The boss swung it's claw violently, too fast for Elvis to react, sending flying.

The old man caught him by the collar of his trench coat while flying in the air.
"Take it easy kid, you're not some main character. " The old man said chuckling.
His blaster materialized from his arm this time, firing away at the boss, making it scream in pain.
The old man dropped Elvis safely on the ground, while the rest gathered to fight the boss.
Elvis laid on the ground, applying pressure on his wound, waiting for his healing to kick in.
The reason why it seemed like everything was too easy for Elvis was because he was merely in Level 1.

Emax threw three grenades at the beast, drawing its attention.
'What the fuck, my energy grenades didn't even pierce it's skin. ' Emax thought with anger on his face.
The boss began charging towards him, but was getting significantly slower.
Another ascender with cyber enhancements fired powerful strings from his fingers, which wrapped around the beast, sending powerful currents of electricity into it's body.
*ROARRRRR* The beast screamed, grabbing onto the strings and drawing the ascender close to him.
The ascender tried to resist, but it's strength was futile before the descender.
The boss had it's mouth wide open, ready to gulp down the ascender who continued to struggle.
No one dared to move, any heroic moves might lead to the loss of their own lives.
"Please, help me, GG07, GG07. " the ascender screamed for help but no one came to his rescue.
"I'm sorry kid, my blaster is out of power." The man said with a sad look on his face.
*FIUM* A jagged blade cut through the air, piercing the descender's eye, forcing him to let go of the ascender.
The old took advantage of this opportunity, activating his jetpack, flying through the air at immense speed, he managed to catch the falling ascender.
But the move was a risky one, the descender began chasing after the both of them, unwilling to let them go.
"I can't throw my other blade unless, I'd be weaponless. " Elvis voiced out, but Emax had already taken the initiative.
"It's eyes, aim for the eyes. " Emax shouted, pulling out his plasma rifle, without warning he rained attacks on the beast.
Others who saw what he was doing and had blaster powers continued to fire at the descender's eyes, managing to buy the old man enough time to escape.
"Shit, I'm out of bullets. " Emax said out loud, the others continued to fire irrespective.
The descender had noticed what was going on and raised it's arm to block it's eyes.
"Here you go kid. " the ascender with the string enhancements said to Elvis, chucking his blades towards him.
He managed to pull out the blades using his strings at the last second.

It was still risky for Elvis to join the fight again, and he was not ready to leave, who knew when next he would get a chance to ascend again.
"Boy, your blades, I think they are sharp enough to Pierce the skin of that descender. " The old man said looking at Elvis, he was already hatching a plan in his mind.
"Take this, you might just be our trip out of here." The old man said, throwing a pill at Elvis.

Elvis quickly gulped down the pill, bringing his HP to 8.
"So what's the plan." Emax asked the old man in anticipation .
"You and Sasha, would draw the beasts attention, while Rohan and I focus on restricting it's movements, Elvis would be the one to deal damage to the beast." The old man said, he had memorized all their names.
While this conversation was happening the group was constantly running and dodging the attacks of the beast.
Emax and the old man looked at Each other nodding their heads, Sasha jumped out from nowhere,firing three arrows at the descender.
Her arrows weren't normal one, the bow was made of a highly durable metal but not the same metal the aliens used.
That was why Elvis could damage the beasts, his blades were made from the same metal of the spaceship that had crashed in Ejigbo two years ago.
The metal was almost impossible to melt with normal materials so instead, he combined pieces of the spaceship that had broken off from the spaceship and joined them all together using a powerful electro magnet.
The descender boas roared, turning it's head towards Sasha, he began making his way towards her.
Sasha fired an arrow at one of the nearby buildings, the arrow had a wire attached to it and just by pulling it she was being drawn to the building.
Sasha winked at Emax, it was now time for him to execute his part of the plan.
Emax held his assauly blaster, firing multiple shots in a second, which all landed on the head of the boss descender making it scream in anger.
The boss turned for Emax, but Sasha's arrows drew it's attention.
The boss screamed in anger, failing to notice To Han's wires completely wrapped around it's legs.
Rohan smirked, with a mere thought, 1 million killowats of electricity was sent into the beast, making it scream violently.
Rohan tightened his wires, pulling them to make it stronger, restricting the beasts movements.
The old man floated before the boss, blue energy was already gathering in his outstretched blaster.
Without a second of caution he poured out all the energy in his blastsr into a single attack, stunning the beast and sending it flying backwards.
"We have done the best we can kid, it's all up to you now. " The old man said, throwing a pill at Elvis.
Elvis didn't bother checking the pill, he just threw it into his mouth, there was no time to waste.

Elvis smiled, gripping his blades feircely, his eyes locked onto the boss.
