Sequence 9: Corpse Collector
::
From this stage forward, these Beyonders will become increasingly afraid of Sunlight and Purification.
• PHYSICAL ENHANCEMENT: A Corpse Collector, upon drinking the potion, will not only gain enhanced physical attributes but will also develop a gloomy presence and a lower body temperature.
A Corpse Collector will gain resistance to the Cold, Decay, and Corrosiveness of cadaveric auras, making them resistant to such effects to a certain extent.
Their gloomy presence and lower body temperature will prevent a Corpse Collector from being attacked by Undead creatures and Spirits.
• SPIRITUALITY: Their Spirituality is slightly enhanced as a Beyonder, allowing them to use Spirit Vision.
• SPIRIT VISION: A Corpse Collector can use Spirit Vision to see non-physical things, such as ghosts and specters. They could see the different parts of a Soul, deduce a person's health and emotions, and determine if something has a magical aura.
Due to their unique nature, a Corpse Collector is able to directly see spiritual bodies, including a portion of Evil Spirits and restless Wraiths, even without activating their Spirit Vision.
• KNOWLEDGE (Undead): Corpse Collectors will gain an abundant wealth of information pertaining to the specific characteristics and weaknesses of many Undead creatures.
This also includes just regular corpses which makes a Corpse Collector an expert on autopsy.

Blackish corpse fluid reeking of decay.[2]
«Beyonder Characteristic Appearance»
Pale leather covered in rotting black spots.[2]
«Potion Formula»
≈Main Ingredients
A desiccated mature Black-spotted Frog.[1][2]
Cloth-wrapped Person's Crystal.[2]
Or
A Corpse Collector Beyonder Characteristic.

::
Sequence 8: Gravedigger
::
• PHYSICAL ENHANCEMENT: They become physically stronger and more agile.
• SPIRITUALITY: They gain an increase in their Spirituality.
• SPIRIT VISION: Their ability to use Spirit Vision is enhanced.
• SPIRIT COMMUNICATION: They are able to communicate with nearby Spirits, allowing them to provide the Beyonder with help.
Gravediggers can command them to do simple actions such as tightly grasping onto a target to immobilize them.[4]
• EYE OF DEATH: By pressing down on their eyes, it will turn gray then colorless, allowing them to quickly determine the weaknesses of even unfamiliar Undead and Spirit World creatures through observation.[5]
It's as though they enter the world of spirits and a kingdom of Dead souls, looking down at the enemy from a higher vantage point as they search for a "node."
Rampagers—Beyonders who have lost control—count as Dead souls.
«Potion Properties»
Dark green liquid streaked with blood.[2]
«Beyonder Characteristic Appearance»
A blood-stained eye.[2]
«Potion Formula»
≈Main Ingredients
Death-Calling Crow's eyeball.[2]
1 Cemetery Blood Rose.[2]
Or
A Gravedigger Beyonder Characteristic.
≈Supplementary Ingredients
100 milliliters of pure alcohol.[2]
3 Death-Calling Crow feathers.[2]
5 Cemetery Blood Rose leaves.[2]
9 drops of Corpse-scented essential oil.[2]
::
Sequence 7: Spirit Medium
::
• PHYSICAL ENHANCEMENTS: Compared to the previous two Sequences, the Spirit Medium does not gain significant improvements in physique or agility.
• SPIRITUALITY: A Spirit Medium's Spirituality has been greatly enhanced.
• SPIRITUAL PERCEPTION: Their Spiritual Perception becomes extremely strong.
They can sense the hidden Spirits around them even with their eyes closed.
• SPIRIT VISION: Their Spirit Vision becomes more powerful.
• SPIRIT AFFINITY:⁂ To the deceased and natural Spirits around them, the Spirit Medium is akin to that of a fellow Spirit and thus not dangerous to them.
If the Spirit Medium is friendly enough, those deceased and natural Spirits will even take the initiative to pass on information to them.
• SPIRIT CHANNELING: Their core ability is Spirit Channeling, allowing them to directly communicate with the natural Spirits and loitering dead souls in the real world.
With the advancement of each Sequence, the quantity and quality of natural Spirits, Undead and Spirit World creatures they can control and order increases exponentially.
They can use different Spirits to actualize different kinds of effects, creating various kinds of supernatural phenomena in a rather multifaceted way.
Theoretically, a Spirit Channeling done by a Spirit Medium can involve only 1 Spirit.[6]
Most Spirits need corresponding materials to safely communicate with.
These ingredients include but are not limited to Full Moon Essence Oil, Corpse Incense Medication, as well as a Spirit Medium's own blood.[7]
Some examples of the Spirits they have been shown to use are:
•ILLUSORY EYE:⁂ A Spirit World Creature with a nearly transparent eye and ghastly-pale eye whites, looking down from above without blinking.[8]
It allows them to scout areas from afar, a Spirit Medium's version of a telescope.
• FROST SHADOW:⁂ A Spirit that can create a considerable Frozen domain within a 10 to 20 meter range, and can materialize a layer of armor-like Ice and a colossal, sharp, and crystalline Frost scythe.[7][9]
This is among the most powerful Spirits they can Channel without the use of materials.
• EARTH SPIRIT:⁂ A Natural Spirit[10] with a pair of weathered, stone-like hands, it can be used to soften the ground like a swamp and drag a target underground, like a Druid's Underground Slink.[7]
This Spirit needs their blood to be Channeled.
Since they can directly communicate with natural Spirits and ghosts, they have informants everywhere that can alert them of any danger or information.[11]
It can also be used on living creatures to directly communicate with their Spirits to obtain real information, but this method holds a lot of danger for them.
Channeling a living Soul is difficult due to that Soul possessing its own will; however, this could be faced by a Spirit Medium with two methods.
Spirit Mediums can use their powerful Spirituality to triumph over the will of the other person, engaging in a barbaric method of communication.
They can use medication to make the other party relax. Some examples are using Amantha Essence and Eye of the Spirit medication.
They have the means to protect themselves under the risk of being infected by a living Beyonder's potent Spirituality, which can't be learned or used by Beyonders of other Pathways. This is the case even when those means are explained to them.[12]
A Spirit Medium is able to directly Channel recently deceased Spirits, such as fallen enemies, in order to obtain even more information from them.[13]
A Spirit Medium could communicate with surrounding Spirits or through specific directions and descriptions without needing Ritualistic Magic.[14]
However, unlike a Dancer, they cannot rely on a Summoning Dance and a location's uniqueness to attract more distant, hidden Spirits.
• ZOMBIE DISGUISE:⁂ They can also Disguise themselves as a Zombie in order to better endure the erosion of Decay, Cold, Death and other auras.
•• Strengthened Abilities[1]
• KNOWLEDGE (Mysticism): They gain knowledge of various kinds of Ritualistic Magic related to Spirits.
They are armed with knowledge on how to deal with the dangers that come with Channeling a living creature's Spirit, as well as the effective communication methods in such a state.[12]
• EYE OF DEATH: This Beyonder power becomes more powerful.
«Potion Properties»
Transparent liquid with psychedelic hues.[2]
«Beyonder Characteristic Appearance»
Semi-real semi-illusory mirror surface concealing indescribable entities.[2]
«Potion Formula»
≈Main Ingredients
Phantom Cat's forepaw.[2]
1 piece of Spirit World Crystal.[2]
Or
A Spirit Medium Beyonder Characteristic.
≈Supplementary Ingredients
80 milliliters of a Phantom Cat blood.[2]
10 grams of Spirit World Crystal-contaminated soil.[2]
5 milliliters of brain matter from an evil spirit possession victim.[2]
1 leaf blessed by a natural spirit.[2]
::
Sequence 6: Spirit Guide
::
It is clear that Spirit Guides are very powerful against Zombies and Wraiths, and can even effectively target Evil Spirits. They can directly control groups of ownerless Undead that are of similar status to themselves; however, when facing Higher Sequence Beyonders of the Death Symbol2 Death Pathway, their slaves are very prone to rebelling, and so are they themselves.
• LANGUAGE OF THE DEAD: By speaking a mystical language, they can urge a target's Spirit to leave a body, bypassing the physical protection provided by flesh and blood to target the Spirit Body.[3][15]
This is an advancement of a Spirit Medium's powers. It could go from direct communication with the Spirit Body to that of commandeering and Enslavement.[15]
As Marionettes are considered dead, a Spirit Guide can interfere and influence a Marionette; however, at Sequence 4, the core of a Marionette can have a Worm of Spirit inside. Thus, at those stages it also depends on multiple factors like relative strength of both sides, condition, how much effort is exerted, etc.[16]
• RESURRECTION: They can turn corpses into living skeletons and Zombies; however, this kind of Resurrection does not allow the reanimated corpse to have any will or vitality.[17]
if a Beyonder of the Death Symbol2 Death Pathway transforms a Beyonder whose body and Soul are intact, but who has lost their Beyonder Characteristics from when they were alive into an Undead, it will exhibit the Traits of the Undead itself and the Traits resulting from the transformation of the body and Soul by the Beyonder Characteristics, such as the hardness of a corpse, etc.[18]
•• Strengthened Abilities[1]
• SPIRIT CHANNELING: They can influence and are involved in the Spirit World, able to recruit messengers on their own, as well as obtain help from certain Spirit World creatures.
Compared to a Spirit Medium who needs to perform Spirit Channeling on site to achieve different effects, they can control and drive deceased and natural Spirits to fight in advance.
However, making these deceased and natural Spirits always follow their commands without being discovered and affected by other factors is a significant problem for a Spirit Guide.
In comparison with a Spirit Medium's capabilities, Spirit Guides are now capable of controlling groups of ownerless Undead that are of similar status to themselves.
The upper limit of Undead and Spirits they can control numbers in the thousands.[6]
The strength of a Spirit Guide depends on the deceased or a natural Spirits they have found and controlled. This is the same with Spirit Warlocks.
However, the inclination for Spirit Guides are deceased Spirits, while Spirit Warlocks are better at controlling natural Spirits.[19]
They can swap their own Spirit with the Undead under their command to be effectively immune to attacks that target the Soul Body.
To combat the Spell of Harrumph, Burman used this technique to set a trap for Lumian Lee .[20]
Some examples of the creatures that have been shown to be under their command are:
• SHADOW-SWALLOWING PYTHON: A decaying, skeletal python oozing yellowish-green pus. An Undead creature specialized in consuming shadows and shadowy creatures.[21]
Its fangless mouth resembles a vortex, emitting a hurried, piercing sound. It can emit a suction force that tugs at the surrounding shadows, drawing them in.
Under their command, they can make the python target only their enemy instead of indiscriminately swallowing their allies or the Spirit Guide themself hidden in shadows.
• DEATH KNIGHT: A towering figure—a knight adorned in tattered black armor and a broadsword.[21]
Pale flames flicker in its eye sockets and putrid liquid seeps from its armor's crevices, with only sticky flesh clinging to its exposed skin.
• LIVING SHADOW:⁂ A tall, thin shadow that can emerge from the shadows in translucent form.[21]
It can lunge at a target, resembling the possession of Wraiths and evil spirits, but lacks the speed to complete the process in a mere blink.
• GODDESS OF THE LAKE: A powerful type of spirit, one that brings horror.[22]
It appears as a foggy lake shimmering with light, producing a tranquil beauty. In the middle, concentric circles ripple out as beautiful and illusory figures float up.
Various Undead creatures can appear from the void and help them complete different tasks.
They can drag the Spirit Guide into the shadows, disappearing without a trace, even if their master is knocked unconscious.[21]
They can make the Spirit Guide swiftly soar, as if dragged by an unseen force.[21]
They can grab onto a target to restrain them.[20]
They can control a weak spirit from great distances for communication, reaching from Backlund to Tingen City.[23][24]
• KNOWLEDGE (Spirit World): They have considerable information about the Spirit World.
«Potion Properties»
Yellowish-green liquid with intense corpse stench.[2]
«Beyonder Characteristic Appearance»
Pale stone encircled by numerous shadows.[2]
A pale-white right eye veiled in darkness.[3]
«Potion Formula»
≈Main Ingredients
Shadow of Death.[2]
Soul of a Pale Lich's.[2]
Or
A Spirit Guide Beyonder Characteristic.
≈Supplementary Ingredients
100 milliliters of decomposing fluid from the dead.[2]
Fragmented bones of Pale Lich.[2]
Object inhabited by Shadow of Death.[2]
1 lingering Wraith.[2]
::
Sequence 5: Gatekeeper
::
• PHYSICAL ENHANCEMENT: They become stronger and quicker, one step can allow them to suddenly close the distance against opponents and thrust at lightning speed, bringing vigorous wind currents.[15]
• SPIRITUAL PERCEPTION: They can acutely sense if an unknown creature is crossing the Spirit World and approaching a place near them.[25]
• DOOR TO THE UNDERWORLD: They can sense the entrance to the Underworld, allowing them to control the Undead inside, as though they watched over the gates that separated the dead from the living.
They can use the powers of the Door to the Underworld to some extent. They can imprint the door's mark onto the palm of their hand and summon it at critical moments.
It can be used to drag targets behind the gate which led to the Underworld, where all living creatures immediately die.
The Door has a terrifying suction force. Most of it would be directed towards a target, though the remnant forces would continue to pull on the surroundings.[26]
The main target can't help but stumble and be drawn in, while those nearby would find it difficult to even take a step.
The suction force generated from the Door can also be used to clear the environment of airborne poison.
Gatekeepers are able to use the Door to absorb the Fog of War of the Red Priest Symbol2 Red Priest Pathway.[27]
Aside from the suction force, bloody, skinless arms, slimy tentacles with teeth, and bluish-black vines with baby faces emerge from the Door to the Underworld to grab targets and drag them within.[28]
It can be used let the Underworld descend upon reality.[22]
Internal Underworld: Using their bodies as a cage, they can house numerous Souls, deceased, and natural Spirits, allowing them to bring an Undead army wherever they go in a non eye-catching manner.[29]
Normally, the entrance to the Internal Underworld is at the center of the Gatekeeper's brow.
With this, they gain various unique abilities and possess powerful helpers, for example:
• DEATH ENVOY: A unique ability of Ludwell's. It turns his arms illusory, letting it instantly cover a significant distance and either remotely extract a target's Spirit Body[30] or squash them.[26]
As the pale palm approaches, the target would seem to be possessed by a Wraith or Evil Spirit. The soft sobbing sounds of the Death Envoy causes the target's body to go numb, as though their blood had frozen.
This makes it difficult to produce an effective response, the target can only watch in despair as death approaches, feeling their vitality deplete at an increasing rate.
It also allows Ludwell to produce a silent screech, striking and temporarily freezing attacks midair.[15]
• PUS OF MAN:⁂ A strange deceased spirit that Ulika fused with, it will quickly dissipate if it doesn't use a human body as a "house".[22]
Even after undergoing Purification from the Golden Sundial, Ulika survived by transforming into a miniature form with raven-black skin and flowing, sticky pus.
Powerful Spirits and Undead creatures may erode their body from within.
The Death Envoy within Ludwell turned him into a half-human, half-dead existence, allowing him to enter the Underworld without perishing.[29]
Special items can help them better control the spirits within their Internal Underworld.
Ludwell used a mask that placates the soul to keep the Death Envoy in a relatively calm state most of the time.[29]
As this can be considered a miniature Underworld, Gatekeepers are a prime target of possession for Evil Spirits as they provide an adequate environment for their existence.
Strengthened Abilities
• SPIRIT CHANNELING: The maximum number of Undead and Spirits that a Gatekeeper can control has slightly increased, but it doesn't change much.[6]
Some examples of the Spirits they have been shown to use are:
• PALE GIRL:⁂ A nearly illusory girl with pale skin, bluish-green eyes, and jet black lips.[22]
She has ghastly pale and translucent limbs that could bring a chill to the Spirit Body, which can help the Gatekeeper resist the influence of a Nightmare.
Aside from controlling the Undead manning the Black Tulip, Ludwell summoned translucent, illusory ferocious creatures from the sea, charging forward like an unending tidal wave.[8]
«Potion Properties»
Illusory liquid with dark vortices extending to the bottle's bottom.[2]
«Beyonder Characteristic Appearance»
A shattered skull, housing a dangerously illusory gate.[2]
«Potion Formula»
≈Main Ingredients
Skull of an Underworld Wanderer.[2]
Crystal core left by a Thousand-Armed Wraith.[2]
Or
A Gatekeeper Beyonder Characteristic.
≈Supplementary Ingredients
100 milliliters of water tainted by aura of death.[2]
1 piece of rotten flesh from Underworld Wanderer.[2]
10 grams of residual powder of a Thousand-Armed Wraith.[2]
10 drops of deep crimson Red Spider Lily essential oil.[2]
«Advancement Ritual»
Find a place where the aura of the Underworld leaks through, make contact, and survive.[4]
::
Sequence 4: Undying
::
• PHYSICAL ENHANCEMENT: Physical attacks are no longer fatal unless their body is completely destroyed.
• SPIRIT BODY: An Undying is able to exist in a state that is between a physical body and a Spirit Body.[31]
• REINCARNATION: They possess a long lifespan; however, every 60 years, they will die and then Resurrect, forgetting all their memories and resetting their madness levels. From there, they must then slowly retrieve their memories, as if starting a new life.[32][33]
This is not completely without risk, the Undying would leave behind a death imprint in the River of Eternal Darkness with each Death. Once the number of Deaths reaches a certain level, their true bodies might be attracted to this Sefirah one day, causing them to truly die.[34]
Dying too many times leads to an Undying's death imprints being washed away from the River of Eternal Darkness, making their memories impossible to recover; their intelligence and rationality will degrade over time, eventually turning into wandering Undead monsters.
• UNDERWORLD AUTHORITY: They are more closely connected to the Underworld and can directly utilize its power.
Sealing: They can use the Underworld to Seal objects. This includes Sealed Artifacts, allowing them to reduce their negative effects.[35]
Initially, Creeping Hunger needed to be fed a human's soul and flesh every day.[36] After Azik Eggers Sealed it, it only needed to be fed every time it was used.[37]
After fusing with Mr. A, Creeping Hunger lost its Seal, gained living characteristics, and periodically praised the True Creator.[38] After Azik Eggers Sealed it once more, it reverted to how it was before,[39] though it would praise the True Creator if told to do so.[40]
• SPIRIT WORLD TRAVERSAL: They can use their connection to the Underworld as an anchor to gain a certain degree of Spirit World Traversal.[41]
•• Strengthened Abilities[1]
• DOOR TO THE UNDERWORLD: Directly uses the power of the Underworld to create a combat environment favorable to themselves.
This battlefield will inflict enemies with the attraction, summoning, and ravings from within the Underworld.
Additionally, if lucky or well-connected in the Underworld, they could summon dangerous Undead creatures into reality.
This includes Styx Servants, which are equivalent to Ferrymen.[42]
• LANGUAGE OF THE DEAD: At this stage, the Language of the Dead will evolve into a Spell system related to Death, Spirits, Zombies, Withering, and Enslavement.
• WITHERING WIND:⁂ It brings about a gust of Cold wind that silently causes Withering.
Patrick Bryan created a cold gust of Withering Wind that caused a glass window to quickly crumble into countless "snowflakes".[41]
∞↓MYTHICAL CREATURE FORM↓∞
As Sequence 4 Demigods they receive some level of Godhood, and with it comes an incomplete Mythical Creature Form. Disregarding all consequences, they can release their incomplete Mythical Creature Form to become an incomplete Quetzalcoatl, also known as a Feathered Serpent.
«Potion Properties»
A pale potion that remains perfectly still—no ripples, even when exposed to wind or shaken.[2]
«Beyonder Characteristic Appearance»
Hollow, blackened, and greenish serpent skin.[2]
«Potion Formula»
≈Main Ingredients
Gallbladder of a Decaying Feathered Serpent.[2]
Molt of the Immortal Cicada.[2]
Or
A Undying Beyonder Characteristic.
≈Supplementary Ingredients
90 milliliters of bodily fluid from the Decaying Feathered Serpent.[2]
9 pieces of bark from the tree where the Immortal Cicada once resided.[2]
One Eternal Darkness Stone.[2]
One Pale Red Spider Lily.[2]
«Advancement Ritual»
Locate an underground river tainted by death. Hold a genuine funeral by its banks, then bury yourself and the potion there for sixty days. If you fail to survive or retain sufficient sanity after sixty days, the ritual fails.[4]
Note 1: Failure invariably results in the birth of a dangerous Corpse King.
Note 2: Many Western Continent cultivators misunderstand this ritual's true purpose. Lacking Beyonder characteristics, they instead focus on the "failure" outcome, believing it to be the true success—a chance to refine terrifying Jiangshi.
Note 3: Some cultivators have modified this ritual, creating Xian Ascension Techniques akin to Supreme Yin Body Refinement. The "Supreme Yin" essence represents the moon's purity, the water's brilliance, the far north's intent, winter's zenith, and the duality of yin and yang. The flaws and root causes of this method's issues… well, I don't need to elaborate further, do I?
::
Sequence 3: Ferryman
::
• PHYSICAL ENHANCEMENT: Most forms of attack, aside from Purification (like that of the Tyrant Symbol2 Tyrant or Sun Symbol2 Sun Pathway), are ineffective against the Ferryman, as though no one can kill a dead person.[43]
• DEATH: They wield partial authority over Death.
Any living being that makes eye contact with the Ferryman will die instantly; even entities with Godhood will suffer devastating damage.[43]
Even without direct eye contact, those caught by the Ferryman's gaze will slowly Wither away, as if being ferried across the river of Death inch by inch.
From here on, they will become a part of the Underworld and Death itself.[44]
Near the River Styx or its tributaries, Ferrymen can effectively utilize the power of those rivers.[1]
They can float on the River Styx without sinking. Even when facing the true River of Eternal Darkness or its tributaries, they can remain afloat for a very short time—two seconds at their current stage.[1]
Using a boat, they can cross the River Styx and ferry others with them.[45][46]
Normally, attempting to cross these rivers by Flying or floating above them would cause one to fall straight into them.[47][48]
The Ferryman traverses back and forth between Life and Death.
Those touched by their left hand will almost irreversibly approach Death.
Those touched by their right hand will reverse the process of Death, regaining Life.
• UNDYING: A Ferryman will not die naturally. As they gradually transform into a sentient undead being, they will not instantly perish within the Underworld.[1][49]
∞↓MYTHICAL CREATURE FORM↓∞
As a Sequence 3 Beyonder, they can respond to prayers within a certain range.
«Potion Properties»
Dark and deep; even falling dust sinks swiftly into the liquid and vanishes.[2]
«Beyonder Characteristic Appearance»
A core-like object stained with pale yellow grease, containing a dim, pus-like essence.[2]
«Potion Formula»
≈Main Ingredients
Pus Core of a Styx Servant.[2]
Or
The brain of an adult Feathered Serpent.[2]
Or
A Ferryman Beyonder Characteristic.
≈Supplementary Ingredients
90 milliliters of one's own blood.[2]
Choose one of:[2]
9 drops of pus from a Styx Servant
9 feathers from an adult Feathered Serpent
One Undead from the depths of the Underworld (both Styx Servants and Undead from the depths of the Underworld can be summoned via a personal Door to the Underworld).[2]
A flower blooming from one's own decayed flesh.[2]
«Advancement Ritual»
Step through a self-summoned Door to the Underworld, ingest the potion, and die within.[4]
Note 1: From then on, the Ferryman becomes part of the Underworld and death itself.
Note 2: Before the Phoenix Ancestor established the Underworld and before the First Blasphemy Slate appeared, this ritual didn't exist.
Note 3: In the Western Continent, whether it's the Haoli Land, the Yellow Springs, or the Netherworld, each serves the same effect as the Underworld.
::
Sequence 2: Death Consul
::
• DEATH: "They" wield partial authority over Death.
Absolute Death: "They" can strip all vitality from an area. Before "Them", most Resurrection or Substitution abilities become ineffective.
A Miracle Invoker's Resurrection that involves History and Change is an exception.
• NATION OF THE DEAD: "They" can create a large city-sized domain filled with Death and Pallor where life not strong enough will instantly die and transform into Undead creatures.
Even beings with Godhood will begin to slowly Wither and Perish.
Dead Death Consuls are still Death Consuls. The boundary between Life and Death no longer applying to "Them", making "Them" extremely hard to kill.
Only by relying on special powers and methods can a Death Consul are be completely erased and reverted back into Beyonder Characteristics.
This doesn't mean "They" are immortal as "Their" consciousness would gradually erode, becoming an eternally living walking corpse.
"They" can manipulate the objects produced by the corruption from the power at the source of the River Styx.[50]
The spring water of the Samaritan Women's Spring has multiple effects including repairing Souls, inducing Sleep, bringing complete Death or true Dreams, and granting lucidity in Dreams. "They" can make it manifest only one quality and enhance that effect.
Azik Eggers made it so that anyone who touches the spring water will fall into a long Sleep, "Himself" included.
It has a slight effect on True Gods, but not much, unless that deity is already very weak or in a state of slumber.
Reversing its effects requires more spring water processed in a similar way but with the opposite effect or help from a True God with the corresponding authority.
• ENSLAVEMENT: Death Consuls are capable of issuing commands that Beyonders below Sequence 2 of the Death Symbol2 Death Pathway are nearly incapable of resisting.
Even Undead creatures of the Angel level—including Evil Spirits—are extraordinarily vulnerable when facing "Them".
Undead: Death Consuls do more damage against the Undead and have a suppression effect based on status which applies to all Undead.[44][51]
•• Strengthened Abilities
• KING OF THE DEAD: A Death Consul is a King of the Dead, who is capable of housing a vast Undead army within "Their" own Internal Underworld.
At the same time, "They" can find and directly summon helpers from the Underworld.
Other Beyonder powers from previous Sequences have been enhanced.
∞↓MYTHICAL CREATURE FORM↓∞
"They" become a complete Mythical Creature. "Their" Mythical Creature Form is a Feathered Serpent (Quetzalcōātl), a serpent that is illusory and real. "Their" entire body is covered with huge dark-green scales while white feathers stained with pale yellow oil grow out from the gaps. On each feather, illusory black tubes extend outward, and each scale and feather bears strange symbols of different shapes.[42]
Just the mere sight of "Them" would cause one's flesh to decompose, turning all those who look at "Them" into Zombies and various other Undead creatures.[52]
A phantom image of "Their" Mythical Creature Form can give the sensation of rapid death, a type of damage that Mirror Substitution couldn't transfer.[50]
In "Their" Mythical Creature Form, "They" are capable of spatting out a Pale-White Flame that is able to cover an entire mausoleum.[52]
«Potion Properties»
A deep black liquid formed from the condensed aura of death, radiating an overwhelming presence, with countless numb faces protruding from it.[2]
«Beyonder Characteristic Appearance»
A crown made of black bones.[2]
«Potion Formula»
≈Main Ingredients
Skull of an Ancient Feathered Serpent.[2]
Or
A Death Consul Beyonder Characteristic.
≈Supplementary Ingredients
90 milliliters of fluid from an Ancient Feathered Serpent.[2]
A coffin that once held one's own body.[2]
A crown that once symbolized royal authority.[2]
A pale object from the depths of the Underworld.[2]
«Advancement Ritual»
Become the ruler of one layer of the Underworld or transform an entire nation into a land of the dead, then anchor the Door to the Underworld within it.[4]
Note 1: For descendants acknowledged by the God of Death, the first method is straightforward.
Note 2: Death Consuls hold authority to judge the dead. In the Western Continent, figures like the Ten Yama Kings and Five Ghost Emperors share similar duties.
Note 3: The Western Continent's Netherworld also holds authority over reincarnation.
Note 4: Before the Underworld was created by the Phoenix Ancestor, one can only advance to Sequence 2 by luck.[5]
::
Sequence 1: Pale Emperor
::
∞↓AUTHORITIES↓∞
• PALLOR (Pale World): "They" can create a world that is devoid of all color, leaving only Pallor.
In this Pale World, colors Die and Beyonder powers Wither. Any Beyonder power that manifests color will suffer immense weakening and will eventually fail completely.
This heavily restricts the Painted Worlds of the Sublunary Eye Symbol2 Sublunary Eye Pathway.[53]
Black[54] and white[55] both count as a colors, they, too, will turn Pale.
A clean and bright spear of flame, an Unshadowed Spear, will also be eroded, but it itself would disperse the Pallor.[55]
Inanimate objects and abstract concepts can also be weathered. Even the concept of Death itself can weather away and dissipate.[54]
The effects of being weathered under the Pallor happens extremely quickly; thousands of years would appear to be washed away in a short span of 2 seconds.
Weathered objects would display some characteristics of a Feathered Serpent, namely, they would grow white feathers soaked with light-yellow oil.
What was labeled as "Death" wasn't the Endpoint. When those affected become weathered or degraded to a certain extent, they would reform, as ethereal auras quickly grow.
The power of the Earth and the Rules of the world would also be eroded.
In the Pale-white Nation of the Underworld, falling 40-50 meters is no different than jumping from a 5-6 meter building.[56][Pale Emperor 1]
• ENSLAVEMENT: "They" possess the authority of Enslavement.
• SOUL CONTROL: "They" have a chance to directly extract the target's Spirit Body from their body. Even if unsuccessful, it will cause the target severe mental chaos and diminished vitality.
Sovereign of Spirits: Without deliberate effort, "They" appear extreme noble, devoid of the aura of the living—like an illusory deity that lorded over the countless Undead.
"They" can suppress and even Enslave any creature with a Soul, no longer limited to Dead creatures and Beyonders of the Death Symbol2 Death Pathway.
Through this aura, the living's thoughts will gradually Die along with their body until they become a corpse and "Their" Slave.[57][54]
Sovereign of Spirits is not a Beyonder power, but rather a trait derived from the authority of Enslavement.
• DEATH: They wield partial authority over Death.
• DEATH DECREE: Any target seen or pointed at by "Them" will Die instantly.
This works on all beings below the level of a True God, and is capable of harming True Gods.[58]
This is a mechanistic ability, so the way to avoid it is not to be seen or pointed at by "Them", or use other methods that can counter it mechanically.[58]
"They" can create a symbol which appears like a long-feathered bird or a Coiled Feathered Serpent, in order to Seal targets.[59]
The symbol absorbs the surrounding light and will quickly turn corporeal, before flying towards the target, causing the surroundings to become increasingly dim, suffering another round of Weathering as if the Deity in charge of Death had passed the Final Judgment, until it fuses with them. The symbol constantly influences the target until "They" stop responding.
Using the Pale Death, Bernadette Gustav caused the certain living characteristic the Sage Frontlet had obtained to be rapidly dispersed, as though it had reached the end of its life.[57]
It also made her right eye quelled and her eyelashes which had turned thicker and longer into arms began to fall off one by one. Her ears didn't make any noises either. They slowly opened and returned to normal.
Without such a suppression, her facial features, arms, and legs would've broken apart to seek "freedom."
Strengthened Abilities
"Their" Beyonder powers from previous Sequences have been improved.
«Potion Properties»
Absolute paleness, absolute silence—no other color, no other trace.[2]
«Beyonder Characteristic Appearance»
A throne formed from pale bones.[2]
«Potion Formula»
≈Main Ingredients
The left claw of Gregrace.[2]
Or
The right eye of Salinger.[2]
Or
A Pale Emperor Beyonder Characteristic.
≈Supplementary Ingredients
9 drops of River Styx water (River Styx is a branch of the River of Eternal Darkness that emerged in the Underworld).[2]
1 Angel corpse (without Beyonder Characteristics).[2]
1 Inverted Mausoleum.[2]
«Advancement Ritual»
Ensure your name becomes synonymous with death and the afterlife, remembered and recited by most sentient beings in your domain.[4]
Note 1: Due to the Barrier, the Northern and Southern Continents are isolated from the outside world, and are therefore treated as a separate domain in mysticism—otherwise, completing this ritual would be far harder.
Without the Barrier, the range required for this ritual is a Star System.[6]
Note 2: The same applies to the Western Continent.
Note 3: The same applies to the Forsaken Land of the Gods.[7]
Note 4: In the Western Continent, figures like the Great Emperor of Fengdu and the Buddhist Ksitigarbha possess comparable authority and status.
Note 5: Since the God of Death is still widely regarded as the embodiment of death in the Northern and Southern Continents, "His" descendants can borrow "His" name to shape themselves and complete the ritual. The drawback? They grow increasingly similar to the God of Death—until they become "Him".

∞↓AUTHORITIES↓∞
• DEATH: The authority of Death ascends to a conceptual level.
Life will Die, memories will Die, the connections between things will Die, and even the very imprints of existence will Die.
Although Beyonder Characteristics are Indestructible, they too will briefly Die when facing this authority.
"They" can directly sever the connection between the Fool's Beyonder Characteristics and the Historical Void or directly kill the Beyonder Characteristics themselves, thereby completely killing the Fool and preventing "Their" Resurrection.[60]
"They" can make the Death of Marionettes, Paper Figurine Substitutes, and other similar clones and Substitutes equal to the Death of the main body.[61]
"They" can't affect the Lord of Mysteries, but the Eternal Darkness can do so.
• PALLOR: The ultimate form of Withering, the fading of all things.
Under Pallor, the mind, will, and Beyonder powers alike gradually fall silent and succumb to deathly stillness.
The Purification of the Sun restrains Pallor.[62]
• ENDPOINT: "They" are the final Destination of all things, the common Endpoint of all Life.
This authority overlaps with the authority of the Mother Goddess of Depravity and Darkness.[63]
By relying on the Door Symbol2 Door Pathway's powers, the Underworld was derived from this authority.
Within the Underworld is the River Styx, which is a projection of the River of Eternal Darkness' tributary.[64]
"They" could establish "Their" own Cycle of Reincarnation with aid from the Mother.
This will be similar to the Cycle of Reincarnation formed from the Eternal Darkness and Mother Goddess of Depravity, albeit limited to a single star system.[65]
• UNDEAD: "They" are the very source of Undead existence, the master of all Undead.
"Their" influence over High-Sequence Beyonders of the Death Symbol2 Death Pathway and other high ranking Undead can bypass barriers and Seals.
Artificial Death's low level of activation allowed it to influence High-Sequence Beyonders of the Death Symbol2 Death Pathway that failed their advancement,[11] including Elder Hawick of the City of Silver.[66][67]
Using Artificial Death, the Evernight Goddess influenced Bladel to interfere with Amon[67] and controlled a special Wraith to assist in the hunt for Kotar.[68] Both of these events took place in the Forsaken Land of the Gods.
This authority overlaps with the authority of the Mother Goddess of Depravity and Darkness.[63]
The Eternal Sleeper leans toward the Undead while the Darkness leans toward Natural Spirits.[69]
• ENSLAVEMENT: "They" are the Enslaver of all things who have Souls.[70]
