After breakfast, the angel hurried off to his day job, of course carrying Hua Lang along with him as though the little piglet were just another accessory he needed to bring to work. Hua Lang could do nothing but hang helplessly in Tian's embrace, his entire body being jostled with every hurried step as the angel practically ran down the street.
Thankfully, when they arrived, the store was still empty. There were barely any customers around, allowing Tian to slip inside without attracting much attention.
"I-I'm sorry…" Tian immediately apologized to the old man behind the counter, still trying to catch his breath. "I slept in. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again."
The old man merely grunted in response, apparently not particularly interested in hearing his excuses.
Tian simply flashed him his usual bright smile.
"So, what should I do today?"
The old man gestured toward the back corner of the store, where several boxes had been left waiting to be unpacked and put away.
