Chapter 51 - CH. 51 - Expectations

In a great hall of the academy, Wolf goes flying back and slams against a wall with a grunt in pain. Out of a smoke and dust filled hole through another wall comes Marcus.

"You know, after letting you land the first punch, I really thought you'd be stronger than this. Guess I was mistaken." Marcus mocks as Wolf giggles a bit and glares at him.

"Yeah right, I know a shocked pussy when I see one. I got you good~!" Wolf says back as Marcus's smirk shifts to a scowl.

Suddenly, with blitzing speed, Marcus slams his fist into Wolf's stomach then another punch across her face but as she falls over, he quickly grabs her by the face and slams her into the ground. Before she can even react, Marcus slams his fist down into her face and into the ground.

Marcus pulls his fist back as a bit of blood trails from Wolf's face as she lays there bleeding from her nose. Marcus huffs as he stands tall above her.

"You're so pathetic, and annoying." Marcus says with an openly annoyed look. His eyes then widen as he's blasted with bright purple lightning directly in the face.

Marcus hits the ground on his back but quickly flips and catches himself. He rubs his face, now burned a bit. Wolf stands up, sweating and bloody, and smirks at him.

"Let's see how annoying I can be."

They glare at each other for a moment before charging and immediately slamming their fists directly into each others face. They both fall back for a moment but Marcus quickly recovers and front kicks directly at Wolf.

She blocks but slides back when Marcus extends his arm and wraps it around her waist. He then whips her around hard and slams her into a large pillar. She slams into it with a yelp before Marcus slams a bone covered fist into her, smashing her through it.

In this great hall, many students scream and watch in shock at the sight as staff stand by or rush to report, recognizing the students.

Wolf slides back on one hand and charges some electricity in her other but before she can even do anything, Marcus blitzes to her and pulls her head back by the jaw. There, he then slams his other fist into her face and into the ground.

Wolf is totally stunned by the devastating blow as Marcus flips and kicks her in the side across the ground. Wolf hits a wall beside them as Marcus follows up with a barrage of punches, each arm extending over and over with the blows.

Wolf takes a couple direct hits but puts her arms up to block the attacks when suddenly they stop as Marcus grabs onto the wall just above her head with both hands and launches himself at her, driving his knee right into her face and into the stone wall.

Wolf falls for a moment before she throws herself forward with a shout and punches Marcus across the face. He quickly swings his arm back but Wolf dodges it narrowly and punches Marcus again in the opposite direction before slamming her hand against his face, blasting another lightning bolt out.

Marcus falls back as Wolf stumbles back too, her arm shaking as the electricity burns her. Marcus quickly regains his focus and shoots out two bone whips from his wrists and wrap around Wolf.

He swings her back and throws her against the wall but she catches herself on her feet and jumps off the wall, body slamming into Marcus, shattering the bone whips. Wolf flips over and throws a punch at Marcus but he quickly blocks and punches her in the stomach before grabbing her head and slamming his into hers.

Despite his reinforced skull due to his powers, Wolf falls back but snaps forward and slams her head back into his with even more force. Marcus's ears ring for a moment as they both stumble back from each other. They pant and breath heavily as Wolf bleeds. Slowly, Marcus's wounds begin to heal as Wolf moans.

"Ahh… Of course you have regeneration." Wolf whines.

"I told you. I am Representative 0, Marcus South, the strongest student. There is no one here that can rival my strength." Marcus says clearly. Wolf perks up a bit at his words.

"South?.." Wolf notes. Marcus smirks.

"Yes. I am the only son of Southpaw. As such, I am expected to be strong. To protect the students and remove anyone causing trouble. As much responsibility as that brings…"

Marcus says as he smiles aggressively. Out of his back comes two more arms slowly. Those arms then cover themselves in hard bone before slashing his palms on the other two hands. The blood then slowly drips from his hands before hardening into hammer and a crude blade.

"Being his son does come with some perks too. I have all the same powers he does. Anything any Body Type can do, I can do too!" Marcus shouts before rushing Wolf.

Marcus slams a bone arm into Wolf's face downwards before slamming the blood hammer into her face the opposite way. Blood flies from Wolf's mouth as she stumbles back but she quickly spins around and throws a punch that collides with Marcus's other bone fist.

The force bursts out but instantly, Marcus thrusts the blood sword at Wolf's face which she dodges getting her cheek cut. Marcus then grabs Wolf by the head with his bone arm and throws her behind him then launches the blood hammer at her, smashing her through the wall and into a small enclosed courtyard.

Wolf hits the ground and coughs in pain as smoke and dust falls around the area. Wolf stands up, injured as Marcus steps her way.

"Come on. Surely you can do more. How was this able to beat the android designed for us Representatives?" Marcus asks, motioning towards her and placing a hand on his hip.

Wolf glares at him before throwing her arm forward and blasting lightning at him but Marcus disappears with a dash before appearing right behind her. Not given a chance, Marcus kicks Wolf in the back, stunning her, then slamming a bone fist into her face and into the ground.

Hit with enough force you bounce off the ground, Wolf is staggered as Marcus quickly grabs onto her ankle and throws her back towards the hole in the wall, slamming her against the wall just above the hole. She starts to fall as Marcus charges her again.

"Come on! Fight back! I know you got more!" Marcus shouts as Wolf falls, her bangs covering her eyes.

'I really wanted to beat him without using all my powers… To prove I'm stronger than even the best… to protect my friends.'

Marcus thrusts his arm forward attempting to punch Wolf again but instantly, Wolf grabs onto his wrist, twists and spins in the air then slams her boot into the top of Marcus's head and straight into the ground. The force of the impact lets out a small boom as the ground is crushed.

"Fine, you wanna see my power? Have a taste!" Wolf shouts as Marcus shoots up in anger only to be met by Wolf front kicking him in the face with her leg covered in the black mist. "Leg Shot!" She shouts.

Marcus goes flying back, tumbling across the ground, before getting to his feet only to be met by a punch to his face at the distance away Wolf is, the black mist trailing the path of her fists.

"Arm Shot!" Wolf shouts before another punch hits Marcus's stomach then face again. "Shot! Shot! And… Repeat!"

Wolf shouts when suddenly a barrage of punches fly at Marcus. He's struck over and over by punches totally engulfing him. Punching faster than ever before, Marcus is completely overwhelmed as he's slammed against the wall on the other side of the court.

'What is this? I've never seen anything like this.' Marcus thinks as Wolf suddenly stops, pulling her arms back with a snap and a smirk.

"What are you doing over there? Don't worry, I'm coming!" Wolf shouts as the black mist coats her legs. "Darkstep!" Wolf shouts. Marcus looks up out of the dust with a shocked look, bleeding from his head as Wolf moves faster than she ever has before.

'I can't see her!'

Marcus thinks in shock as Wolf speeds towards him and suddenly there's a loud crash… but nothing comes. Marcus looks to his left and sees Wolf head first in the wall as she smashed through, totally limp. He stares at her as he sweats a bit.

"Was that.. on purpose?" Marcus asks. Wolf pulls herself out of the rubble and shakes her head before glaring at Marcus.

"Of course not! Do you think I'm stupid or something?!" Wolf shouts.

"Uh, yeah." Marcus says back with attitude. Wolf just huffs as she rubs her head a little with a pained look.

"Note to self. Work on stopping more than gunning it at full speed." Wolf says to herself. Marcus looks at her for a second before shaking his head a little and grunting angrily, scoffing.

"Do you think this is a game? We are students of the Academy of Superior Abilities, not just some kids playing around!" He gets up and grabs Wolf by the throat, lifting her off the ground. "You don't care about heroes or civilians. All you care about is yourself. And I won't stand for it."

Marcus says angrily when suddenly Wolf's expression turns to shock and pain as Marcus begins to do something to her. The veins in Wolf's neck get thick and dark as the same happens to Marcus's hand around her neck. He glares at her intensely as she seemingly chokes.

"The very fact you even challenged me, the fact you're accepted here with open arms, pisses me off beyond belief… I work hard to live up to the expectations put on me. I work hard to be the strongest..! But you just come in here and piss all over it. You should die for that."

Marcus grunts angrily as Wolf struggles in his grasp. As she chokes and struggles, she suddenly glares back aggressively as she focuses in on him. She holds onto his wrist tightly as Marcus begins to shake. The dark veins start going away slowly as Marcus's eyes widen.

Before anything else can be done, Marcus throws Wolf away, slamming her into a nearby tree with a yelp. Wolf catches her breath between coughs as Marcus looks at his hand in shock.

'What was that?.. My powers, she…' Marcus thinks before glaring at her. "What did you do?!" Marcus shouts as she extends his bone arms out at her.

Wolf quickly dashes away with her black mist as the fists slam into where she just was, putting some distance between them. Wolf rubs her neck as she closes an eye in pain, still staring at Marcus.

"I don't know what you're talking about.. I'm just fighting until you can't fight back anymore!"

Wolf shouts as she Darksteps behind Marcus, blasting purple lightning into his body. He shouts in pain for a moment before another arm comes out of his body and grabs onto Wolf's face, slamming her into the wall.

Wolf grits her teeth in pain for a moment before quickly dodging a bone fist extending her way by cocking her head to the side. She then ducks as Marcus swings his arm around, tearing up the wall.

Wolf then dashes at Marcus with her Darkstep but barely misses. As she slides to try and stop, she trips on something and tumbles across the ground before hitting the other wall. There, Marcus shoots out a blood spear going faster than any other attack before. Wolf barely is able to dodge as it cuts her cheek.

'That was way fast!'

Wolf thinks when Marcus dashes to her and slams his foot into her block, smashing her through the wall. Wolf tumbles back but slides on her feet and instantly shoots back a lightning bolt at Marcus but he dodges and swipes at her with a blood slash.

Wolf barely dodges, leaning back, before swinging her fist around and striking Marcus across the face. He stumbles over but Wolf stays on him with a couple more heavy punches to his face before pulling back and launching the barrage of black mist punches.

"Arm Repeat!"

Wolf shouts as Marcus gets pushed back, getting hit over and over by her fists. He keeps his guard up, gritting his teeth, before thrusting two fists into the ground. His arms extend then shoot out of the ground next to Wolf, slamming into both sides of her face at the same time.

Blood flies from her mouth as she stumbles back while Marcus retracts his arms with a snap. Wolf glares at him with a growl before using Darkstep again, speeding towards him. Marcus reacts this time and dodges, leading Wolf to slam into a stone edge of the wall face first.

She shatters the corner as she falls back before grabbing her bleeding nose with a growl and a grunt in frustration and pain.

"Grr.. fuck!.." Wolf shouts in pain as she slowly turns and glares at Marcus who stares back. "Fine, since I can't stop so good. Why don't I use that to my advantage!"

Wolf shouts while pulling her arms back and fists in close. Marcus looks confused for a moment as Wolf dashes his way faster with no intention of stopping, and slamming herself directly into Marcus.

Marcus is shocked as the impact hurts, sending him flying into a stone pillar and straight through it, hitting the wall and bouncing off it before hitting the floor. Wolf pants as the black mist around her body slowly dissipates.

Marcus props himself up with a grunt, shaking just a bit before focusing on healing his wounds. Doing this though, his other two bone covered arms absorb back into his body to reserve stamina.

"What's the matter? Tired already? Guess being called the strongest was all just for show." Wolf says smugly, smirking at him but she knows her body can't take much more. Panting, sweaty and bloody, she hopes she's right.

Suddenly, Marcus slams his fist against her face upwards, lifting her off the ground and splattering blood out of her mouth before grabbing onto her ankle and slamming her into the ground.

Wolf hits the floor hard and lifts back into the air as Marcus dashes behind her, grabs onto her, and throws her hard behind him. She goes flying into a wall as Marcus extends his arm and slams her back against it, grabbing her neck. Without hesitation, he pulls himself in with intense speed and slams his fist into her face with enough force to crack of the thick stone walls all the way up to the roof.

Marcus pulls his fist back from Wolf's face as she slumps forward out of the small crater her head was in only for Marcus to grab her again, shoving her back against the wall.

"You pathetic little runt..! Don't you dare think for even a second you were a challenge to me!" Marcus says aggressively through burning anger. "I am Marcus South, only son of Southpaw, the greatest, strongest hero in the world! I'm the Representative known as the strongest student and no one here is even close!"

As Marcus shouts angrily, Wolf struggles under his grasp before he lets her go for a moment only to draw out a blood blade and run it through her shoulder and into the wall. Wolf screams in pain as she holds onto him tightly.

"You have no idea what it's like to be a Representative, to be a hero! I know people like you. Selfish and self righteous. You don't care about others, you only care about yourself and the strength you can obtain, you purple eyed monster."

Marcus says intensely as Wolf's eyes widen and get even more intense. Her anger and frustration builds as she closes her fist tightly. Her eyes begin to change a little as she glares, subtly but still apparent as her soul begins to shake violently.

"Don't.. call me that!"

Wolf shouts before slamming her fist into Marcus's side. She hits him harder than she ever has before as her fist pushes into his body, cracking and snapping bones in the process.

Marcus looks shocked as he bends over a bit with blood coming from his mouth. The aggressiveness of her attack shocks her as Wolf's eyes soften instantly, more worried than anything now.

"Wait! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"

Marcus then shoves the blood blade deeper through her shoulder causing Wolf to scream again as Marcus straightens up.

"Things like that mean nothing to me. I've already started healing it, you stupid dog." Marcus says as he grabs onto Wolf's hair tightly. "There are certain things expected of me as a Representative."

Marcus says as he looks around. Wolf opens one eye and looks around too at the destruction around them and the people scared and concerned, both students and staff alike. Wolf's look drops a little as Marcus speaks.

"This is par for the course for me. A little louder than usual, sure, but I'll be forgiven because this is what's expected of me. To put down evil little monsters like you, threatening our school and our students." Marcus says as Wolf lowers her head, covering her eyes with her bangs. "Now let me show you what we do to people like you."

Marcus says as he pulls his fist back, preparing to strike her again but Wolf grits her teeth, scoffing a bit, before lifting her legs and kicking him off of her, sending him tumbling back. He slides on his feet as Wolf speaks.

"I don't give a damn about your title or their opinions of me. These people can think whatever they want. Them and your strength mean nothing to me. All I care about is being strong enough to protect my friends from people like you!"

Wolf shouts as she crushes the blood blade in her shoulder and gets to her feet. Marcus glares angrily as Wolf pulls her arm back, the black mist coating it.

"I will protect my friends no matter the cost! Destroying this place, toppling the Reps, I'll do it all if it means they get to keep living their dreams freely!"

Wolf shouts as she dashes at Marcus. Following suit, Marcus covers his arm in hard bone and charges as well. The two dash at each other, ready to strike each other down but right before their punches can collide, a figure appears between them, grabbing onto both their fists and quickly but proficiently tossing them to the sides.

They both tumble over as they're tossed around. Marcus quickly flips over and looks up before gritting his teeth in frustration.

"You! You annoying windbag, I'll show you!"

Marcus shouts before the figure speeds behind him and slams a hand into the back of his neck, instantly knocking him unconscious. Wolf groans on the ground as she props herself up, the weight of everything starting to hit her body.

The person then steps next to her so she quickly turns and looks up to see Professor Nobody standing above them. Wolf stares as he stares back for a moment before raising his hand back.

"I'm mildly disappointed in you, Wolf Anderson." Professor Nobody says. Wolf looks up at him, a look of disappointment in herself ever so slight on her face before he swings down and everything goes black.
