Chapter 98 - Under the shade of a tree

Was it because of her blood?

It seemed possible, Sienna thought. It was not likely for the blood-purifying curse to work without her completing the incantation. There must have been an error or something.

But if there was an error, it wasn't apparent in the werewolf's condition. He looked strong and well, which led Sienna to think there must be an unknown substance in her blood that healed Dylan and also deflected the spell the witch cast on him.

Dylan walked toward Sienna and stopped in front of her. He sat on his heels and asked,

"Are you alright? If you feel unwell, I can accompany you to the town clinic. It isn't far from here, I suppose."

"It is a little far," she said in a low voice with a polite smile, knowing the man didn't know where the town clinic was. As he mentioned to the guards, he was only traveling. He wasn't from Thefadore, and she was relieved by that. She wished for her secret to remain a secret among the people in the small town of Durnam.
