Chapter 288 - Chapter 288

Bibi Dong didn't dodge Ye Feng's touch, allowing him to hold her delicate hand. Warmth filled her heart as she thought, "Heaven hasn't forgotten me after all. It allowed me to meet you in this lifetime."

"Are you praising me?" Ye Feng asked with a sly grin.

"Yes," she replied softly.

"Then I'm honored. But honestly, I'd rather you show me in a more... practical way than just giving me compliments."

Ye Feng's smile took on a mischievous curve.

"More practical?" Bibi Dong blinked, catching the glint in Ye Feng's eyes and the smirk on his lips. She immediately sensed trouble.

"How exactly do you want me to be practical?" she asked cautiously.

Ye Feng didn't reply with words. Instead, his hand slowly reached toward her buttocks.

"Ah? You're not serious..."

Bibi Dong's cheeks flushed, eyes wide in disbelief.

"Donger, you really are smart," Ye Feng said with a chuckle, pleased with her reaction.

Bibi Dong couldn't take it anymore. She sighed inwardly, thinking that Ye Feng was just too bold. Desperate to change the subject, she quickly said, "Feng, let's focus on destroying the Clear Sky Clan first."

"If I do destroy the Clear Sky Clan will you agree to it?" Ye Feng asked, eyes still filled with a teasing light.

"We'll talk about it when the time comes," Bibi Dong answered calmly.

Her words were noncommittal, but Ye Feng understood her meaning. She didn't outright reject him—there was room for negotiation.

Ye Feng didn't press the issue any further.

Seeing that he'd let it go for now, Bibi Dong thought to herself, It really is easier to talk to someone clever.

The village had already been overrun by Ye Feng's terrifying aura. The villagers either fled or were killed. The settlement, once a haven for the Clear Sky Clan outer disciples, was now an abandoned ghost town.

"This place is beyond saving," Ye Feng muttered.

With a thought, the surrounding fire elements surged. A thick strand of flame appeared in the air like a rope, hovering above the roofs. The fireline dropped onto the buildings, and in moments, the village turned into a blazing inferno.

"You want to make sure those who escaped won't have any memories left—or maybe you just want to erase all traces of the Clear Sky Clan existence, don't you?" Bibi Dong asked thoughtfully.

All the villagers were long gone, so there was no practical need to burn the village—unless Ye Feng had a bigger goal in mind.

"Time can erase many things," Ye Feng said slowly. "But I want the Clear Sky Clan to become a forgotten page in history. No one should even remember that it ever existed."

If no one even remembers the name of the Clear Sky Clan, that would be the ultimate destruction. It showed how thoroughly Ye Feng intended to crush them.

Tang Hao, who had been captured, heard the conversation and roared, "Ye Feng, Xiao San will definitely come for revenge!"

"You think I'm afraid of that?" Ye Feng shot back.

"You think Feng is doing this just to erase all traces of the Clear Sky Clan?" Bibi Dong asked Tang Hao, raising an eyebrow.

Tang Hao frowned. "What do you mean?"

He pondered for a moment before realization struck. His eyes widened. "You… You're doing this to provoke Xiao San? To make him come to you?"

"Congratulations, Tang Hao," Ye Feng said smugly. "You got the answer right. Unfortunately, there's no prize."

"Ye Feng, you're despicable!" Tang Hao spat.

He tried to lunge forward but couldn't move. His entire body was bound by gray energy, his spirit power completely sealed. Even death was out of his reach now.

"Despicable?" Ye Feng sneered. "Everyone else in the world might have the right to call me that—but not you."

He stepped closer, voice cold.

"My mother treated you with kindness. But without any proof, you assumed my parents betrayed your location. You didn't ask a single question—you just murdered them. And let's not forget, you tried to steal the Blue Silver Empress's spirit bone and spirit ring too. Tell me, who's the despicable one?"

"If you've got the guts, then kill me now!" Tang Hao roared.

Ye Feng smiled. "Tang Hao, my woman knows best whether I have guts or not. I told you, I'll let you live just long enough to watch me destroy the Clear Sky Clan with your own eyes. A man keeps his word."

As they talked, they passed through the blazing ruins and reached the mountain path behind the village. A towering cliff, over a hundred feet high, stood before them.

The cliff walls were nearly vertical—like a massive natural fortress. Upon close inspection, there were shallow indentations on the cliff face, spaced more than ten meters apart. Without reaching the Spirit Elder rank, no one could climb it. And even then, if defenders were stationed at the top, the ascent would be nearly impossible.

"Attack!"

A voice echoed from above. Instantly, trees and boulders were thrown down toward Ye Feng and Bibi Dong.

"You've got to be kidding me," Ye Feng scoffed. "Is that seriously their strategy?"

With a wave of his hand, gray energy rippled out from his body, forming a barrier around him. Bibi Dong did the same, except her aura glowed with a dark purple-black hue—the divine power of the Rakshasa God.

The two barriers effortlessly blocked the falling debris—and then reflected the attack back up, forcing the Clan disciples to retreat in panic.

"Let's go up," Ye Feng said.

"Alright." Bibi Dong nodded.

They didn't bother using the indentations. Instead, the two of them simply floated upward.

By the time they reached the summit, the sect's disciples had already fled.

A breathtaking scene unfolded before them.

Snow blanketed the mountaintop like a white carpet. Sharp mountain peaks stood like stone spears piercing the sky, forming a jagged forest of rock. Thick black iron chains connected the peaks, each span more than three hundred meters across—natural moats of stone and air.

"Easy to defend, hard to attack," Bibi Dong murmured. "The Clear Sky Clan really did pick an ideal spot for seclusion. If I hadn't become a god, and if Spirit Hall attacked them back then, we would've paid a heavy price—no doubt about it."

"Bibi Dong, the Clear Sky Clan has long cut ties with the world," an old man shouted from across the peaks. "We've done nothing to your Spirit Hall. Why are you attacking us?"

"No reason," Ye Feng replied coldly. "I just want revenge on Tang Hao."
