The True Training Begins
Izuku was sleeping happily in his bed. He was covered by his warm bed sheets at the rabbit hero's agency; he had to admit that this was the best sleep he had in ages. It felt like he was sleeping on a fluffy cloud. Little did he know that this peaceful sleep was about to on an unpleasant note.
The door slowly slid open as someone snuck inside the room holding a blowhorn. She put it in front of Izuku's face and pressed the button on the top of the blow horn letting its head fill the entire building, "Wake up, twerp. It's time for your morning exercises."
The boy in a panic activated his quirk and jumped as high as he can, hitting the ceiling and causing him to fall back to his bed with the rabbit hero saying, "I might have overdone it."
The boy rubbed his head which had a lump on it, and said, "You don't say."
The rabbit hero shook her head, "Well as amusing as that was, you need to head over to the training room asap. We need to do some basic exercises before we have a spar. I want to see how strong you are. Yesterday was just an introduction."
The woman left the room as Izuku sighed and looked at his watch and mentally yelled, 'What the fuck! It flipping 3 am. Does this woman have no sense of time?' the boy suddenly felt a shiver run through his spine, 'Why do I hear boss music?!'
The boy shook his head as he jumped out of his bed, walked to the bathroom, and freshened up, before grabbing his workout clothes and heading toward the training room. once he was there, he was greeted by a foot to the face as the hero said, "Sure took your sweet time getting here."
The boy sheepishly rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry, but I was really tired and I didn't think that you'd wake me up this early." The woman looked at him as if she was determining his fate before sighing, "Fair enough, but remember as long as you're with me, you're going to wake up this early."
The boy nodded his head, saluting her like a soldier as he asked, "So what type of warm-ups are we going to do?" the woman smiled, making him feel bad.
The woman then walked to a section of the room pressed a button and had the wall removed displaying various weights as she said, "I'm going to do my current workout. You're going to focus on increasing your muscle mass since what I read said that the more muscle mass you have, the more percentage and power you can handle, so I hatched up a plan for you so we can have utmost efficiency while you're here and work things such making you perfect your horrible kicking which I call an abomination…" she stopped noticing Izuku looking at her weirdly.
She walked to him and flicked his forehead saying, "Hey twerp to earth, do you copy? What happened to cause you to freeze like this?"
The boy shook his head, "Well, I didn't expect you of all people to have some sort of educational plan. I mean you are portrayed as a savage barbarian in the news…" the boy was silenced as a fist connected with his stomach causing to kneel over.
The woman stood in front of him with a pissed-off expression as she said, "Didn't you hear? The media lies all the time. And for your information, I was at the top of my class when it came to academics. Just because I like to fight doesn't mean that I'm a battle junky."
The boy nodded his head mentally noticing how the woman was contradicting herself when she admitted that she liked fighting, but he didn't dare to point that out.
The boy stood up rubbing his stomach as the hero came back with 2 weights and threw them at him. the boy carried it and noticed it to be light, "This is it. I thought I'd have something heavier…" he was silenced by Miruko yelling, "Quiet twerp, I ain't done yet."
The woman came back with a couple of weights and began attaching them to the boy's wrists, legs, back, chest, and finally waist as she explained, "You see these weights are custom-made to adjust them as we see fit. So right now, I can theoretically increase the weight in each of those to 5 tons making you wearing 30 tons."
The boy gulped, "Wow, that sounds really cool and tiring at the same time."
The woman laughed saying, "Well twerp, no pain no gain, so let's begin with a nice 1 ton." The woman adjusted the weights as the boy was flung to the ground and was forced to activate OFA at 15% and even then he was barely holding himself together.
The woman stood above him and gave her orders, "Alright, I want you to do 500 pushups, 250 squats, 250 pull-ups, 250 one-handed pushups, and 250 crunches." The boy nodded his head and began to do pushups while the woman began her regular routine.
She noticed him beginning to slack off, "Don't go soft on me yet. We still the sparring match and there's no way in hell you're going to get out of it." the boy nodded his head returning to his workout. They both continued working in silence till Miruko whistled at him, "Man, you're tough. If you weren't half my age and already taken, I would've taken you out on a date."
The boy began to steam as he was doing his squats causing him to trip and fall straight on his face, "What do you mean taken? I don't have a girlfriend…"
The woman blinked so she hit a realization, "Oh, so you're one of those extra innocent types. Oh yeah, a girl totally has the hots for you, even has her scent written all over you."
The boy began to redo his squats as he began to think about which girl might be interested in him. Kendo was out of the picture since she saw him more like a little brother. Ibara was clear to everyone that she has ironically a bad boy interest given how she flocks around Awase even though he's everything she's not. Kinoko likes Shihai. Yui is hard to read. Reiko isn't interested. Pony said that she wasn't looking for a boyfriend right now, but then Tokage came to his mind and he began to blush so hard, his face became like a fire hydrant.
The boy replied, "But Setchan and I aren't anything like that…" it only took him to see her smirk to realize his mistake. The woman walked over to him and said, "But I never mentioned names. I guess whoever this girl is must be inhabiting your heart. Man, she's lucky."
The boy began to lose concentration as the woman slapped him upside the head, "Focus. What will you do if a villain flirted with you? Become a blushing mess and roll over." The boy whimpered nodding his head as the woman said, "I was only messing with you. Geez, it feels like you never heard a girl telling you that you're good-looking before."
An awkward silence from Izuku made her realize that what she said was the truth exactly, "Well, that's depressing. I guess I can add confidence training to the list because you desperately need some." The woman then sat on his shoulders and said, "Consider this some extra weight. I already finished my routine, might as well makes yours a little more interesting."
The boy sighed as he nodded his head. It took him 3 hours to finish the inhumane training program, but he finished it and Miruko gave him a 30-minute break to relax his muscles before they sparred together.
30 minutes later, the boy returned to the training room cracking his neck as the woman stood in front jumping up and down as she shook her head readying herself for a fight.
The hero said with a vicious smile, "Look here twerp, I won't hold back on the account that you're a student. I will go full strength and I accept you to do the same thing. Going soft on someone won't help, only life and death situations show someone's real steel and what he's made off."
The boy nodded his head saying, "Hey Miruko-sensei." After that, there was an awkward silence between them as the woman had a small cloud above her head saying, "Never call me that again. You made me feel old."
The boy sweat-dropped, 'I guess it is true that women are very sensitive about their age…'
The rabbit hero then shook her head as she said, "Ready or not here…" she then launched herself toward him lifting her leg, "…I come." The boy didn't have time to counter as he was forced to jump to the side when the kick connected with the ground shattering it.
Somewhere else inside the agency, the secretary was having her coffee when it shook. The woman lifted the phone and dialed something, "Yeah, it's us. I know. Can you please send a repairman to fix the training room? what's the occasion this time? An intern… I know, I'm shocked as well… goodbye and sorry for any trouble…"
Back to Izuku, the boy managed to fire up his quirk to 15% and dashed the rabbit woman trying to punch only for her to jump above him and kick him at his side sending him flying to the side of the room. he stood up and saw the woman yawning as she dashed toward him.
He then tried to send a finger flick toward her but she jumped on the side of the wall before jumping above the targeted air and falling above the boy.
Izuku at that moment readied his fist and jumped to the side. When she landed, he tried to catch her off-guard only for the woman to catch his fist before kneeing him in the stomach and throwing him over her shoulder to the other side of the room, "Bet that you didn't think that I can use my hands as well as my feet. Bet that you thought that I only use kicks. Well newsflash, I'm good at punching as much as I'm good at kicking."
She then went flying toward him and the boy jumped to the side avoiding the very strong kick making him sigh in relief. The boy then stood up and pumped up his quirk to 18% which made him feel a little bit uncomfortable, but he can handle it.
The boy quickly ran around the room looking for an opening against the rabbit woman. He then noticed something wheeze past him causing him to look at where the hero was and found an empty spot. He then felt a heavy kick to his back sending him to the ground.
The rabbit hero yelled, "Don't let your guard down. It's a fast proof way to have a
one-way ticket to the cemetery and the land of heartbroken people."
The boy stood up, "Yes." He then dodged a kick, but the hero surprised him as she quickly turned around and punched him in the gut. She tried to punch him again, but he grabbed her hand and threw her over his shoulder making her smile.
The boy quickly jumped toward her as he said, "Shoot Style: Manchester Smash…" the boy however wasn't able to make contact as the hero jumped out of the way before kicking him in the face causing him to blackout.
The woman looked at the boy's form and said, "Well, he lasted longer than I expected." She looked at her clock and said, "5 minutes. Oh wow, he exceeded my expectations. I thought he would be down by the minute and a half mark."
The woman sat down and drank some water waiting for the boy to wake up. It took half an hour, but he woke up groggily, "Man, I feel like my head was put through the track of a stampeding herd of buffalo, and then had a steamroller drive over it."
The rabbit woman slapped him across the back saying, "Don't feel bad. You did well for a weakling."
The boy looked at her with a weird expression mentally wondering if this was her way of cheering up people because if it was, it was horrible.
The rabbit hero laughed as she said, "Man, the expression on your face is priceless. But in all honesty, you did well for someone facing off against a pro who had a ton of experience under her belt so don't feel bad about yourself."
Izuku rubbed the back of his head wincing in pain, "Well, it didn't feel like I did good. I expected to at least land a blow on you, or somehow at least make contact…" the boy was cut off by the woman's uproarious laughter. It took a couple of moments, but she finally calmed down.
She wiped a tear from her eye, "Kid, calm down your horses. You ain't gonna land a blow on me from the first day in the internship. It's gonna take a while." She then asked, "Can you take on the Nomu that All Might sent flying sky-high during the USJ."
The boy paled remembering the monster and shuddered, "Of course not, that thing would make a pretzel out of me."
The woman nodded her head, "Well, it can take me down too. Remember that sometimes there is going to be an opponent who you have to be careful with especially if you're out of your league. Even though the media likes to portray me as a lone wolf, I do call for backup when I sense I'm going into a situation where I can't handle it alone."
The boy nodded his head as Miruko carried on, "What happened now was just a small taste of real life. There are two things I wanted to know that you can't beat everyone by brute force, even though you seem to know that, and sometimes you have to hold your ground."
"Wow, thanks Miruko-sensei…" he was hit by a fist as the woman said, "Don't call me that. you're making me feel old."
The boy responded jokingly, "Well, the white in your hair does make you look like you're a wise old kung-Fu mast…" the boy was silenced by a very deadly aura surrounding him as he looked at Miruko was emitting her anger in waves as she clenched her fist, "Did you say something?"
"No," the boy shook his head with a terrified expression, "I said that you don't look a day over 20."
The woman calmed down before saying, "That's much better…" Izuku sighed in relief as he managed to dodge a bullet. "Now, let's get to much more important stuff such as the things that I read during our small fight. The most important thing…" the woman then pointed at him, "…is that you're too goddamn easy to read. I've seen kids with more obscure moves."
Izuku looked at her confused as she explained further, "What I mean is that you're moves are too easy to predict. I know that punching and kicking aren't that hard, but you need to make sure that your opponent doesn't know what you're planning, and it all begins with body language. Even time you moved, I could read what you were planning to do unlike me where I caught you most of the time by surprise." The boy nodded his head at the explanation.
"Then there are your kicks…" the rabbit hero frowned, "they're bad. Palin and simple."
Just like yesterday, Izuku responded by saying, 'I didn't think that they were that bad. I think that I did really well.'He was cut out from his thoughts when Miruko put her face in his and yelled, "Well, you thought wrong they're awful. If I was a decent villain, you'd be dead ten times over."
The boy asked, "How did you know what I was thinking?" the woman replied quickly, "You need to stop mumbling. How that girl you have a crush on hasn't known by now is beyond my understanding?"
"Setchan and I are just friends." The boy said as he pressed his fingers against each other.
The woman smiled widely, "I never mentioned any names, you know."
The boy shook his blushing head as he countered, "So you were saying something about my kicks?"
The woman returned to the subject at hand, "Right, right, change the subject. Alright whatever back to the kicks, your form is unstable. First off, always make sure that you have a good balance in your stance, yours is a little bit shaky. Second, make sure that your feet are shoulder-width apart, yours is too wide. And always step forward with your weak feet in front of your dominant foot. And most importantly, you need to be lighter on your feet; I can see that you're still stiff in some areas, but not that much, so good work."
The boy sighed, 'I have to thank Ashido when I see her next time, those dancing lessons really came at hand today.' He was cut from his thoughts as Miruko said, "Oi, don't tell me that you're planning to form a harem."
The boy's face quickly heated up as he began to shake his hands furiously defending himself, "No never, I would never do something like that. my mom raised me to respect women. I swear I would never think of something horrible as that…" he was silenced by a punch to the gut.
"Geez dude, calm down. I was just kidding around." Miruko said as she let him fall to the ground.
The boy lifted a shaky thumbs-up as the heroine continued, "And something else, you need to be more careful with your kicks; you have a problem where you either perform them too early or too late giving your opponent time to dodge or counter, you need to master timing or put pressure on who you are fighting so he can't respond. And most importantly make sure to protect your vitals."
The boy nodded his head quickly as he began to write notes in a notebook making the woman sweat-drop as she asked herself, 'and here I was going to talk about situational awareness and he had this all the time.' The woman then wondered, 'Then again where the fuck did he bring this book from? I'm sure that I didn't see it when we entered here.'
The rabbit hero shook her head and said, "Alright, enough writing. It's time back for action." The woman licked her lips as a vicious smile appeared on her face, "It's time to take the training wheels off." She quickly lunged toward him as he activated his quirk to avoid her.
In Edgeshot's agency, Tokage was now literally stretched to her limits. Her body parts were now across the room each put under a weight so it would prevent them from reforming back to her to increase the time which they are part and even when they return, she has to separate them in under 30 secs to decrease her cool down period to 25 secs which according to her mentor isn't ideal, but is still progress.
Suddenly, the weights were removed as Egdeshot reformed, "Alright, I think that you earnt a little break from all this brutal training that you've been put through, and good work. You're really putting your best through it." he gave her a water bottle as he said, "After we finish training, I'm going to give some lessons on where to accurately strike. In others words, I will give you a biology lesson." The hero couldn't help, but chuckle as he heard a thud behind him.
The girl said, "I prefer you use me as a training dummy. I thought that we will be saved from boredom and not be put under it even further." The girl sighed as she imagined herself inside a high school uniform with Edgeshot wearing a suit with nerd glasses explaining to her the human joints.
The hero shook his head, "Now, I know that you kids these days would rather have some actions, but you need to know this." The girl nodded her head as the hero added, "Perhaps tomorrow, we can go on patrol, but today will focus on improving your skills and sparring a little."
The girl nodded as the hero then said, "Alright, let's go to my office so I can explain to you the perfect places to attack. Your quirk is similar to mine, but mine can target organs since I can lengthen my body so it becomes as thin as a string, and pierce their organs knocking them out."
The girl nodded having heard this before from the man as he added, "You on the other hand need to know where you are hitting them. The areas that you strike will help you end the fight faster."
They both entered the hero's office as the man picked up a board with a sketch and picture of the human muscular and skeletal system. The hero then began to explain as Setsuna sat down with a small notebook writing down notes, so she can achieve the best experience she can.
In another dojo, Kendo skipped to the side as Ochako came past her in an attempt to grab her and threw her over her shoulder. Ochako tried to turn, but Kendo swept her feet from under her before she grabbed the gravity girl and pinned her to the ground.
Ochako sighed, "I guess I have to give up and admit defeat." Kendo then released the girl who seemed disappointed.
The orange-haired girl frowned hating the downtrodden look on Ochako's face. She then sat down and looked at her, "What's wrong, Ocahko? It's kinda weird seeing someone as happy as you with a frown on their face."
The girl looked at her, "Well, I feel that I'm not doing well. You're so good that I can't even land a hit on you."
Kendo chuckled a little, "Ochako, I've been training since I was 4 years old. You can't expect to become at my level just from a couple of lessons, but in all honesty, you're becoming really good and grabbing the concepts quickly, so feel proud of yourself."
Ochako smiled, "Thanks, Kendo. That was really nice of you." She then stood up and took a pose saying, "I'll put even more time into mastering Gunhead's martial arts."
Kendo smiled a little clapping her hands, "That's the spirit, Ochako. Keep training like this and you'll succeed in no time." Kodai then came with some drinks as she handed the items to both girls.
She looked at both of them before saying, "Is Kendo being a big sister again? I thought this applied only to our class." She saw both girls looking at her before Ochako began to laugh hard while Kendo groaned.
Kendo said, "Listen Yui, I'm not the class's big sister. There are about 7 different people who are older than me." the girl looked at her silent friend with a serious expression, but Yui simply shrugged.
The black-haired beauty responded, "Well, you care for everyone. Guide the class through stuff that usually no class representative would care about. You try your best to make everyone feel good and sometimes you even remind us on the group chat to bring our lunch for the day."
A vein throbbed on the girl's forehead as she grabbed the silent girl and took her to the fighting mat and said, "Let's fight…" the girl quickly dashed toward the silent girl who put up a guard.
Kendo punched, but Yui jumped to the side at the last moment avoiding the blow. The silent girl tried to throw an uppercut but was forced to duck under Kendo's fist as the other girl grabbed her and pinned her to the ground. Yui said, "Did you get your aggression out?"
Kendo blushed a little, "Yeah, sorry about this." They both stood up as they heard someone enter the room.
Gunhead entered and exclaimed, "Oh my god, you're all so strong. You've been training since I left you, and I can tell just by looking that you're all becoming good at fighting, so how about all of you try to take me on in hand-to-hand combat." He then added, "without quirks obviously."
All the girls nodded their heads taking a fighting stance, Kendo was the first to take charge. She jumped high in the air as she flew toward him aiming to punch him, but the hero grabbed her and threw her to the side.
Ochako came from behind him trying to kick him, but the hero dodged before grabbing her and throwing her at Yui who tried to ambush him just as Ochako.
The three girls then regrouped as they looked at Gunhead who ushered them to attack him. Kendo frowned but talked to the girls. They all ran at him. Kendo tried to sweep his feet, but the hero jumped back as Ochako appeared trying to grab him, but swapped her hand away just in time and roll away from Yui as Kendo said, "Well, this is going to be quite difficult."
Back with Tetsutetsu, the boy was with Kirishima. Being heroes in training, someone might expect them to be in the gym lifting weights or at the fighting ring sparring together to make their quirks much better, however, right now they aren't in any place that might resemble heroism. At the moment, they're both stuck in the kitchen making tea for Fourth Kind.
The metalhead teen regretted his life choices really hard. He should have listened to Midoriya to go with Fatgum, but he insisted that he wants to go to Fourth Kind. "Man, I really made a mess. I should've listened to Mido-bro and gone with someone else."
Kirishima who was still as excited as ever put the tea inside a cup and took it to the hero's office. Tetsutetsu walked beside him as the red-haired teen spoke, "I don't know. I mean you shouldn't judge the entire internship just like that. we're only on our second day so things will pick."
The metal teen nodded absentmindedly as they entered the hero's office and presented him with a cup of tea. He wondered how his other friends were doing as a harsh sound broke him out of his thoughts.
He then saw Fourth Kind looking at them with an angry expression, "Can't you two clowns even make a decent cup of tea? How are going to impress clients who visit our agencies if the tea they receive is lukewarm?"
The boys quickly bowed as they said in unison, "We're sorry sir. We're trying our best next time so it won't happen again."
The hero then said, "You damn right you will. There won't be any more incidents of that kind in my agency, so make sure to never allow it to happen again." The man said punching both of them, but both boys unconsciously activated their quirks upon contact.
The man turned around, "Man, those quirks of yours sure make punching you extra satisfying."
Both boys yelled, "Yes, sir."
What the two boys didn't know was that one pair of their mentor's arms was currently glowing red from pain from punching their rock and metal heads respectively. The man said, "Now both of you get ready, we're going outside on a very important mission. So prepare yourselves…"
The man then went away to put his hands in cold water to help lessen the pain as both boys looked at each other excited with Kirishima saying, "See I told you that we will see some action soon."
Tetsu replied, "I know, but I hope that we don't end up disappointed like how this internship is till now." Kirishima pumped him when they heard Fourth Kind calling out to them, and both boys walked quickly to catch.
Tetsu thought, 'I really hope this doesn't end up as something anticlimactic.'
Cut to a small trip later, both Kirishima and Tetsu are picking up trash as Fourth Kind is lecturing them on helping your society. While both boys didn't have anything against the greater good, they expected more action as Tetsu mentally said, 'Called it.'
With Kinoko, the small brunette was inside a huge glass dome with all types of flora inside of it. the girl was marveling at the sight of the different plants especially the mushrooms since it was related to her quirk.
Her mentor for the week told her that they'll focus on 4 things; her knowledge of chemistry and mushrooms, her movements when she enters the fights, her range so she can extend to the maximum, and finally hand-to-hand combat since she might come up against someone who can resist her mushrooms such someone with a pig mutation which allows him to eat mushrooms easily.
Makomo came in with a huge book, a picnic basket, and a blanket. She first set out the blanket before slamming the book onto the ground and said, "Training time"
Kinoko ran quickly toward and sat beside the woman as the older one began, "Well first off, let's see what your quirk is. Your quirk is called mushroom; which allows you to release spores from your body onto surfaces in a certain range and grow said spores. Your quirk also allows you to control the chemical properties of said mushrooms; hope your experiments didn't cause people to go haywire." The woman smiled gently at a blushing Kinoko who said, "Only once, but my dad knocked out my uncle before he can do any damage."
The woman chuckled even further much to the girl's embarrassment carrying on, "Your only weakness is dry environments which prevent the mushrooms' growth, that's why you use your water guns to help them grow." The woman hummed, "I have to say that's quite the impressive quirk. Mine only allows me to grow flowers by skin touch so I was forced to incorporate dancing into my fighting style. Most villains think that my quirk works on eyesight and is timed that's why they try to avoid my eyes which gives perfect time to land blows and activate my quirk."
Kinoko nodded her head like an excited toddler making the woman laugh. The woman opened the book saying, "Now, let's start with a little bit of chemistry and botany, so we can see how good you are at those. Then we spar to see how good you are at hand-to-hand combat because those are a necessity."
Kinoko saluted the woman as the older opened a page and both of them began to talk with each other about different types of plants and chemistry formulas. Green Peace also made sure to give the girl more types of mushrooms and their effects so she can use them further in her hero career.
In the end, the mushroom girl can say that her internship was going to be a very exciting one and a good chance to expand her skills into a new horizon.
With Kamakiri, the boy was currently in the gym of the samurai hero agency lifting weights. The hero recommended that if he wanted to be able to do an air slash, he needs to have some serious muscle. The boy asked him how could he do it even though he was old and both of them had a wrestling match. let's just say, the boy learned the phrase respect your elders the hard way around.
The boy huffed and puffed, "296... 297… 298… 299… 300… and I'm done." The boy put aside a 300 kg weight as he yelled, "Oi, old timer, I'm done with lifting the weight you assigned me. All of them and on all of the machines that you told me to."
The old hero came and nodded his head before saying, "Alright, come on. Let's go to the sparring room. I want to see how far you made it." the boy blinked. Sure, he was training hard ever since he arrived, but he was sure that he couldn't make an air slash, or at least not a strong one.
Once they arrived, the hero went to the other side of the room summoning a javelin. The man then said, "Let's spar a little. I'll even give a one-minute advantage to land a blow on me."
A vein throbbed on the boy's forehead as he felt that he was being underestimated. The boy yelled, "Ok, but don't go home crying after I slash you apart." The boy made two blades from his elbows as he charged toward the old hero trying to strike him, but the man simply stepped to the side leaving one foot outstretched causing the boy to fall and stumble down.
The hero-in-training stood up with a scowl, "Cheap move, old man. A cheap move." The boy jumped into the air and began rotating around himself in a buzzsaw motion aimed at the hero.
Once he was near him, the hero simply moved his weapon in a circular motion breaking the boy's form and causing him to fall to the ground.
The man looked at his watch and said, "Well, the minute's up time for some actual fighting."
The mantis-looking boy jumped away as the hero used his weapon to try and hit him. the man then aimed the weapon toward the boy's chest which the boy responded by making a blade for the side of his elbow blocking the weapon. The boy then charged as he swung his blade toward the old man, but was blocked by the man's weapon.
The two continued to exchange blows as the hero was mostly taking the lead giving the boy almost no openings. Kamakiri at this point was getting really frustrated due to the lack of hits.
The man then jumped away as he held the weapon and began swinging it making air slashes and making the boy jump back as he tried to avoid the blasts. He was also forced to use his blades which acted as a shield as he tried to counter the attacks.
The fight lasted for 10 more minutes before decided to put the boy out of his misery and knock him down, "Good, good, you have good skills in using these blades of yours."
The boy responded, "Pity that I didn't use a blade attack." The boy remembers how he failed to even use it once.
The old man patted him on the head saying, "All in due time young man. Now, get some rest so I can teach you where you went wrong when we fought." The boy gave him a nod before sitting and drinking some water.
The boy looked at the trash bin before throwing the empty water bottle in it, "Yeah, this is going to be interesting."
Back at the orphanage, Bakugo moved around as he helped the owner around doing some work cooking food, but the worst of it all; all the kids still saw him in an unfavorable light. He was told by his zombie of a teacher that all of the kids have suffered in some way or another due to their quirkless nature, either being abused at home, bullied at school, or abandoned by their families. The boy couldn't help but feel bad, even though he tried to ignore a voice that told him that he practically did the same thing with Izuku.
'No, this is different. I'm the next number-one hero. De… Midoriya was just standing in my way, I had to put him in his place.' He remembered his father asking how Izuku exactly stood in his way. He remembered his dad telling him that he was disappointed. He sat down as he tried to understand why did he try to put Izuku in his place because if he knew why he did it, then he will somehow know who was responsible for his situation.
He then heard shouting noises as there was a fight. He followed it to a park near the orphanage and saw the boy from yesterday fighting a bunch of kids with their quirks active. What shocked him the most was the quirkless runt was actually winning.
A guy, who had a hardening quirk like shitty hair, tried to punch the boy only for the smaller kid to grab him and twist his arm sending him into another guy with a fire quirk who was aiming a fireball at him. the fireball hit the hardened boy who also slammed into the fire quirk user.
Another one with some type of gravity quirk tried to take control of him only for the boy to use his new weightless state to pretend that he was flying toward the boy only for him to throw a stick at the gravity boy when he stopped him. the stick hit the boy which let the kid go and he fell to the ground taking out another one.
In the end, the boy stood in front of the kids with his fist raised, "Does anyone want to bully me or my friend anymore?" the bullies all stood up vowing to get him and teach him his place as the boy walked off to a tree saying, "Mui, come out it's safe now."
A boy with long black hair came from behind the tree and had scraps and tears in his eyes as he cried, "I'm sorry, Hiro. It's my fault that you got hurt."
He was flicked on the forehead as the kid said, "don't say that. we're friends, and we're planning to become the first quirkless hero duo in the world, or Japan at least."
The boy then noticed someone watching them and yelled, "Oi, durian boy, why don't you take a picture? I'm sure that it will last longer. Dumbass quirked bastard."
Bakugo smirked as he walked forward to the boys with the long-haired one squeaking in fear. When Bakugo was in front of them, he introduced themselves, "hey twerp, if I were you I'd be careful, you're talking to the next number one hero him…" Bakugo was cut off as he felt an intense pain in his pride causing him to fall over and clutch his manhood.
Hiro then said, "Come on, Mui. Let's go and train. We don't have time for quirked bastards. At least showoffs like him."
Bakugo although in pain, couldn't help but admire the kid as he said, "This kid has some skills."
He then heard a voice behind him, "Hiro Kitetsu and Mui Shigeru. Both came to the orphanage at the same time. Hiro is the muscle of the operation and Mui is the brains of it even though he gets scary when he's serious. Both of them are planning to become heroes. Did you take interest in Hiro?"
The boy replied, "He reminds me of myself. He got spunk." The boy stood as he flinched at the pain in his future. He hoped there was no permanent damage. "Though, I don't think that they'll ever be able to be heroes. It's not out of hate or anything, but quirks are the basics of heroics…"
"What about people with quirks that aren't about combat? Mandalay is a hero who has a quirk that sends one-way mental messages to anyone in her radius, but she's successful. What's the difference between them?" the boy was quickly silenced.
"Did you read 'Superman' as I told you?" the man asked causing the boy to smile.
"Fuck, yeah." The boy exclaimed, "Even for an old-time comic, it's amazing. The guy is a tank that can never be beaten. He's like the All Might of the comic books." The man shook his head as the boy mistook the one thing he wanted to learn, "What else did you learn from the comic?"
Bakugo shrugged; he saw a hero beating villains. That was it. the man then asked him, "Tell me, what was the first video All Might debuted in?"
Bakugo looked at him and said, "It was a train wreckage video. Man, it was awesome."
The man smiled, "Do you know what that video was all about?"
Bakugo looked at him like he grew another head, "It was a rescue video. Man, he was holding many people like they were a sack of potatoes…" he stopped for a minute before asking, "Where are getting at?"
The man responded with a calm smile, "Don't you agree that All Might always prioritize the safety of civilians instead of fighting the villains?" Bakugo looked away but nodded. The man carried on, "Also same thing with Superman?" Bakugo nodded again.
"And that's why, you will never make a good hero, Bakugo. It's because you don't feel the need to save people. You'd rather let them die in favor of fighting." The man said angering the boy.
Bakugo yelled, "What the fuck do you mean? I'm going to be the next number one hero, and I can't allow a bunch of extras who can't defend themselves to stand in my way…"
The man replied, "See that's why you won't be a good hero. You see innocent people as extras; pebbles in your track to greatness as I was told by your teacher, and I also know you're less than stellar opinion toward quirkless people. at first, I was reluctant to allow you to come here and I wanted to fail automatically."
Bakugo's eyes widened in fear, "But I wanted to give you a chance since everyone deserves one. Believe me when I say that people won't like you if you allow their loved ones to die because you feel the need to beat up the villain and pose over him like a hunter presenting his kills."
The man walked away leaving Bakugo to his thoughts as Hiro watched from the distance with critical eyes.
Back at the Miruko agency, Izuku went to his room and fell in it as he was hardly breathing after a day full of a never-ending marathon of sparing with Miruko. The woman had endless energy that no one can keep up with especially if it involved a fight. She told him that at one point, she was involved in an underground boxing ring and she punched him into a wall, but in the end, she told him that he was getting better.
The boy took a shower and went to his bed. He wanted to sleep here and there but he suddenly felt his phone ringing. When he opened it, he saw he was in a new group chat that read 'THE COOL SQUAD'
THE COOL SQUAD was made by Dino-woman.
Dino-woman added Metal head, mushroom lover, wonder woman, and wannabe All Might
Dino-woman: Good afternoon my friends, so how are the internships so far? Mine was sure tiring.
Wannabe All Might: Setchan, I know that we agreed to talk, but right now I can barely feel my breath. I don't think I have the energy to type.
Mushroom lover: Izuku, you seemed really tired. I can't say I'm much better Green Peace is a real slave driver when it comes to hand-to-hand combat and quirk application. I feel that I'm about to die
Dino-woman: Come on, let's just talk for a couple of minutes.
Wonder woman: Come on Set, I'm tired I can't feel my fists. Gunhead is really tiring. Ochako, Yui, and I kept sparring with him and each other all day. I can barely stand. By the way, Ochako and Yui say hello and wish you good luck in your internships.
Dino-woman: Come on, I'm tired too, but I want to catch up. And also who is interning with Izuchan? You promised to tell us so speak. I need to know
Dino-woman's message was highlighted by wonder woman, mushroom lover, and Metalhead
Izuku sighed as he began to text back to his curious friends.
Wannabe All Might: I currently interning with number 6 hero Miruko.
Dino-woman: Oh
Mushroom Lover: My
Metalhead: God
Wonder woman: YOU'RE INTERNING WITH MIRUKO! SHE'S LIKE MY IDOL. PLEASE, MIDORIYA, I BEG YOU BRING FOR ME SOMETHING SIGNED BY HER.
Everyone at their respective internship was shocked by Kendo's fangirl side.
Wonder woman: I mean if you can do it, but it's not a great deal.
Wannabe All Might: I'll try, but given that the woman likes to tease me as much as Setchan; I highly doubt that I'll be able to get it without having a heart attack from her never-ending teasing.
Wonder woman sent an emoji of a teary-eyed face with a small puppy face beside it
The boy sighed as he began typing
Wannabe All Might: Alright, I'll ask her tomorrow after our morning routine. The woman really likes to make me do a hard workout. She used me as a personal punching bag. We kept sparring till I couldn't move anymore and even then I was forced to fight back.
Metalhead: Man, you're so lucky. Fourth Kind made me and Kirishima from 1-A pick up trash all day long or make tea for the clients that visited the agency.
Dino-woman: Hahahaha, Izuchan told you to go with Fatgum, but you insisted that you needed to go and see the manly hero.
Metalhead sent an emoji of a sad face and an angry face
Metalhead: I know, and I'm already regretting it.
Wannabe All Might: Don't feel bad Tetsu. I'm sure that you'll be able to do something useful during this internship.
The boy looked at the clock.
Wannabe All Might sent an emoji of a sleepy-looking face
Wannabe All Might: I'm going offline and I hope you do too.
Dino-woman: Don't you guys da…
Wannabe All Might left the chat
Wonder woman left the chat
Metalhead left the chat
Mushroom lover left the chat
Dino-woman: they actually left. Man, they're no fun.
Dino-woman left the chat
Izuku was now getting ready for the 3rd day of his internship as Miruko requested him to get into his hero suit and wait for her at the door of the agency. The boy was toward the door to exit it but stopped. He cracked the door slowly and looked around to make sure that no rabbits were getting ready to kick his ass.
Once he exited the agency, he saw Miruko waiting for him in the distance. Once he walked to her, she said with an excited smile, "Good, you're ready. Today, we're going to do the practical stuff." The woman looked toward a building as she said, "You can use your quirk and try to catch up."
The woman then began to jump toward the building as Izuku activated OFA at the highest percentage he can muster which was 15%. The woman then jumped high in the sky above everyone else as Izuku followed her using his new gloves. He used the air force blasts as jets to propel him in the air.
Once the hero saw him, she smiled, "Good, now let's land on that building so we can talk."
The boy nodded as he flew higher and higher till he was above the building's roof. Once he needed to land, he used his air blasts to soften his landing as Miruko said, "I bet that you needed to give this some serious work." The boy nodded remembering his training at school and Mina.
Miruko carried, "Ok, look kid. One of your quirk usage problems is that you feel stiff using it, right?" the boy nodded, "Okay, so the solution is to use it constantly and for longer periods, so your body can naturally get accustomed to it."
The boy nodded his head as the hero added, "And if you find a criminal, beat him up. And take him to the police." She then wrote something and gave it to him, "this is a paper of permission to use your quirk freely so you won't get in terrible."
The boy nodded as the rabbit heroine readied herself saying, "And regarding catching villains, catch some if you can beat me." she said jumping from one building to the other saying, "Catch up, squirt."
The boy shook his head as he began following the heroine from one building to the other as the woman tried to lose him. during their small race. The boy tried to fight villains but wasn't able since Miruko would always beat him to the punch.
Half the day was gone as the boy followed the rabbit hero from one place to the other with the woman taunting him nonstop for being a slow poke.
The boy right now has already lost the trail of the woman, and he was jumping from one building to another to find it. It was like finding a needle inside a barn of hay.
As he was jumping from one building to another, he heard a scream coming from an alleyway. The boy walked to the edge of the roof and saw 5 men holding two girls as hostages.
The boy jumped from the top of the building taking everyone by surprise as he landed a kick on one of the men holding one of the girls and said for her, "Get back." The girl didn't need to be told twice as he backed away.
One of the men then activated a black fire quirk and aimed at Izuku who quickly grabbed the girl and jumped away taking her to a safe place. The hero-in-training looked at her smiling, "Don't worry, I'll bring your friend pretty soon." The boy then went back to the scene and sent a message to Miruko that he needed help.
As he returned, the man with the black flames saw him and blasted it at him, but the boy jumped high in the air and clapped both his hand at 5% at him causing a small shockwave, "New Jersey Smash" the man was sent flying into the wall knocking him out.
A second man came and tried to punch him, but Izuku ducked and kicked him in the side sending him into a wall. Izuku was shocked as the man stood up smiling; the boy decided that he has some sort of shock absorption or durability quirk, but Izuku saw someone with a spike quirk charging at him so he jumped high allowing the man to hit the second one causing him to scream in pain as Izuku descending hitting him in the head hard enough bypassing his quirk's defenses. He then made quick work of the other one.
He then heard someone yelling, "Forget about the second one. We have what we need."
He then heard the sound of a car roaring. The boy went out of the alleyway and saw a red van speeding away. The boy reported this to Miruko and called the police to the three thugs' place as he followed the van.
He waited for the perfect moment and leaped onto the van's top punching its roof and opening it wide causing both villains' eyes to go wide as he grabbed the girl and took her away in mere moments. Once Izuku was sure the girl was safe, he followed the van which slowed down considerably. The boy followed them, and then kicked it causing the van to finally stop as the door exploded with a man how to grow gorilla arms charged at him.
The boy looked at him and grabbed his arms and threw an air blast which hit him square in the chest sending him flying inside the van's backdoor and knocking him out.
"Stop," the final guy said with a smirk as he held a small child hostage, "You're going to let me go or else this boy will get it…" Izuku shifted his feet and silently allowed a small smoke bomb to fall from his belt he picked up earlier and it activated filling the air with thick smoke.
The villain didn't see or feel anything till he felt something hit him in the back and then an electric shock flowed through him causing him to blackout.
When the smoke cleared, the child was standing by Izuku who was tying up the villain using a rope he had on him for such a case. He wondered where the boy came from, but he then saw his friends with a ball looking at him in shock so he ushered for the boy to go to them, but the young one stopped as he asked, "How are young mister hero?"
Izuku smiled, "I'm the Viridian Guardian. The hero that will save everyone." Flashes filled everywhere as he felt someone behind him. he looked and saw police coming up to him with Miruko who slapped him upside the head saying, "What's wrong with you? You made me worried."
Izuku blinked, "You're the one who said to beat you to the villains, and I did call for you and the police. It's not my fault that you were slow." The woman smirked as she grabbed his head and rubbed it saying, "Well played brat."
They then went to a café to eat and rest for a while.
Back in Hosu city, Iida was currently looking around carefully for signs of the hero killer as his mentor said, "You know something, Iida. I have to say that I'm still quite shocked that you came to my agency and accepted my request. I thought you'd go with more known heroes."
The boy replied in the usual manner, "Nonsense Manual, you are a well-respected hero with good skills that can help me further down the line. You may not be known, but you're still an exceptional figure and well-known by the community in this area."
The hero rubbed the back of his head saying, "Well, when you put it that way, I can't help but blush." He suddenly took a more serious tone, "But is it really why you came here?"
The boy looked at him pretending to be confused already knowing where this conservation was leading, "Whatever do you mean, Manual?"
The man sighed, "You came here for Stain, didn't you?" the boy clenched his fist answering the hero's question so the man carried on, "Look, I won't act like I know what this feels like because I don't, but at least hear me out…" the boy looked at him.
"This anger that you're falling is righteous and can be used as a weapon to fight with, but it is a double-edged sword that you need to control because as much as it can help you, it can also destroy you. Don't let control you. Let it go away. Believe me when I say that your brother wouldn't want you to do this."
The boy nodded his head, "Thank you, Manual. I really needed this before I lost myself to my own rage."
The hero smiled, "As long as you don't do something that you won't regret, then I'm happy…" he then apologized, "And sorry for bringing up your brother. I know it must be a sensitive subject for you."
The boy shook his head as he said, "Nonsense. I'm sure that you meant well." The boy turned away as his thoughts swirled back to the hero killer, 'I really want to get rid of this hate, but I simply can't. I don't know what to do with it. only ending the hero killer's reign of terror will satisfy it.'
Back with Bakugo, the boy frowned as his ninth attempt to meet with Hiro ended with the same result the boy slipping away. The little guy reminded him so much of himself when he was younger, but he hated him with passion.
But he was in the park with the caretaker, he watched as the same group of bullies surrounded him and were trying to get the upper hand till one with crocodile skin cornered the boy smirking, "So lookie what so got here, a quirkless runt. Any last words?"
"Yeah…" they looked at him as he yelled, "Now, Mui." The long-haired boy came upon them with a wooden stick and struck them hard causing them to yell in pain as he and Hiro contained to beat them.
The two boys walked away satisfied as the caretaker said to Bakugo, "If you want to get on his good side, stop trying to force yourself on him. believe when I say, he's your key to success here."
Bakugo looked confused, "What do you mean?"
"Did you ever wonder why the kids avoid you like the plague?" the boy nodded his head, "Well, Hiro can read lips, and he saw your last fight with Izuku, was it?" Bakugo's eyes widened. "When I told them that you were coming, he told everyone not to trust you since you're nothing but a jerk. The key to gaining his trust is to show him that you can change as much as it is hard to believe."
Bakugo then went for a walk as he said, "Peachy, my whole career is now in one kid's hands." He smiled a little, "Well, it could've been worse I suppose. I mean it could've been in the hag's hands."
During the fourth day of the internship, Izuku spent most of his day in the agency doing random stuff with Miruko since she wanted to take him on a night patrol to Hosu city given that she was put on hunting duty for the hero killer plus she wanted to show him hero work in the night, so it was a win-win type of situation.
As they exited the building, she looked at him and said in a serious voice, "Listen here and listen good, you are not to fight the hero killer unless your life or someone else's depended on it, got it? other than those two cases, you are to report to me immediately."
The boy nodded his head, "Yes, ma'am." The rabbit hero nodded as they went to Hosu.
Meanwhile at Hosu, on a water tower, a patrol appeared with Shigaraki exiting it with three monsters similar to the one in the USJ. One was muscular and had black skin. Another was long and had thin arms with a light blue color. The last one was small and had avian features.
The masked man then yelled, "Go, my Nomus. Fill this city with terror." The three monsters then began their attack as Tomura said, "Tonight, they'll see the weakness of their heroes and our strength."
