A family happily lives in a mansion far from the common folk, the children there are playing hide and seek with happy smiles as their mother watches from afar drinking tea. Her guards take care not to allow the children to stray far from them.
The head butler on the other hand smiles as he watches them play, he views these children quite fondly, as he was there for his lord when the lord was a child and sees the lords' children as his grandchildren. All the while the head butler's wife, the head maid, attends to the mother, as his son follows the lord in his duties.
Standing at a distance, the youngest of the children attempts to hide in one of the bushes, but his older brother pushes him away whispering, "Not here Rasmus, this is my spot, hide somewhere else."
Rasmus with tears in his eyes, looks around, and runs deeper into the garden, while the guard keeps distance as he follows, to ensure the young lords are not discovered because of them. Rasmus hearing his oldest brother counting in the distance, runs even deeper, as his sisters have long hidden away.
The head butler smiles as he sees youngest struggling to find a hiding spot, when one of the guards exclaims in fear. He turns away from the children and sees the guard pointing to the sky. He sees a storm coming towards them from the distance, and orders the guards to secure the family, fear fills them all with dread as the mother yells at her children to come inside as quickly as possible.
The children are frightened by their reactions, and run, but the youngest was too far at that time to hear them. The guard following him luckily hears the commotion and calls Rasmus back.
Rasmus turned to the guard but doesn't know why he shows such a face, confused on why he was called, he feels something else calling to him. Rasmus looks up into the air and sees the dark clouds quickly covering the sky. He also sees far in the distance, black smoke billowing from the town.
Once again something called his name, he feels something in that black sky calling to him, as goosebumps overwhelm him. Something horrifying was watching him, as the guard notices him standing still in fright.
The guard quickly grabs him, running back as the head butler runs towards them. The guard quickly hands Rasmus to him, as the children are rushed into the house, the rest of the guard's shove furniture in front of the windows, as the maids open heavy metal doors to the basement. Everyone runs inside, as cold wind fiercely begins to assault the mansion. The head butler, and the guard finally reach the mansion at that time, as the wind almost knocks them down with such force.
They recover quickly as they run inside as the rest of the guards slam the doors shut behind them. Knowing what was to come, they quickly shove the heaviest cabinet in front of the door, as the storm rages on outside.
Windows shatter from the force of the wind, as everyone's hair begins to rise up, an odd smell overwhelms them, as the fear in their faces at what was to come causes them to shed tears.
The maids' faces covered in tears as well show their determination as they quickly bring the head butler inside. The guard following the head butler sees his own wife near the door, knowing full well what was to happen, he quickly pushes them inside, as the guard's wife begs him to come in, but he refuses.
The guard uses all his strength to slam the doors shut, but as he closes them shut, a bright light engulfs his comrades behind him, knowing his end was near, he smiles at her from the crack in the door as it closed, as Rasmus looked at him, stunned by what was happening.
Rasmus sees the guard looking at the maid, as the door was closing, tears streamed down as fear, and determination showed in the guard face as he smiled, just as they had shown on the maids before he pushed them in. Even as everything was happening, as he heard the maid screaming, as everything felt slow to Rasmus at that time, as he saw the bright light behind the guard cover the rest of the guards, as they screamed in terror. Rasmus could only stare seeing everything that happened.
Rasmus saw the power of the light blow their bodies apart, as fires quickly spread in unison wherever it touched. Even while the doors were closing, he could see those yet to die using their bodies to push against the furniture. The light spread, as it touched them all one by one before it finally hit the guard in front of him. Their faces, and the face of the last guard was burned into his eyes, but the light was not done. He heard his name, as the light reached towards him, the last fragment touching his face as the door finally closed.
Rasmus heard his mother scream as he was hit by the light, the sound of an explosion right after throwing him and the head butler off the stairs. The maids beside him tried to save them, but as the head butler flew down with Rasmus, everything became silent to them all.
Rasmus alone felt the voice in his head, drowning everything in its voice, the image of the guards in his eyes, everything that just happened overwhelmed him. The voice kept calling his name over, and over, as pain spread through his body. His name repeating while, memories of things he didn't know kept coming to him, he wanted to scream, but his body didn't move even as he fell in the air, calling for his mother was all he wanted. "Mom" was all he could manage to think, as he saw the ceiling farther, and farther away, everything went black....
