Eternal Darkness (永恒之暗, Yǒnghéng zhī àn, lit. 'Darkness of Eternity') is the title of the Great Old One of the Darkness Symbol2 Darkness, Death Symbol2 Death, and Twilight Giant Symbol2 Twilight Giant Pathways.
The convergence of the Calamity of Destruction and the Eternal Darkness will form the Fourth Pillar. When the Fourth Pillar is born, the Monarch of Decay will be drawn in and become a part of the Fourth Pillar.[1][2]
Because of this, Pathways of the Eternal Darkness and the Calamity of Destruction groups are exchangeable. But in that case, there's no way to become a Great Old One, unless one can separate the Beyonder Characteristics from before.[3]
The Monarch of Decay can accommodate either the Calamity of Destruction or the Eternal Darkness, though "He" could only choose one. The vice versa also applies.[4]

"They" possess full Authority over the Darkness Symbol2 Darkness, Death Symbol2 Death, and Twilight Giant Symbol2 Twilight Giant Pathways and the corresponding Symbols, which includes but are not limited to the following:
∞ DARKNESS: Authorities over Darkness, Horror, Spirit Body & Spirituality, Concealment, and Misfortune & Catastrophe. This pathway also symbolizes Silence and Eternal Darkness.[6]
∞ DEATH: Authority over Death, Pallor, Undead, Enslavement and the Endpoint. This pathway also symbolizes Death and Eternal Rest.[6]
∞ TWILIGHT GIANT: Authorities over Twilight, Holiness, Combat, and Proxy. This pathway also symbolizes Decay and Passage of Time.[6]

The Symbols, Authorities, and Abilities "They" possess and display at the Above the Sequence level include:
• TERMINATION: "They" are one of the two major parts of the Fourth Pillar.
"Their" Pathways represent the following aspects of the Fourth Pillar:[7]
∞ DEATH: Death and Eternal Rest.
∞ DARKNESS: Silence and Eternal Darkness.
∞ TWILIGHT GIANT: Decay and the Passage of Time.
The Fourth Pillar is formed by the convergence of the Calamity of Destruction and the Eternal Darkness.[8]
Although forceful accommodation to form the Fourth Pillar immediately is impossible, keeping the Calamity of Destruction and Eternal Darkness (or "Their" Sefirot) close together naturally accelerates the universe toward apocalypse symbolism. Prolonged proximity fulfills the prerequisite, then a single touch or contact would trigger it, causing universal destruction and reboot.[9]
The combination of the Calamity of Destruction's powers—the Fire of Destruction, the Chaos Vortex of the Demoness, and the Destruction symbolism of the Red Priest—and the shared powers of the three Pathways from the Eternal Darkness can form a power akin to the Fourth Pillar, capable of completely killing Great Old Ones, including "Their" consciousnesses.[10]
As a Great Existence representing Termination, "They" have the confidence to kill another Great Old One in a short time.[11]
"They" could also replicate the feat of the Celestial Worthy and the Primordial God Almighty scattering the wills of other Sefirot, but without personally accommodating and suppressing them, the consciousness of the Sefirot will slowly coalesce, be born, and return.[12]
∞ GENESIS: "They" possess partial symbolism of Genesis by virtue of partially symbolizing Termination.[13]
The Twilight Giant Symbol2 Twilight Giant possesses both the authority of Twilight which represents the gradual contraction and conclusion of this universe, and the authority of Dawn which signifies the beginning of a new universe.[14]
∞ SINGULARITY OF ALL: The Singularity of All is a Pillar-level symbolism of the Fourth Pillar,[15] an aspect of the Termination symbolism.[16] The Eternal Darkness possesses the incomplete symbolism.
∞ CONCEALMENT: "Their" "Concealment" includes causing someone to be completely forgotten, even erasing them from both Reality and the River of Fate. This is the effect of the Singularity of All as a symbol of Termination; however, this Termination is not yet complete.[17]
∞ SPACE-TIME-IN-ONE: The Space-Time-in-One is a Pillar-level symbolism of the Fourth Pillar,[15] an aspect of the Termination symbolism.[16] The Eternal Darkness possesses the incomplete symbolism.
The Space-Time-in-One has an intrinsic relation to the Light Cone.[Note 1]
Time is similar to the Light Cone. Because within the Light Cone is Fate, the extension of Fate is the extension in Space-Time, and the Space-Time in One also approximates to the Fate in One, symbolizing that Fate returns to Termination.[19]
∞ LIGHT: Where Time and Space become one is Darkness.[19] This is why "They" symbolize the contraction and collapse of Light.[20][21]
∞ TWILIGHT: The Twilight authority of the Twilight Giant Symbol2 Twilight Giant is derived from the symbol of Light, Space-Time, and Decay.[22]
The Space-Time-in-One symbol mutually counteracts the King of Space-Time symbol from the Lord of Mysteries depending on the occasion and circumstances, with the Space-Time-in-One being slightly more dominant.[23]
"They" can converge Space and Time onto "Themselves" or towards a single point, thereby halting or delaying entities or events.[24][25]
Amanises unleashed deep Darkness like a river from the void, pulling Time and Space into "Herself" and merging them swiftly. This managed to halt the Circle of Inevitability's spinning, suspending "Him" like an insect trapped in amber, preventing "Him" from triggering a Loop node.[24]
Amanises plunged Twilight Giant Symbol2 an orange-red twilight greatsword into the Darkness edge and into the void, causing the dense Darkness to contract, and the Flow of Time to slow, converging toward a single point which delayed the Fate of the Circle of Inevitability's Destined awakening, pushing it several seconds into the future.[25]
∞ RIVER OF ETERNAL DARKNESS: "They" can control and manifest the River of Eternal Darkness, a straight, illusory dark river that heralds the stillness of fate and the proclamation of death.[25]
The River of Eternal Darkness is a river that never Loops. It always moves forward. Even Death itself would dissipate within its currents.
The colorless, illusory river can submerge all Loop nodes from the Circle of Inevitability, causing them to instantaneously perish and vanish without taking effect.[25]
"They" can combine the symbolisms of Twilight, Darkness, and Death, along with the River of Eternal Darkness, into a single attack capable of killing other Great Old Ones.
Amanises simultaneously struck at the five Great Old Dominators with "Her" terrifying Twilight Giant Symbol2 dusk-orange greatsword and "Her" Darkness Symbol2 dark, bizarre scythe, while opening Death Symbol2 the book formed of coiled feathered serpents. Suddenly, Dusk was consumed by Darkness, Pallor faded into Eternal Rest, and Time and Space fell silent—as if they had been swept into that colorless, shadowy river. The straight river surged forward, aiming to carry the five Great Old Dominators to the ultimate stillness of Death. The final destination was tranquility.

Darkness Symbol2 Darkness is the Pathway that's the most similar to its exterior.

∞ DARKNESS: The Eternal Darkness holds the symbolism of Darkness.
"They" can submerge the world in still and unchanging inky Darkness, making the already dark universe seem even more deathly.[26]
Amanises had caused the dense, silent Darkness to spread outward in order to seek the formless Inextinguishable Ravings.[27]
Amanises shrouded the star dominion in deeper Darkness, Concealing all information to prevent any leaks.[28]
"They" can compel thoughts into Silence and induce Slumber.[25]
"They" can put "Themselves" or "Their" allies into a state of Slumber. This can let "Their" thoughts, spirit, the madness within "Their" Sefirot, and complex and chaotic spirits such as those of the Dao Integrators fall into Stillness.
Amanises used this symbol on the Golden Buddha, allowing "Him" to stabilize after a Dao Integrator from within "Himself" had "His" Fate woven by the Goddess of Fate.[29]
Amanises used this symbol on "Herself", the Golden Buddha, and the Pitch-Black Fiend to allow "Them" to escape the influence of the Inextinguishable Ravings.[30]
Amanises used the Darkness symbol on Grisha Adam to delay the revival of the Primordial God Almighty within "Him".[27]
"They" can use the symbolism of Darkness to force "Their" enemies to enter Slumber.
Amanises caused the River of Eternal Darkness to transform into denser Darkness that enveloped the area, forcing all three bodies of the Circle of Inevitability to close their eyes, entering a state of Sleep.[25]
∞ ETERNAL REST: Under the Eternal Darkness' existence, Eternal Rest would have a destination and even Time would have an Endpoint.
The Eternal Darkness' existence allows the previously wandering Souls on Earth in the Spirit World to finally have Eternal Rest in the River of Eternal Darkness.[31]
"Their" initial appointment put plagues of undead and summoned corpses back to Eternal Rest once again, across the entire universe.[32]
∞ REINCARNATION CYCLE: The Mother Goddess of Depravity and the Eternal Darkness have overlapping authority over spirits. Merging "Them" together would create a cycle like Reincarnation and Rebirth.[33]
With just the Eternal Darkness alone, without the Mother Goddess of Depravity's symbolism, the Reincarnation Cycle will not be complete.[34]
∞ DEATH: The Eternal Darkness holds the symbolism of Death.
The Eternal Darkness can invoke Death on other entities, including other Great Old Ones, however it needs contact.[35]
As the symbolic effect of symbolisms extends gradually and cannot be used to its fullest directly, with the instant effect being limited, this symbolism cannot cause the Death of Great Old Ones that have massive size instantly, such as the Supernova Dominator. The Eternal Darkness would need a period of time to cover the entire range of "His" body.[35]
Essentially, this is Reality resisting and dissipating Mysticism, one of the lower manifestations of the Reality characteristics. For the Mother Goddess who wields the symbol of Reality, mechanism-wise, "She" is immune to the symbolism of Death.[35]
"They" can make the Death of Avatars,[35] Marionettes, Paper Figurine Substitutes, and other similar clones and stand-ins equate to the Death of the main body.[36]
The Eternal Darkness can declare the arrival of Death, which is a form of high-level Prophecy. It is not instant death, nor is it severe damage.[37]
Amanises caused Death Symbol2 the strange book of coiled feathered serpents to flip open to a page displaying Monarch of Decay's name, invoking the Death symbolism on "Him".[24]
Amanises prepared to manifest the name of Inextinguishable Ravings on Death Symbol2 the strange book of coiled feathered serpents in order to invoke the symbolism of Death on "Him".[27]
∞ PASSAGE OF TIME: As long as "They" exist, one will age and grow weaker under the Passage of Time.

∞ ENSLAVEMENT: "They" have the symbolism of Enslavement.[21]
Entities under "Their" Enslavement can be empowered under "Their" control, helping them resist powers such as Charms and Conquest from the Calamity of Destruction Pathways.[39]
The Proxy authority is the manifestation of this symbolism in the Twilight Giant Symbol2 Twilight Giant Pathway.[21]
The Enslavement authority of the Death Symbol2 Death Pathway originates from this symbolism.[40] This is the reason why high-ranking figures of the Death Symbol2 Death Pathway wield significant control and suppression over their lesser counterparts.[39]
∞ DECAY: "They" have the symbolism of Decay.[21]
Normally, "They" are weaker than the Original Creator's direct children (i.e., the complete Mother Tree of Desire and the Son of Chaos). However, as a Great Old One originated directly from the Original Creator, if the Eternal Darkness leverages "Their" unique traits, "They" can exceed the power of the Original Creator's direct children.[41]

The Light Cone is a space-time diagram that illustrates the range of possibilities emanating from a given event that happens at a single point in space and a single moment in time. This range of possibility is constrained by the speed of Light, and thus is in the shape of a Cone in the space-time diagram. Pale wings sprouted from "Her" back, while two short, darkly furred arms each extended from under "Her" ribs and armpits, clutching Twilight Giant Symbol2 a dusk-orange greatsword and Darkness Symbol2 a black, night-like scythe. Aside from the general advancement condition for all Above the Sequence, since the River of Eternal Darkness was influenced and fused by generations of Dao Integrators from the Haoli Lineage, one could reach an agreement with the Underworld Daoist, accept the position of the next Haoli Sect Master, and made an oath to the River of Eternal Darkness to strengthen the Haoli Lineage in the future.[45] Subsequently, the lingering consciousnesses of the Dao Integrators from the Haoli Lineage would assist "Them" to accommodate the Sefirah.[26]
