Chapter 26 - Dogs attack

 

 

Fuck, it never left.

 

"Lin, run... I'll stay behind. That's what a friend does—help each other. You helped me, and I should help you. Please remember the time we shared, even though it was short. I am grateful. No one ever showed me the care you did," said Bojo Ready, to sacrifice himself.

 

Before they could react, the dog lunged. It ignored Bojo entirely, focusing its wrath on Lin. Lucky, Lin dodged just in time to avoid the snapping jaws. The dog adjusted its speed, eyes narrowed in on its prey. Mouth dripping with saliva, it snarled and charged again.

 

Lin ran desperately, but the dog was faster. Within a few seconds, it caught up, jaws snapping to strike. Bojo leapt in just in time. Just a few inches away from biting down on Lin's butt, Bojo sent a sharp and precise hit to its belly. The dog, focused on Lin, hadn't anticipated something like that. The hit landed directly on the dog's body, causing it to lose its balance, fall, roll over, and hit a tree.
