So about a week or so had now passed since me and Sakura had transformed the Sleep Card into yet another Star Card. But still, I just could not seem to shake the feeling, that me and Sakura were not the only ones that were involved in something like this or similar. I mean I didn't really exactly know why I sometimes tended to think this. Almost as if me and Sakura, were somehow part of what was actually a much bigger picture so too speak.
But as for the current moment, this wasn't exactly on either me or Sakura's mind. And as for why this was currently the case? Well you see, about that...
"I still can't understand why the stairs to this building aren't able to be used. Well at least Eli was kind enough to suggest that me, Sakura, and Li take the elevator instead of the stairs that were out of order." I said over to both Sakura and Li. As all three of us were in fact inside of an elevator at the moment. I was against one wall with Sakura, while Li was on the opposite wall. But even though things seemed normal right now, this was something that was soon about to change.
And sure enough while Sakura, me and Li were still traveling down in the elevator towards the ground floor...
"Okay I am starting to sense that all too familiar aura of Clow Reed again. Come to think of it, I am still finding it somewhat difficult to understand as to why I just cannot seem to trust Eli. I mean sure I don't know anything about him from the show. Since that is what I get for choosing not to watch past the fifth episode of the anime. But I almost feel as though..." I had proceeded to think to myself. Only for the sudden jolting of the elevator stopping in between floors, to literally wind up jolting me out of my current thought based stupor, as well as cut me off midway through my thought. And just to make things worse, the lights had also gone out. But, before I could even try to understand why this had happened...
"What the heck?!" Li had then proceeded to exclaim from out of seemingly nowhere. And before either me or Sakura could attempt to ask Li anything in response. The elevator suddenly and without warning, wound up suddenly tipping sharply to one side. And at first both me and Sakura were confused. But while we both wound up stumbling back towards one of the walls of the elevator. What I didn't expect to happen, was for there not to be a wall there. Which was confirmed as me and Sakura wound up briefly stepping on what was clearly air for a brief moment. Only for us both to fall backwards and into the elevator shaft.
And as both me and Sakura proceeded to fall down the shaft. I could only just make out Li calling out both of our names. But thankfully, both me and Sakura were quick to act in this situation. As only about a second or so later, as we both proceeded to fall down the elevator shaft. I had then proceeded to go and pull out the Float Card. And once I turned to Sakura, and then proceeded to give her a nod, to which Sakura then returned the nod back to me to indicate that we were both ready. We both then proceeded to go and pull out our respective Star keys.
"Key of the stars, with powers burning bright, reveal the staff, and shine your light, Release!" Me and Sakura both chanted in unison. And after a sever gust of wind and sand. Both of our respective Star Keys expanded into our respective Star Staffs. Which was then followed by both of us then proceeding twirling them, and then finishing off with our usual battle ready poses.
And as I then proceeded to go and throw the Float Card up into the air. And as it spun in place above me and Sakura as we continued to fall down the elevator shaft. We both then once again proceeded to raise our respective Star staffs. "We call upon the power of our stars, ancient forces near and far, Float Card discard your former might, and draw your power from our light, Star Card!" Both me and Sakura proceeded to chant together in unison. Which as the wings on each of our Star staffs proceeded to expand and grow outwards a little bit. This then prompted the Float Card to stop spinning, which was then quickly followed by the new design to show up on both the front and the back of it. Which was blue on one side, and pink on the other. And as the Float Card spirit appeared, and then proceeded to swoop in under both me and Sakura. And not only did we both stop falling, but the Float Card spirit then proceeded to carry us both back up to Li.
And Li was very relived that both of us were okay. And after he hugged me, he then wound up hugging Sakura, albeit, only it was a bit of a tighter embrace then the hug he had given me. And this was when I knew that something was going on between Li and Sakura. But rather than me trying to pry further, I decided to keep it to myself.
But, even though me and Sakura had now once again managed to transform yet another one of the Clow Cards into a Star Card. Neither of us actually knew, that our magical journey was only just beginning. And more importantly, as we would wind up learning at some point in the future, our situation was only at least one fourth, of what was actually a much larger picture. But, that is something that is for a far much later date.
