"You've spoken to Gehrman have you? Indeed, I was also once a hunter of the dream, though that was forever ago. Now I'm just an old croaking lady,"Eileen told Percy.
Percy however smiled and snorted.
"Dont worry, ill take care of you," Percy said as he held his head up high.
Only for his ego to be bruised by Eileen's slapping the back of his head.
"Im old, not helpless," she said, though Percy could tell behind her mask was a faint smile.
Percy sat in silence as he stabbed himself again with the poison dagger again.
{Alert: poison resistance has reached 30 %}
Eileen looked at him and nodded her head. She found his power to be unique, or godlike in her opinion.
Sure the doll could help you channel the blood echoes you've earned, but this was different. Her apprentice could physically learn different skills.
Poison resistance, pain tolerance, even the way he moved seemed to imitate her. She was flattered by that of course, but she knew she would have to fix his little habits first.
"So who's your little girlfriend?" Eileen asked Percy as she looked at the ring on his finger.
"Shes not my girlfriend. She's my friend," Percy said.
Though Percy did remove his ring to reveal the hunting knife his friend threw at him.
Eileen took one look at the blade and let out a whistle.
"This friend of yours must be pretty powerful if they give a weapon of that caliber," Eileen said.
Percy nodded his head as Eileen handed him back the blade, which Percy put back on his finger.
"She is. I saw... something when I looked at her. It was beautiful in a way, though it almost burnt my eyes out," Percy said.
Eileen let out a hum and she looked into the distant yharnam sky.
"Is she pretty?" Eileen asked the boy, who blinked surprisingly.
"Oh yeah. She had such a beautiful way of firing a bow. Her knife skills are incredible too. Though, compared to you she is lacking," Percy said rubbing his chin.
Eileen shook her head, and gently grabbed Percy's chin.
"Im about to teach you a lesson you best not forget percy. With great power comes great big booty bitc-" however the sentence was cut off when percy died.
{Died by poison}
"...what an interesting day." Eileen chuckled fondly before looking at the moon.
...
Eileen said she had something to look into, so Percy began wandering the streets, putting down beasts and keeping them so.
Percy's feet took him to a young girl who spoke from the window. Her shadow was visible but not her face.
"My mother was about to depart... to find my father. She is a hunter, like you. But..." Percy could hear the nervousness in the girl's voice.
"Tell your mother that there is no need. I shall depart in her stead. I'll find your father, and relay the information. Stay in your home, it is not safe to be outside young one," percy told the girl.
{Skill manners is level 3}
Percy slid down the ladder outside the girls home, he still banged his head accidentally on the ladder, but he was getting better at avoiding that.
"So I need to find gascoigne huh," percy said before twirling his blade in his hand.
"Let the hunt begin."
...
"Hello?" Percy made his presence known as he entered the creepy graveyard.
His footsteps were light, and his eyes scanned the area but found no one.
Which was wei-
The hairs on his neck warned him of an attack from behind as a hunters axe slammed into where he stood before.
Percy's body moved by instinct and dashed forward, the owner of said axe was already with his weapon about to attack again.
"I had really hoped we wouldn't meet like this old man," Percy said sadly as he looked at Gascoigne, whose eyes were now yellow. His sanity was already gone.
Gascoigne didn't seem to respond to percy's words, but percy dashed forward and attacked.
His ring transformed into a hunting knife and Percy used his small frame to outmaneuver gascoigne.
Gascoigne, though, was still skilled enough to cause percy trouble though. If percy missed even a single step he was punished, and harshly.
Percy was able to get behind Gascoigne when he slammed his axe into the ground in an attempt to squish him.
Percy's blade connected into the gascoigne's back. The man loud out a howl was so horrifying... wait a minute, a howl?
Percy was flung back into a wall and as he lifted his head he saw Gascoigne's horrifying transformation into a beast.
Percy was on his feet in an instant, the pain he normally would have felt was reduced, but not healed.
"I see," Percy said before placing his hand on the ground. The little ones heeded his call and produced his trusty saw cleaver.
"Arent you getting into something too big for your britches," Eileen's voice came from the rooftop.
Percy made the mistake of looking, and was picked up by the foot by gascoigne and slammed repeatedly into the ground.
Percy grit his teeth and threw a dagger into the beast's eyes, forcing it to drop. Though that gave a moment to look at Eileen, who was observing him, even as Percy injected some blood in himself to heal.
"Finish it. This is your hunt. Give him mercy," she said.
With a nod Percy continued the fight, his saw cleaver did more damage than his knife, so Percy attacked.
Gascoigne eventually fell to Percy's blade, but our hero was covered in blood. His hands shook as the blood stained his hand.
{You have become a hunter of hunters. Congratulations}
"Not bad," Eileen said leaving her little roof, and stood by Percy as she looked down at Gascoigne, the mask she wore hid her expression.
"Remember that feeling percy. For this is merely the beginning of your journey. You might feel as if you committed murder, but he was lost. He was consumed by the hunt. That percy, is where we come in. We are hunters. Hunter of hunters. We are the last hope for this hopeless place," Eileen said as she rubbed his hair.
"Promise me percy. You might use the blood now, and it brings many benefits, but promise me. You will fear the old blood," she said.
