Chapter 3- Family and Pokemon
Sonia agreed to the idea of the two elders which made the family of four have a rare time to be together but it only lasted for a week as Ian's parents were called for emergency as the league leaders of all regions had an alliance meeting.
Within this one week Ian finally recovered and when he was checked by the doctors and his great grandfather they were surprised as Ian was perfectly healthy. He was still adjusting on how to respond to his new family and he also found out about himself.
Ian was currently 8 years old, which made him awkward as he didn't remember anything from his past about his childhood except the pokemon games, anime, and going to school. Him always being silent made his elders worried as he was now perfectly healthy but they found him using all his energy being curious about the pokemon.
Ian: Of course pokemon was new to me.
In terms of being close he was close to his new sibling, his elder sister Diantha. When Ed saw her with her partner Ralts he was sure that she was the future champion and actress of Kalos. Even though only older than Ian for 3 years, being 11 years old, she has a busy schedule as not only was she a model student but also a top young actress.
So aside from him the other three members of the family had a busy schedule so he was left behind here with his grandparents. They want to take Ian with them but thinking it through they would just leave Ian alone at their home so it was better for him to be with his grandparents.
Ian also didn't want to return with his parents yet as he still wanted to 'play' on his grandparents pokemon ranch and pokemart. Comparing it to his memory of his family home he could only say that his grandparents were rich.
From the memories he learned that his parents were champions but they didn't focus on luxury at all and even his monthly allowance was lower than his classmate whose parents worked as a clerk and security of a pokemart. But he learned that they are giving their paycheck to orphanages and other non-profit organizations for sick children but they freaking didn't use any money to put his predecessor in a hospital and just seek unnatural means.
Ian couldn't help but lament as his parents in his pass even though not perfect they make their kids priority but these new parents? They are like new teen parents who just got a child. Like for pete sake they had his older sister for 11 years already and they still didn't know how to take care of their child?
He knew based on his memories that Diantha was taken care of by the elders of both families, Sonia's parents and Argus' adopted family. That's why his grandparents don't trust his parents so much as they're not parent material.
"You better behave and not cause trouble to grandma and grandpa okay?" Diantha told Ian.
"Yes sis don't worry" Ian replied.
"Also take care of Ralts. Charmeleon please take care of Ian and make sure he behave" Diantha ordered Charmeleon, who is like a competent brother, to watch over Ian.
"Char"
"Um.. But I am his trainer" Ian made a mumble retort but was silenced by his sister's gaze. In his memory when Ian turned 9 he got Charmander from his father as it was the offspring of Argus' Charizard and Ian didn't get a choice for pokemon. With this Charmander was his starter pokemon and also the pokemon who help him a lot of times including in the trainer school.
"Take care son" Argus who was listening beside them said. Ian can understand his father after all unlike in the anime and games high ranking trainers are assigned to explore unexplored areas and those in the games where there are routes those are areas that have already been explored. Being the 4th champion of Kalos and he needs to be there to clean up all trouble and trouble is the thing those arrogant trainers are good at.

As for the system it was still the same in which every sign-in but the rewards were just system points and he didn't know where he could use it. He hopes that with the system introducing this points it will have a system store.
But what confuses him is that his weekly consecutive sign-in just gives him research documents. The problem he had before in which he couldn't take out any items is now gone as he could take out any items in his inventory.
'At least it wasn't a dud now' Ian mused as he took out the research document he just received from the system. He just wanted to look at it to know what's so special about it that it was his weekly and monthly reward but when he saw the research title his face changed as his interest increased.
'Master Ball production' and when he saw a letter it was addressed to Team Rocket.
The elders in front of Ian looked at Ian to check if he was asleep but what they found was that the kid was holding a document. Curious Grandpa Yun looked at the content and when he saw the title his face change.
"Ian, can I take a look at those documents?" Grandpa Yun asked Ian. He heard from his friend in Kanto that a new evil organization is creating chaos in Kanto where their number of goons is increasing. Now they have this research about master ball which is classified in the league.
Grandma Talya was surprised as to why her husband's mood changed and wanting to read the documents so she kept silent as she also read the documents with her husband. After skimming through the whole document Grandpa Yun immediately took out his phone and called someone.

The three, 2 elders and 1 child, went back home riding a car. Ian was saddened because he thought that they would ride a pokemon when he heard that they'll be going to the airport but they rode a car on their way. After all, it was the pokemon world where they had pokemon which is part of life of the world. If Ian compares the pokemon world and Earth, aside for pokemon the pokemon world the technology of the world are between 19s and 2000s aside for high-edge technology like video phone booths. As for phones the one being used were the pokegear which its functions were map, time and call.
As for cars he could say that like Earth this world also love cars as he saw once on TV of someone showing off their luxury car. His grandpa is also one of those rich gentlemen who has many collections of luxury cars but he would only use the SUV they are currently using. Grandpa Yun always showed off his collection to Ian and his sister Diantha, who was so brimming with excitement who sometimes cut off Grandpa on his explanation by stating the specs of each car. Like base on his memory his grandpa already explained it to them every time they are in the elders' house.
When they finally arrived home, they were greeted by two pokemon. One was a large green pokemon that resembled an insectoid, bipedal dragon, and a rhombus-shaped wings. It was Flygon, grandma Talya's pokemon. The other was also a bipedal dragon which more resembled a shark, colored mostly of purplish-blue, a red underbelly extended to the mouth, and yellow triangled shape end. It was Garchomp, Grandpa Yun's pokemon. But Ian couldn't help but feel uncomfortable every time he faced Garchomp.
Like the elders the two were also a couple and as of the moment the two were excited to meet their child which became his cousin's starter pokemon. Wild dragon type pokemon tend to kick their cubs out of their home or leave them behind as a form of protection and training but since the dragon couple were under his grandparents care since they were an egg they also copied how humans behave. Year ago Flygon layed two pokemon eggs and one of which was given to Cynthia who has finished her trial on her clan, the Celestia. Even though she was not chosen to become the maiden of their clan, she was still one of the best trainers in their clan's generation.
With her Family she will be going to the elder's house to celebrate for their family once a year reunion.
'Fly~' Flygon nuzzled her head on grandma, as it looked around as its eyes full of eagerness as they want to see their most talented child. When Flygon laid the two eggs one, which is the Gible, was absorbing dragon aura and when they checked its aptitude it was one of the highest aptitude and also their favorite. When the elders let Diantha, Cynthia, and Ian to choose which egg they'll pick, Ian choose the pokemon which is surely became a Trapinch, Diantha didn't choose as she took the pokemon egg of Sonia's Goodra, so their cousin Cynthia got to take the Gible egg.
Why didn't Ian choose the Gible egg? Well because he has trauma about Garchomp and for him Flygon was a hero. When the present Ian got this memory he wanted to curse his predecessor for being a coward but when he saw the two pokemon the real Garchomp was not as cool as he imagined and his body still reflexedly flinched every time he was in front of Garchomp. But Flygon was cute and also a cool pokemon.
"Hahaha you two were so excited but your child is still not here they will be here next week" Grandma consoled Flygon who was disappointed. Garchomp also greeted its trainer before they left just glancing at Ian for a second. Ian couldn't help but sigh as most of his grandparents' pokemon, especially dragon type, mostly favor his elder sister Diantha and Cynthia who is not even blood related to their trainers, no they prefer other children than Ian. Cynthia was the stepdaughter of Ian's aunt. Like the couple could only reluctantly give their other child to Ian when Diantha chose Goomy over their child. Even if he chose the Goomy egg, his father's Goodra will surely make a fuss about taking back her child. It was when Diantha was busy with her studies and Ian was taking care of the egg Goodra made a fuss about it.
'Good thing his family didn't specialise on dragon type' Grandpa Yun specialises on Water and Steel types, Grandma Talya on Grass and Psychic types, his mother Sonia also on Grass type with some Ice type pokemon, his father Argus was Fire and Flying. As for his other relatives most of them use water type pokemon.
'But most of them have dragon types.'
