But it wasn't long before they heard the barking sound from behind.

As they ran, they noticed a grove of trees ahead that looked like a small forest. "Let's go inside."
Both of them dashed into the forest. Once inside, Lin told Bojo to find a leaning tree. They quickly split up, searching from left to right.
There were only two safe options to evade the dog: staying on high ground or climbing a tree. Goats excel at scaling leaning trees on hillsides, so this was their best chance.
"Lin, come this way," Bojo called out. Lin followed and soon spotted what they needed—a lean tree.
The tree stretched about 25 to 30 feet long and measured roughly 7 to 8 inches in circumference, relatively small compared to the towering trees around them. But this was exactly what they were looking for. It leaned at about a 30 to 35-degree angle from the ground—the perfect climbing escape route.
