Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right
Minutes before the attack, the people in Hosu were having a normal afternoon. People were sitting inside cafes drinking coffee, couples were walking on the streets taking pictures with each other, and children were playing with each other having fun.
Heroes were patrolling the street as they normally did. One hero, in particular, was in utmost vigilance; Endeavor was looking around with a frown on his face. He only hoped that he can encounter Stain or that his masterpiece would encounter the hero killer himself and be forced to use his fire. He knew on some level that sending his son on what looked like a suicide mission was a bad idea, but Shoto was practically the next number hero, so he can't be taken down by some low-bid assassin. The man looked at his son, "Listen, Shoto. Stay vigilant, because we're on a mission to take out the hero killer."
Shoto had a blank expression on his face, "Yeah…" he tried to walk a little bit faster than his dad, but the man grabbed him and pulled him back as the boy sneered, "Nothing like a death mission to keep you steady and stop you from shouting."
The man tightened his grip on the boy's shoulder, "Listen here, Shoto. You are going to use those flames that I gave you, and I'm sure that an encounter with the hero killer will make them come out." the man let him go as he walked forward with some of the hero's sidekicks giving out disturbed looks hearing what the man said.
Shoto replied hotly, "There is no way that I'm going to use your flames, and I will become a hero with only my mom's side, and I'll start by defeating the hero killer by only using mom's ice."
The man looked at his son and scoffed, "We'll see about that Shoto. You'll be the first person to experience the shortcomings of your ice side and its limitations, and then you'll be forced to use the power that I gave you and accept your fate as my perfect creation and follow in my footsteps."
The boy clenched his fists looking away, "I will never walk in your footsteps. I will make my own destiny, and hopefully, you'll be out of it and far away from it."
The hero scoffed as he saw his son walk past him with a determined expression on his face, "That boy will have to accept his destiny sooner or later. It's only a matter of time." He looked at his shell-shocked sidekicks and yelled, "And what the hell are you clowns looking at? An invitation? Get back to work, and keep your eyes open."
The sidekicks nodded their heads as they ran to do their jobs and keep an eye out for the hero killer as one of them said, "I should have really listened to my mom and became a lawyer."
Another one replied, "Keep it down before he makes us wipe the agency's training grounds."
The flame hero scoffed at the two sidekicks and was about to yell at them for slacking off while on the job, but suddenly a huge explosion occurred, "What in the world?"
Back with Izuku, the boy followed Miruko across the roofs as they both jumped from one building to another toward Hosu city. The boy looked at the heroine as she said, "Remember what we talked about kid. You can use your quirk as freely as you want. This night is not just about hunting the hero killer. It's also about gaining experience regarding night patrols and their patterns."
The boy nodded his head, "Yes, Miruko. I'll do my best tonight and I'll try to help as best as possible…" the woman then looked at him as he added, "And if I see the hero killer, I'll ignore him, and won't fight him unless it's extremely necessary." The woman nodded her head in acceptance.
A couple of minutes later they managed to Hosu. Both stood at a top of a building as Izuku looked with wonder in his eyes. The woman patted him on the back, "Nice scene, isn't it? reminds me of my time when I used to kick someone's ass in the underground fighting ring and came up to the top of the building and watched the stars."
Izuku sweat-dropped at the mention of the underground fighting ring as he asked himself mentally, 'How in the world did this woman ever get her hero license? It should be impossible…'
The woman slapped him upside the head, "Hey, I will have you know that I paid the time for my wrongdoings. Don't be such a stick in the mud. All people have their rebellious phase."
The boy blushed as he knew that he muttered his thoughts out loud with the woman now saying, "Okay, now we'll start our patrol from the area around the train road and we'll go from there."
The boy gave her an affirmative as the two jumped from the building they were on, and moved toward the train road. Once they were there, the two looked as the train passed by, but suddenly Izuku nudged Miruko and asked her, "Does that thing have a flying license?"
The woman looked at what the boy was pointing at, only to see a flying monstrosity heading toward the train as a huge explosion echoed in the distance. The woman looked at the thing and told Izuku, "Help me keep that thing away from the train, and then go help people around."
The heroine and hero-in-training jumped at the best as Izuku yelled, "Alright, let's try this new move out…" the boy powered up his quirk to 18% and yelled, "Shoot Style: Air Force" the boy threw a side kick sending harsh winds toward the creature pushing it away from the train as Miruko smiled and said, "Good job, kid. Now leave the rest to me."
The rabbit heroine jumped high in the air as she came down on the flying beast, "Lunar Kick"
The beast was sent barreling to the ground as it smashed into it, but against both of their expectations, the monster merely shrugged off their attacks before flying away.
Izuku then said, "He must have enhanced durability like the Nomu from the USJ."
The woman nodded her head, "Right, enhanced durability, but I can tell that this thing doesn't have any type of super strength like the one at the USJ, or else it would have punched back and not flown away from us."
The hero hummed for a moment before adding, "Look, you go around helping people, and I'll follow birdie over there and make sure it doesn't harm anyone that comes in contact with it."
The hero boy nodded his head as the woman hopped away following the Nomu as Izuku began to dash across the streets trying to help as many people as possible. He was mostly stuck saving people from fires and guiding them, but it was all in a hero's work, so he didn't complain too much about the lack of action.
The boy was now in the middle of the death zone when he saw a couple tried inside a car with a lanky-looking Nomu standing over it. the boy looked at it as he activated his quirk 18% and jumped from one wall to the other and yelled, "Manchester Smash". The boy then kicked in the head causing the creature to slam up first into the ground.
The boy quickly punched the beast across the face sending it flying away before he quickly opened the car's door and took the couple out as the male yelled, "What about my car?"
The boy replied, "Sir, believe me when I say that your health is way more important than your car. I'm sure that your insurance can cover it." the boy then took the couple to safety as the man grumbled something about his insurance not covering monster attacks.
The boy put them in a safe place as he quickly returned to surveying the streets as he tried to help as many people as possible. He reached a building where the fire has engulfed it and saw firefighters struggling with it. he asked the firemen, "I'm Viridian Guardian, a hero-in-training. How can I help?"
One of the firemen looked at him and said, "Well if you can get the girl stuck on the second floor. That will be good." The boy looked at the flame that engulfed the building and gave a wind attack at 2% clearing some of the flames before he ran to the second floor.
The boy noticed that the stairway was giving away as he used the walls as a bouncing pad to get from one place to the other till he reached the second floor and yelled keeping his head down to avoid the smoke, "Hey, are you here?"
He heard a voice reply to him, "I'm trapped. Please save me. I'm really afraid." The boy frowned since the voice clearly belonged to a small child.
He then began to carefully trek through the entire place to locate the girl and finally save her. the hero-in-training walked through the floor toward the apartment. He managed to break the door open and walked toward the girl's room.
The boy knocked the door away as he saw an eight-year-old girl clenching a small All Might plushy as she shivered in fear. The boy kneeled and smiled at her, "It's alright. You're going to be safe." He extended his hand toward the girl and said, "Now, come on, let's take you to your mother…"
"Komi, my name's Komi. I'm really afraid." The girl ran toward him and hugged him as he patted her back. The boy then grabbed her. he walked over to her and used her bedsheets to make a makeshift carrier. He put the girl in it and said, "Hold me tight now."
The boy walked to a window opening it. he then jumped out and used his air force to soften his landing. The boy looked around till he saw a woman looking around frantically. The boy approached her and said, "Miss, I believe this is your daughter. I'm sorry that I can't stay any longer."
The boy handed her the girl as he quickly ran away after talking for a moment with the firemen making sure that he doesn't need any more help. The boy received thanks for his efforts and he went on his way to help others in the burning-down city.
The boy stumbled into many people along his way, and along with other heroes on the scene managed to help them. The boy mentally said, 'I guess that this night couldn't get any worse than it is…' he suddenly felt a chill travel down his spine.
The hero-in-training carried on his way not knowing the huge amount of craziness that he was about to be in the center of it or the huge headache that he'll cause his mentor on this little internship.
On a water tower in Hosu, Shigaraki stood with Kurogiri looking at the chaos that was unfolding down as the man, "Isn't this amazing, Kurogiri? All this chaos will make them fear the league of villains. It will make us tremble in fear of our name."
The mist man nodded his head, "Of course, young master. Today will be a day that will go down in history as a reminder of our rise in power."
Shigaraki rubbed his hands together, "Yes, wreak havoc my Nomus. Show those heroes how truly pathetic they are." The man then began to laugh as he noticed a helicopter flying recording everything, the man smiled, "I have a wonderful idea, but for it to work. I just hope the Nomus manages to take out Stain from existence."
In a news helicopter flying in the sky, a woman had a camera pointing toward the city as she said, "This is your local news reporter Yu talking to you. As you can see the entire city of Hosu is currently on fire and according to our sources on the ground, there is some type of weird monsters causing havoc and destruction everywhere."
The cameraman pointed the camera toward the street down as fires were raging on, and heroes were scurrying around trying to control the situation as much as possible, "Heroes are currently trying to gain control of the situation and…"
Back on the ground, the white thin Nomu that Izuku fought was currently fighting off a couple of heroes as they tried to stop him; a hero with an earth manipulation quirk sent two pillars of stone slamming into the beast's chest, but it stood back up and attacked him only to be stopped by a strong blast of flames from the flame hero.
The man looked at it and said, "Go down, you monstrous freak show." The hero slammed his fist into its gut as he exploded fire from it causing a whole t from inside it and the monster fell over.
The hero looked around and said, "Keep together people. There are still two of them walking around. We can't let a simple monster like this throw us off our game."
The heroes quickly scurried around to try and save people as a huge roar echoed around. The flame hero looked and saw a black muscly Nomu standing in the distance. The hero flew toward it and burned it with his fire causing it to most of its limbs. The man smiled at his handy work for a little…
…but the Nomu suddenly regenerated all of them taking him by surprise. The beast then charged at him, but the man jumped upward sending another burst of flames scorching the beast's back, but the thing kept attacking nonetheless.
The hero finally growing bored with this grabbed the Nomu's head and said, "You have a regeneration factor, but it works…" the hero then sent a strong flame of his at its head, "…as long as the cells are there."
The hero burned the thing so hard, his flames turned blue and the monster flew over as the man said, "The cells of this monster are carbonized, so there is no way for it to regenerate."
The hero then heard fighting in the distance as he went toward it not noticing his son slipping away from him as he looked at someone.
The hero killer was not having a good day. Well, he rarely had a good with all those fakes around, but today was something special. The hero was working on getting his next victim when suddenly the gates of hell opened and monsters flew out of it and started attacking everyone.
The man frowned when various heroes came down and instead of helping people, they only posed to the cameras. They made him feel disgusted reminding him of the time when he was a naïve hero student who didn't know any better.
The man looked at his next target as he ran away from a fight and tried to hide from the monsters inside an alleyway. The hero frowned as he muttered under his breath, "That's why I gave up my vigilante career."
The man looked at his prey and allowed him to go deeper into the alleyways and said, "Today is your end, Native. You shall suffer the consequences of your actions." He then held his sword saying, "Everything I do is for the sake of a stronger society."
Iida was not having a very good day. He was still angry at what the hero killer did to his brother. He tried to move and forget, but how can he? It was his own brother who had his life ruined and sentenced to a fate much worse than death itself in his own modest opinion.
Manual had tried to take his mind off things, and he was very grateful for that, but he couldn't just let it go, so whenever the hero talked with him the boy would nod him or just stay silent. In hindsight, he knew that the hero was looking out for him, but he didn't care. He wanted the hero killer to be dead and laying on the ground barely able to breathe.
It was a normal evening patrol when he and Manual walked side by side as the hero talked with him about hero work at night, and how to be able to detect if something seemed out of place even if it was extremely dark with the boy simply humming as he looked around…
…he was beginning to feel that the hero killer has left the city already, so he sighed a little.
The hero looked at him and asked him, "Tenya, is everything fine? Are still thinking about the hero killer?" the boy shook his head as the hero said, "Then what's on your mind?"
The boy stood there frozen like he is a deer that got caught in front of the headlights of a car.
The boy's mouth grew drew as he opened his mouth to answer, "Well, you see…" a huge boom echoed everywhere taking everyone by surprise as Iida looked around in shock and saw flames begin to engulf the city.
"What in the world is happening?" Manual said as he saw something. The man quickly grabbed Iida and tackled him to the ground as a car was sent flying in their direction.
They both looked up and Iida saw something that made the hair on his back stand up from fear. He will always remember those dead-looking eyes. It looked eerily similar to the monster that was in the USJ, if a little bit different.
The boy looked at his mentor and said, "What should we do, Manual?"
The hero hummed for a moment, but the screams of people, the battle cries, and the strong sounds of flames caused him to look at his intern and say, "Listen, Iida. You're going to help save as many people as possible. People are trapped by the flames whether be it in a car or a building, so we need to help them."
The man grabbed the boy's hand and ran with him. they both spent a considerable time helping people whether freeing them from the cars they were trapped in or guiding them out of the battle zone altogether.
The boy in the entire ordeal was able to temporarily forget about the hero killer given that he was in a battle zone, and his mind was occupied by carrying out the orders that he was receiving from his mentor…
Temporarily being the keyword over here. The boy still kept a lookout for Stain and he wanted to get to him, so he can end his reign of terror. The boy was helping an old lady cross the street when he saw it. a shadow dashing through the roofs and going deep into the alleyways.
The boy mentally looked as he put the lady out of danger, and quickly guided her to the evacuation site. The boy then walked away as he looked inside the alleyway. His expression hardened and his eyes looked at the alleyway with pure hatred in his eyes, 'Stain. I'm going to end you.'
The boy bolted inside the alleyway ignoring everything else as he was dead set on his mission to end the hero killer. What he didn't notice was someone else walking behind with a determined expression on his face. 'It was a good idea to go and tail Iida. I have to get to the hero killer to prove to my dad that I don't need his quirk.'
As Todoroki walked into the alleyway, Manual came and said, "Iida, I need your…" the hero looked around and yelled, "Iida, where are you?" he looked around for a bit before assuming the worst and he said, "Damn it, Iida. Why did you have to run?"
Inside the alleyway system, Native, a hero named after his quirk which allowed him to summon animal spirits into his body and use their abilities, was running away for his life. Truth be told, he wasn't exactly the greatest hero in the world.
Just like everyone else, he was taken with awe by All Might's arrival on the scene with heroics. The man wanted to become a hero, though for less idealistic reasons. He wanted to be known and famous among people. He had a flashy quirk, and it was good enough to be recognized.
When he started his hero career, he imagined reaching the top in a couple of months, but he hit a deadlock and couldn't even make it into the 100th place. He was angry and pissed off, so he tried what he could from making more public appearances to trying to be in the spotlight as much as possible, but nothing worked.
But today by far was the worst day of his life, his public relation sector told him that he may rank lower than he was, and then a monster attack on the city add to that, the paranoia of having the hero killer roaming around, and it was an annoying ordeal to deal with.
So he was now running inside the alleyways trying to find a way outside the city. There were a lot of heroes who can pick up his slack, but a noise from behind him made up and turned around.
The man froze as he looked into the dead eyes of the infamous hero killer. The man looked at him as he spoke, "Native, by far you are one of the most disgusting fakes that I ever encountered. Making sure that you only do hero work only when the camera is on, among much other stuff…" the hero pointed his sword toward him, "…tonight, you die, fake."
The man sneered at the hero killer thinking if he took him down, he might increase the public perception of him and with it his ranks in the hero poles, "The only one going down is you."
The hero killer looked at him with a fanatical look of absolute devotion, and some hints of boredom having heard this type of thing many times when he finished or injured many fakes.
The hero yelled, "Totem Spirit: Might of Bear" a spirit of a bear appeared behind him and his muscles bulged. The man ran toward the hero killer, but the serial killer jumped above his head as he readied himself. The hero turned toward his target and ran quickly.
The hero killer meanwhile ran toward Native and both of them clashed with each other. The hero killer ended up with a bruise on his face while Native had a small slash against his leg; however, the slash was causing a lot of bleeding from the hero.
Stain now smiled as he saw the man running toward him, so he threw a knife hitting him in the stomach, and licked his sword, "End of the line, Fake."
The hero although having a knife in the gut was still managing to move and overcome his pain, but suddenly his body froze and he fell over, "What happened? Why can't I move?"
The hero killer looked at him, "That's for me to know and for you to take with you to the grave. Tonight, I'll make sure that you see the light for the last time in your life. Good night, Native."
The hero yelled with anger and frustration, "I'm going to kill you, bastard. Just wait till I can move."
The hero killer scoffed, "Not a very heroic thing to say. Believe me when I say that you won't be missed," the hero killer lifted his sword, "Everything I do is for a better society."
The hero tried to thrash or move his body, but he couldn't move. His entire body felt as if he was put in ice and his body was entirely frozen. The hero looked into the man's eyes as the weight of the situation finally sank on him, and he felt dread sinking in.
The hero killer was about to sink his blade into the hero's neck, but he heard movement coming toward him. the man quickly jumped to the side as he lifted his sword and blocked a kick aimed at his head.
The man looked at his assailant and saw that he was inside an armor that reminded him of another fake that he took out a while ago. The man shook his head, "Who are you? And why are you stopping me from carrying out my mission?"
Iida looked at the hero killer, "You! You're the hero killer, aren't you? I'm sure of it given your clothes and attire."
The hero killer was shocked as the figure came for another attack, but he dodged it and hit Tenya with the butt of his sword causing the helmet he was wearing to fall over and revealing his face, "A child in a suit?" the man shook his head, "Get out of here! This is none of your business."
"Shut up," the boy yelled in anger, "I won't leave this place till I make you pay for what you did to my brother. Remember my name villain, since Ingenium will be the last thing you'll ever hear."
The hero killer's eyes widened for a moment before returning to normal, "I see, so you're just a kid who's in a costume. Go away before you force me to do something, I don't want to." He then added, "As for your brother, he was a fake. He was lucky that he got off with only an injury."
The teen in anger and frustration clenched his fist as he yelled at the hero killer, "How dare you talk about my brother that way?" he wipes the tears from his eyes, "He was one of the greatest heroes out there who helped so many people and saved many others."
the boy then remembered his brother when he saw his brother inside the hospital bed. He was tied to so much equipment as he fought to cling to life. He remembered how his brother asked him to carry on the family hero name and become the new Ingenium…
…but in school, he couldn't take it; at least not at the time. But tonight, he's going to be the person that takes down Stain and be the continuation of the hero name Ingenium.
The hero killer frowned. He saw the look in the boy's eyes; it was that of vengeance. It was unbecoming of a hero, so he sent out a final warning, "Be careful with your next words, boy. Because they might be your last."
The boy looked at him with anger flowing out, "I'll kill you, you monster."
The hero killer then replied, "Then so be it. die, fake hero." The man then attacked the boy with his blade as the boy himself activated his quirk so he sped going for a kick yelling, "For Tensei"
The problem was that Stain managed to easily dodge Tenya's kick, but also managed to trip him causing him to fall to the ground as the hero killer saw a small opening in the boy's armor, so he took advantage of this and stabbed him with his knife in his shoulder.
The boy looked up and saw the hero killer licking the blood on the blade before he felt his body become as heavy as a brick. The boy looked around panicked not understanding what was happening as the hero killer came near him and put his boot on his head as he said, "You are a shame to the name of a hero."
The boy retorted quickly saying, "Shut up. You're nothing, but a killer." The hero killer pressed his foot harder on his head.
The man then said in a deathly voice, "Be quiet, I wasn't finished talking yet." The hero killer then looked to the side and said, "Look over there…"
The boy looked and saw a man leaning against the wall with a knife in his stomach. The man was bleeding and looking at the boy with worry as he said, "Kid, get up and run away from here."
The hero killer scoffed at Iida saying, "You call yourself a hero. Yet you were so thirsty for revenge that you didn't notice that man bleeding away over there…" the hero killer lifted his blade and looked at the boy making fear course through him.
Meanwhile, Iida was thinking, 'How come didn't I see him? was I so focused on my revenge that I didn't even care that he was there, to begin with?' he then saw the hero killer lifting his blade above his head and began to try and move his body, but it wouldn't reply to him, 'No, it can't end here. I need to become a hero for my brother.'
The hero killer said, "I thought that Ingenium going off with an injury will spread the good word, but apparently they didn't work, so go to hell, you fake. Tonight, I'll make sure that Ingenium is over both you and your weak brother."
The boy enraged yelled, "Shut up. Don't you dare talk about my brother. He was an amazing hero…" the boy tried to talk and defend his brother as the man was about to lower his blade into his body killing him for good.
The hero killer all of a sudden jumped away from Iida shocking the bespectacled boy. The boy then felt a chill travel down his spine, and it wasn't fear. It was one that happens from cold. He looked to the side only to see Todoroki standing there with ice emanating from his side.
Iida looked at him and yelled, "Todoroki, what are you doing here? Get out of here. The hero killer is mine to take out. this isn't your fight. Go away. I'm the one who's going to defeat him."
Todoroki looked at him and said as he lifted him and put him at the side of a wall, "Don't flatter yourself so much. I only came here to defeat the hero killer. You just had the benefit of being saved by me as I tried to attack him, and don't talk too much given that you were laying flat on the floor."
The boy then made a small ice wall that had a knife embedded in it. if he had to thank his dad for something, it was his reaction time. 'Guess even a broken clock can sadly be right twice a day.'
The boy looked at the hero killer as he walked toward him ignoring Iida ranting about how he was the one that was supposed to take out the man.
The hero killer looked at him and said, "Another child who came here to hunt me down. There must be something wrong with the hero system if they allow people like you to enter it." he heard everything that the boy said to Iida, and he wasn't impressed.
The boy looked at him and said, "If I wanted the opinion of a murderous lunatic about my life, I would've asked my father for tips for being a hero…" the boy then lowered his head and said, "Listen, just give. I have the stronger quirk here. And I don't want to hurt you too much even though you're a serial killer."
The hero killer frowned, "You're too arrogant, kid. You haven't even checked on the hero that's injured."
Shoto tilted his head as he looked at the hero for a moment before looking at Stain, "I see. I'll get to him once you're down, but for now, I have to beat you with my mom's ice." The boy then released an ice attack toward the hero killer.
The hero killer jumped in the air toward a wall and used it as a platform to jump to another wall. The man weaved through the ice thrown at him and headed toward Shoto as he readied his blade to strike him down.
The boy saw the hero killer approaching and he erected an ice wall beside him blocking the hero killer from reaching him, but he underestimated the hero killer who maneuvered around the ice wall toward the boy who managed to duck under his blade and jump back.
Native who was still trying to cling to consciousness said, "Don't… let… him… cut… you… the blade…"
The boy took the hero's advice and went forward as he erected another ice attack toward the hero killer who dodged it with grace. And then the man ran toward him, but the boy jumped to the side avoiding him as he made ice spikes trying to defeat the hero killer.
Stain weaved through the attacks and used the spikes against the multiple-haired boy's expectations as a platform to attack the hero boy, but the boy ducked under the blade at the last possible moment and avoided having an unwanted haircut.
The hero killer said with some interest, "You have some skills boy, but in the end, we're in my element, so you can't defeat me. the terrain doesn't allow for your usually huge attacks, does it?"
The boy scoffed as he launched another ice attack at the hero killer who dodged it, but now Shoto was presented with a new problem. He was beginning to experience frostbite and it was causing him to become slower and slower as the seconds passed on.
The hero killer noticed it and said, "It would appear that you're reaching your limit with your ice."
The boy scoffed as he looked at him with anger, "I will defeat you using my mom's ice." This confused the hero killer as he couldn't understand what the boy meant by his mom's ice.
He shook his head as he sped toward the boy in a burst of speed taking him by surprise as he directed his blade toward the boy's face to cut him.
Todoroki saw the blade coming near him and he internally panicked causing a small burst of flames to come out of his left side causing the man to jump away finally understanding what the boy meant by using his mother's ice… and boy, did that disgust him.
The hero killer stopped the fight as he looked at Shoto and said, "You're a fake among the never-endless league of fakes. To think, you would use half of your power and be willing to cause so many deaths and pain for so many people."
The boy was now angry, "Shut up. You don't know anything. I will never use his flames in combat. I will be a hero and defeat you with my mom's ice only."
The hero killer then replied, "Then tonight's is the day that you're going to see what happens to those who would throw away people's lives for their own personal drama."
And with that, the two continued their fight, but Shoto could already begin to feel the frostbite biting him in his body and slowly making him weaker as the moments pass. The boy knew that he should use the heat of the second half of his quirk, but he wasn't going to back down from his oath.
Meanwhile back with Izuku, the boy just finished taking two children back to their mom as he saw the white lanky Nomu head toward the center of the city. The boy noticed the flame hero following it.
Izuku kept going deeper into the city, as he saw Manual. The hero was currently busy setting off the flames that were caused by the explosions from the Nomus. Izuku approached the man as he looked at him and yelled, "Please, I need to know if you saw a kid wearing armor around here."
The boy then shook his head and said, "Manual, sir. Can you please tell me how are you looking for so I can help you?" the hero who was busy at the moment stopped and looked at Izuku. He was sweating heavily. It's been a while since he last saw Iida.
The man replied, "He's one of your classmates or one of your students in your class. His name is Tenya Iida."
Recognition came into Izuku's eyes as he nodded his head and said, "Don't worry sir, I'm going to find him as soon as possible." The boy then ran away as he tried to think of where Iida might go off.
The boy walked as he saw a woman about to be crushed by some falling debris. The boy quickly jumped and grabbed her as he used his finger flicks to destroy the falling rubble.
The woman quickly thanked him as he guided her to way out of her, and he returned to the subject at hand trying to find where Iida might he went. The boy was pacing back and forth near an alleyway as he remembered what recently happened with Iida's brother.
The boy's face quickly paled as he gulped and felt a chill go through his spine and he hoped that what he thought isn't true. If Iida actually did it and went after the hero killer, he would've been killed without no hint of remorse given the hero killer's track record.
The boy quickly thought they might be as heard from the alleyway some sounds of fighting. The boy's eyes quickly widened as he remembered that the hero killer's kills or attacks mostly happen inside alleyways or confined spaces, so the boy powered his quirk to 18% and went inside the alleyway following the sound hoping to reach them in time.
Back with Shoto, the boy was now kneeling on the floor as his right side was frosted over as the hero killer approached him slowly. The man looked at him and said, "Go and die, you fake."
The boy feebly lifted his right arm and tried to make ice, but subconsciously caused a small amount of fire to ignite melting some of the ice, but Stain was upon him as he was about to lower his sword down on him, but suddenly a voice yelled, "Step away from him."
Stain looked only to be met by a fist straight to the face causing him to fly away and slam into a wall. Izuku landed down beside Todoroki who heated himself well enough much to his dislike of being forced to use his father's flames, 'I used his flames. Stain's presence was so overwhelming that he forced me to use dad's flames without me knowing it!'
Izuku looked at him and asked him, "Todoroki, are you alright? Did he manage to get you somewhere? Do you need help?" the boy looked around and saw Native who was unconscious at this point.
The boy gaped at the hero's state, "I'm fine, Midoriya. You can go now. I have everything under control. Take Iida and Native with you, so they won't be in my way anymore." The boy said as he stood up though he was still shaking from the frostbite. Even though he managed to heat himself, it was only to take off the frostbite from his body.
Izuku looked at him with a deadpan face as he said, "Can you please sit down, Todoroki? You clearly shaking, and stop trying to defeat the hero killer. It's insanity personified."
Todoroki tried to reply, but Stain cut him off, "Another kid came here. The first one was for revenge the second was for a hunt to prove a useless point. What is your reason?"
Izuku felt a shiver travel through him as he steeled himself, "I came here to save my classmate from you, but I didn't think I have to save another, but I will stop you and make sure that you won't hurt them or the hero back there."
Iida yelled from the side, "Shut up. Midoriya, Todoroki, go away from here. This isn't your fight. This is mine. This is none of your business."
To Iida, he was the one supposed to beat and take down the hero killer, not those two. "Todoroki, just go away. I don't need your help. And Midoriya, we're not even friends leave this place."
Izuku looked at him and said, "I don't need to be your friend to help you. A hero saves everyone regardless of their relationship. A hero's job is to interfere in people's business even if they don't want to."
The hero killer in the distance smiled with a sick grin, "Finally, a true hero." Everyone looked at him as he carried on his rant, "…you have the potential to be one of the greatest heroes. You have the creed of a true hero." The man then smiled as he added, "But I have to test your resolve."
The man then dashed toward Izuku trying to stab him, but the boy dodged under the blade at the last possible moment as he heard Iida yell, "Don't let him stab you. His quirk has something to do with it."
Stain jumped in the air as he pushed himself along a wall toward Izuku who jumped to the side before aiming an air blast toward the killer. However, an ice wall formed between them blocking the hit.
Izuku looked with shock evident on his face at Shoto who held a blank expression on his face as ice particles were radiating off him, "What the heck? Why did you block my attack?"
The boy scoffed, "You got in my way. I was about to freeze him." Izuku didn't know if the boy was doing this out of spite or not, but he didn't have time to think as the hero killer burst out of the shattered ice and swung his blade toward him.
The boy ducked and did a side kick hitting the man in the abdomen causing him to fly to the side before steadying himself, "You truly have potential, kid. You have the seeds to become a great one." The hero killer moved toward Izuku as he jumped and flipped over a bunch of ice sent at him by Todoroki who was getting annoyed at being manhandled so easily.
The hero killer jumped above Izuku and threw a bunch of ninja stars at the boy who jumped to the side, but the hero killer came toward him swinging a small blade, but the boy ducked under it before sending one of Mei's weapons toward the hero killer.
The hero killer felt something attached to him followed by a huge shock of electricity that traveled throughout his body stunning him before he stopped for a moment and got punched in the gut sending him smashing against the wall of the alley.
The boy looked at the hero killer who was slumped against a wall and slowly tried to move toward Native to make sure that he was still alive, but the hero killer suddenly burst from his position and went flying toward Izuku.
The boy jumped from the man's warpath and away from his blade.
The hero killer was then attacked by a wave of ice which he avoided as he looked at Todoroki. He managed a pattern with the boy and noticed the huge amount of ice that was forming. The boy was favoring large-scale attacks but was only restraining himself due to the presence of the others.
Stain knew that he needed to take the boy out. the man quickly made his toward Todoroki lifting his blade as he sent it flying toward the boy, but he was met by a yell, "Texas Smash"
The hero killer was forced to jump aside to avoid the throw, but he also made sure not to waste the opportunity. He used a small blade of his to cut Izuku without the boy even knowing at the leg.
The hero killer smiled at Izuku, "You are worth keeping alive, unlike those fakes…" he then lifted his blade toward his mouth and licked off the blood on it, "…but I managed to get you."
Izuku saw what the hero killer made as he felt his body become heavier and he fell limp to the ground.
The hero killer then looked at Todoroki and said, "Let's take you out of the equation first, so you won't bother me anymore." The hero killer ran toward him as Shoto raised an ice wall, but the hero killer made his way around it and managed to stab him.
Izuku yelled, "Todoroki, burn the blood off the blade before he licks it. that's how his quirk works. He needs to ingest the blood." The boy hearing the new information only sent an ice attack which Stain avoided as Izuku yelled, "What did you do?"
Stain licked the blood before Shoto could even reply as Stain answered Izuku's question, "He let his own pity and self-hatred blind him, so much that he preferred to allow his own allies to die and to let others suffer just so he can prove something, he knows that is wrong, so now he will suffer for that…" the hero killer was upon Todoroki who felt a huge amount of fear sweep through his system.
The hero killer then said with little empathy in his voice, "Bygone fake." The blade went down and Shoto closed his eyes, but he then heard a voice of metal clashing against metal.
He opened his eyes and saw Kamakiri from class 1-B stopping Stain's blade as the bug boy replied, "You're lucky that I arrived just in time stutter, or that my mentor already was investigating something in Hosu city, and took me along with him."
Izuku sighed in relief as reinforcements arrived just in time.
Earlier, after Izuku finished electrocuting Stain and sent him into a wall, the boy discreetly sent a message of his location with a danger emoji to everyone he knows and hoped that he missed his mom's number. 'I just hope the message reaches everyone in time.'
In the countryside, Kinoko was having dinner with her mentor when her phone buzzed with a message from Izuku. The girl read it and showed it to her mentor who seemed concerned a lot. The woman decided to send a call to heroes in the region only to have her mentor's face pale. What her mentor told her next made her feel afraid for her friend.
In Edgeshot's agency, Setsuna sat in front of the T.V. after she had a very successful mission with her mentor stopping a small drug trafficking ring. She was satisfied with her work. She opened the T.V. to the news only to be shocked to see that Hosu was on fire and was attacked by some weird monsters giving her memories of the USJ. She then received a message from Izuku. The girl read it and her blood went cold.
Tetsu was in his room after a long day of slaving away with Fourth Kind. The boy received a message from Izuku that made him feel a little bit uncomfortable, so he reported it to the hero.
In Gunhead's dojo, Kendo and Yui looked at both of their phones with worry as they saw Izuku's message. They could only hope that he didn't get himself in so much trouble.
Kamakiri was beside his mentor inside the flaming Hosu city when his phone went off. The boy looked at it and his eyes widened. First, he needed to know where stutter got his phone number from, and second, he knew that the boy was in danger. He was lucky that his mentor permitted him to use his quirk.
The bug boy quickly made a mad run toward the location hoping that he makes it on time.
Izuku then yelled, "Kamakiri, watch from him. if he cuts you and licks your blood, he will paralyze you."
The boy smiled, "Stay calm, stutter. Only iron can beat iron, and only a sword can beat a sword. You're lucky that I was in town, or else you'd been creamed."
The hero killer looked at the bug boy and said, "Another child. Tell me, are you a fake?"
Kamakiri scoffed, "Listen, here. I don't care what you think about me. I don't want your approval or anyone else's. you go down tonight, hero killer."
