Going to this marriage registry to wed was the promise Kris Cooper and Vera Wave made years ago. Seeing that it was almost midnight, Kris Cooper did not return to the hotel to rest; instead, they went straight from the airport to the marriage registry.
Vera glanced at her T-shirt and jeans, "But, I haven't changed clothes yet."
"I will help you borrow their room when the time comes," Kris Cooper reassured her, gently touching the top of her head. "I can't wait until tomorrow. If we go now, we shouldn't have to queue."
