boy then turned the paper, "so that's why I'm going to be known 'The Symbol of Hope: Viridian Guardian'." Everyone smiled as Mic applauded him.

His friends smiled at him, while Tokage flushed a little as she remembered like the time she called him 'greenie', 'Did he honor me in his hero name?'

The voice hero then said, "Remember guys, that you can all change your hero name further down the line. These are only temporary till you want to change them." Everyone nodded their heads as the hero nodded.

In class 1-A, the class was dead silent even with the joy of writing their hero names, and Eraserhead felt bad for them. It wasn't every day that they heard that their friend is on probation, and might lose his seat in the hero course. He was worried especially for Kirishima who seemed out of it for some reason; understandable given that he was the boy's closest friend.

The hero still remembered when Bakugo was given his punishment at Nezu's office…

Bakugo sat with his parents as they looked at the principal wondering why they were called. Part of Bakugo's parents was hoping that the parents of the girl didn't sue them for their son losing control, while the second one wanted to simply smack her son's thick head.

Nezu talked, "I presume that you are all confused why are you here?" Both parents nodded their heads as Nezu said, "Well, you see we discovered something about young Bakugo and we wanted to discuss it with you, but first…" The principal pulled up a small screen and said, "… you need to see this, so you can catch up to speed for your son's 'perfect' behavior back in junior high." The rat said in a voice that made the three gulp.

Katsuki's parents were forced to watch and hear the fight between their son and their honorary son and hear how their son claimed to bully Izuku just because the latter wanted to be a hero without a quirk, and not only that; he also suicide-baited him. they were also served footage of their son attacking him in their previous school in various occasions yelling something about the boy standing in his way and looking down on him. the worst thing that sometimes Izuku was sitting alone not bothering anyone, but their son would still seek him out to attack him.

The boy himself was in shock as he quietly cursed, "Fuck," he gulped, "I'm so screwed right now."

He was smacked by his mom, but instead of shouting, she was quiet, deathly quiet. The rat then said, "Right now as we speak, our teachers are determining the boy's punishment."

The door was knocked as the nighttime hero entered, "I'm Bakugo's homeroom teacher. My name is Shouta Aizawa." He looked at the rat god and said, "Nezu sir, we're done."

The rat god clapped his hands, "Good, so what did you decide?"

The hero looked at Bakugo, "As much as we wanted to expel him and blacklist him from every hero school we can influence, we decided to give him a little test to prove his worth." Nezu titled his head, "But first let's get into his punishment," the man pulled out a bracelet attaching it to Bakugo's foot.

The boy sparked his hand, but the bracelet electrocuted him as the hero said, "This device will detect you when you use your quirk and monitor you during your punishment, it will electrocute you when you try to activate your quirk."

"What the fuck are you ta…" He was silenced by his father who said, "Be quiet," the boy withered under his father's eyes as the man looked at Eraserhead, "Carry on."

The hero nodded, "Bakugo from now till the end of the first trimester, you're out of the hero course. You'll be in general studies. Don't complain and increase the problem you're in more than it is. You're not allowed to train your quirk. You can't complain. You are technically on probation."

"Is this about Deku? Why do you all care about him all of a sudden? He's just a worthless pebble on my way to greatness. You can't treat me like…" he was cut off by Aizawa's scarf wrapping around him as the hero said, "It would appear that the visit here last time, and the fact that Nezu said that you need to tone down your ego didn't help."

The hero let him go, "And for your test, you'll go to the quirkless orphanage till the end of the first trimester where you'll help around. All you have to do there is have one child say that you're a good person, and then you'll be back in the hero course. If not then you'll be expelled from U.A. altogether, and be sent to a villain rehabilitation program in Shiketsu after we submit everything about your activities to the police to start your villain career. Don't think we're putting in this program as a reward or saving you; no, but your potential as a villain or a ruthless vigilante is good enough to want us to keep you from endangering others, but remember if you fail our test and then fail Shiketsu, it's bye-bye for your career as a hero. If I were you, I'd start looking for an alternative route given that you're most likely to fail." the hero turned to walk away but added, "You know that if you fail both options, we don't carry if you go villain, you'll be hunted down no matter how much you try to hide."

The boy was shocked. He was about to yell, but his father said, "We accept everything."

And with that, the boy's fate was sealed…

Right now, Bakugo was standing in front of the 'Happy Sunshine Orphanage'. The boy scoffed as he said, "Let's get this shit over with." The boy took a step forward remembering what his father told him about learning who's responsible for his current situation, 'I don't know. But I need to know if I want to be the next number one hero.'

Back in U.A., Izuku was surrounded by his friends as they asked him to help them pick out their internships. He first helped Yui by pointing her to go with Gunhead given that she needed to focus on hand-to-hand combat since her quirk required hand contact. Ibara went with his suggestion to go with Kamui Woods. Shishida asked him and he told him to go with either Shishido or Gang Orca. Finally, he helped Kamakiri pick his internship; the boy suggested that he go with Yoroi Musha since his quirk allowed him to summon all types of ancient weapons from blades to arrows, to spears, to axes.

He was now sitting with his friends as he studied their offers till Kendo said, "I think I found one. How about the snake hero…" Izuku took the offer and threw it away, "Sorry, Kendo, but she'll use you for advertisements and you won't learn anything. I think you should go with Gunhead like Kodai." The girl nodded her head as she dodged a bullet.

Kinoko decided to go with a hero with a nature quirk known as the 'Green Heroine: Peace'. Tetsu chose to go with Fourth Kind.

Setsuna was the only one left. She searched through her pile and was shocked as she said, "I have an offer from the number 5 hero: Edgeshot." The girl took it and quickly signed it.

Izuku decided to search for his offers back home. "I think I'm going to go to the support lab to get my suit and test it a little bit." He stood up and left though he felt as if someone was glaring at him.

Setsuna then said, "Izuchan, wait up. I want to see my suit too."

During the afternoon, Izuku returned from the gym after testing his suit and developing a new super move to use by accident after training with Kendo in the gym.

The boy was now going to talk with All Might about what happened to him during his fight with Shinso. he had all forgotten about it during his struggle in the sports festival, so he decided to talk with the man now.

He knocked on the door a secret tap All Might taught him. The man opened the door and allowed the boy to enter. The hero looked at him and said, "So what did you want to talk with me about?"

The boy replied, "Something odd happened with OFA during the sports festival when I went up against Shinso." the man's eyes widened as he was now fully immersed in the conservation with his successor, "When he ordered me to leave, I couldn't control my body, but suddenly, in the corridor, I saw 8 shadowy people standing there and one of them looked like you. They all helped me break his control as one of them me that 'it's not time yet'. Do you have any idea what that could have been about?"

He looked at the hero who shivered, "Ghosts? That's really scary." The man shook his head, "But that's normal. I can still remember dreams about the predecessors of OFA, but none with that level of clarity that you talk about." The man rubbed his head, "For now, we act as normal, but if anything like that happened again, you are to tell me."

Izuku nodded his head as he went home.
