Chapter 31 - sad rose

The frog leapt, and the flying horse descended onto the city's ground. Warrior Sola landed gracefully, holding young Capelli in her arms.

The place was filled with roses and flowers of every kind, their vibrant colors glowing under the soft, gentle light. As they walked, the frog hopped behind them and said:

"Don't go far. I'll head to the side of the lake, spend some pleasant moments, and then return to you."

The warrior girl, Sola, soon grew tired of walking. She sat with Capelli beneath the shade of tall red rose stems.

Suddenly, drops of water fell on Capelli's hands. When they touched the warrior girl's face, she realized her skin had grown wet.

Sola: "Where did you get the water from?"

Capelli: "It came down from the tops of the roses."

Sola looked up and spoke softly:

"Oh, rose… what's wrong? I see you crying."

Rose: "My tears never end."

Capelli: "Why? Who made you sad?"

Rose: "Monsters."

Sola: "But there are no monsters here."

Rose: "There—in your world. We were there… and we were killed by monsters."

The warrior Sola glanced around, hearing the faint sobs of smaller flowers.

Sola: "And who are they?"

Rose: "These… are our children."

Capelli: "Can I return your smile to you?"

Rose: "In our world, we were always smiling. We believed those who held the keys to our world would never lose them. But sadly… we discovered that the key to our world was lost."

Capelli: "Do you mean… I will live in a world where the keys are lost?"

Little Roses: "Yes… yes."

Capelli: "Then I will stay with you."

Sola: "No, Capelli… you must search for that lost key."

Capelli stood, determination shining in his eyes. He bid farewell to the roses, saying:

"When I return to my world, I will search for my lost key."
